    Original Tonkotsu (Soy Based Soup)*

I vaguely remember the first time I had inspiration roll because it was when I was in the hospital with my first daughter in 2019. I remember I customized a sushi burrito and it was delicious. I finally tried their tonkatsu ramen tonight and it was flavorful and sweet. My husband got the spicy tonkatsu, he loved - he didn't enjoy the sweetness part so much. Very filling and hit the ramen craving.

Decent place for Asian food in the area. They have a decent selection including -ramen, poke bowls, and sushi burritos. The ramen will definitely hit the spot if it's something you are craving. I haven't had the poke bowl or sushi burrito yet, but it is good that there are options out there. While there are better places in the area in my opinion, it is a really great place due to its location right on the Green.

Awesome spot for a quick lunch or dinner. Plenty of options to customize your meal and always on point.

I love this place. They make great ramen, and the broth is so flavorful. I also love all the added ingredients in the ramen.

Love their poke bowls! The spicy tuna and the fresh salmon custom bowls are my fav with soicy mayo!

This place was cute and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can make your own sushi bowl or burrito here. They also have a variety of ramen dishes and appetizers. There is a good amount of indoor seating. This place is located in downtown Somerville so you will have to find parking somewhere else and walk to the restaurant. I took a star away because the rice was really chewy and almost stale tasting, so it made it hard to eat. Their fries however, were amazing! I'm excited to try their ramen next time around!

Solid grab n go spot in morristown. The ramen and apps are solid but also are nothing to to wild about. The broth was enjoyable and the popcorn chicken was delicious, the noodles themselves however were a step above maruchen ramen. Service wise, the staff was very friendly, and also it's important to remember this is a fast casual place so you're getting the atmosphere/food of a fast casual spot! To be honest, this place is right between a 3 and 4 but falls to a 3 simply because, though the apps are great, the main star (the ramen) is a bit of a disappointment. Still would recommend, just don't expect top tier ramen!

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!! I have been a costumer for various years now and I've rarely been disappointed. This place stays consistent in its quality, freshness, and good taste. At this point, I genuinely order food from inspiration roll weekly and we do not get bored or tired from the menu due to the sheer versatility/amount of options the menu has to offer. Portions are extremely generous and delicious-- specially the rice bowls. The only complaint I have is that the service could be a tad better but it is not bad by any means. I highly recommend this spot!!

This is their $17 chicken ramen bowl lol complete with an over boiled egg and really mediocre broth I used to really like this place honestly and I've known it's not the best but I had no idea it went so downhill **they used to have larger portions and actually use bowls - this is a flat bottom container

We always come back to this location. Although they recently hiked up their prices, their food is still reliably delicious. We always go for the Confucius nachos - which is a deconstructed sushi meets nachos - but with wonton chips! So delicious

I stalked this little treasure on NJ monthly. It was my first time, as I was in town on a business trip with my spouse. The magazine raved about it, considering it in the top 10 restaurants in Morristown. So, I had a go and was beyond pleased and in agreement with the magazines reviewers. We tried everything! I had the Ford, a salmon burrito. It was delicious and a generous amount of food. My only edit - skip the mayo. You can add rooster sauce yourself and it will taste spicy and not oddly tangy. The ramen my husband had and it was enough for two meals! The noodles were soft and delicious. And the veggies were tasty within the savory broth. We had the baos too. We preferred the chicken over the shrimp. The buns themselves were as good as what we had in Vietnam last year! They are an absolute must! We also had edamame and two lemonades. The edamame was a bit too salty, ask them to go light. They are otherwise dee-lish! The housemade lemonade was divine. Pick a table at this casual spot and prepare for the amazing! You will be glad you came! There is nothing better in Morris County than sushi burritos on a date night!

    Shrimp tempura poke bowl eh
    Daniela H.

Eh. Tried a shrimp tempura poke bowl with "multigrained" rice, edamame, sesame seeds, and mango. It wasn't my favorite. The shrimp tempura was good just not enough in comparison to other ingredients in the bowl. The mango was hard and dry and not bite sized piece like everything else. The rice was purple, why?, lol. I thought multi grain rice was supposed to be just that not dyed sushi rice. I did enjoy the edamame in my bowl.

I first visited Inspiration Roll 3 years ago while on a motorcycle adventure with my brother. Over the weekend I happened to be in the area again and remembered the delicious sushi burrito I had. Of course I decided to drop by and have another. This time I ordered the American Dream Roll: Spicy tuna, cucumber, guacamole, mango, lettuce, tempura flakes and spicy mayo. Everything mixed together quite well and I was surprised I enjoyed the butter lettuce as much as I did. It provided a great crunch which contrasted the mushy texture of most of the other ingredients. The fish was pretty fresh, but it's not like this was straight up sashimi so the quality could be masked by the other fillings. I'm not mad at it though, for $10 it's a decent deal. I bet this would fill me up just as much or maybe even more than $10 worth of spicy tuna rolls would. This time I also tried the pork baos. They were alright. I didn't quite like the bun much as it was a little cold. The pork was decent but not quite as tender and flavorful as I would've liked. The toppings were plentiful and it looked quite appetizing. Though at $7 for 2 I'd skip these next time. At my first visit I have the Confucius Nachos which were pretty good, but I think I'd add a few more dollars for another sushi burrito instead. The restaurant itself is pretty clean though I wish it were better lit. They do have outdoor seating though and there is a nice park across the street if you prefer to eat there. I'm glad to learn that they have locations closer to me as I wouldn't mind visiting for a sushi burrito now and then.

Other issue - the main one- is their prices are astronomical for a hole in the wall joint in Morristown. As high as any of the Manhattan glam spots, i.e. Soho, Madison Ave, Columbus Circle, etc. Where else do you pay $13 for a salmon roll? 90% of places charge around $7-8 per, so you're looking at a very steep bill. Again, the fish is great but be prepared to spend hi end prices for a hole in the wall joint.
