It's an additional $1.50 charge to have the cookies individually wrapped in the wax bags, and that doesn't really help with preventing them from getting stale hours later. I pre ordered several cookies plus a cookie cake for a birthday online and several days in advance and specified a day and time. I showed up at my scheduled time and the business was closed. I sat and waited for 45 minutes and made several attempts to call. No messages on voicemail or the door indicating why they weren't open despite it being their posted hours. I finally got ahold of them several hours later. They were not able to open due to being short staffed. I totally get it especially during a pandemic, but they had advance notice of my order and a call would've been appreciated. They offered to remake it, but I live 1.5 hours away (round trip). The manager said she would refund my money and give me a gift card. I got the refund but never received a gift card. I gave it two stars because the cookies are pretty good (experience from another location). Just make sure you call before you go to verify they are open. read more

She had class at 11:15 so when it did arrive she was gone and they sent it back. I called again and they said they couldn't explain why it was late and I could cancel my order if I wanted. Customer service was very awkward. Walked in around midnight and the two employees were having a conversation and instead of greeting me or welcoming me, they continued their conversation right at the counter.... so I just awkwardly walked up to the counter where the employee still had not greeted me and just stood there staring at me waiting for me to order after she decided to turn into an employee for 5 seconds. I've worked in retail and food service myself and I'm only 22 years old so I'm usually pretty understanding and forgiving to employees. However, when I worked in customer service I always made sure to greet customers and give them my attention and drop whatever conversation I was having with a coworker because it's called being a decent human being and customer service??? Wow. All I can say, is disappointing. I placed an order around 9:45 and upon receiving my order, I noticed it was entirely incorrect. I call them and asked if they would bring me my correct order and if they wanted the one I had received back, they said that we could have it. They said our correct order would be sent out within an hour because they were "backed up". Shortly after this we received a call from the store requesting "photo-evidence" of the original order they had sent us. They began interrogating us about our order, and did not believe that our order had actually been incorrect. After they agreed to send us the correct order we waited... for over 2 hours. At this point we just wanted a refund, we called insomnia cookies directly (not the store in Tucson) where they connected with someone from the store. The woman we had been speaking to said "they said you got the right order". Naturally, we were quite angry. We sat waiting for hours on end when they never had the intention of bringing us our correct order. As much as I love their cookies and ice cream, I will never be ordering from here again.
