Super easy and quick booking process. Cute little salons. Donna did my Gel X and did a wonderful job. She was so kind. Parking isn't ideal and is expensive in the structure but welcome to Brentwood.

This place is just min from everything I love so I just had to pop in and see if it was a fit for my biweekly nail appointment and boy they didn't disappoint! If u go here ask for Jessica

Terrible!!! I had a booking at 3:45 and they kept me waiting for 40 minutes and started removal of my nails so late. I explained that I had to leave and asked for them to finish my manicure with no gel. The girl scraped my nails off with the drill so roughly it thinned my nails. She finished and I still had product on my nails, no cuticle treatment or filing and rough nails, no buffing or cleaning. I left with my nails terrible condition. I was still charged! So many great nails spas in the area, so try them instead. Don't waste your time!

I came in unexpected without an appointment from a walk and had decided to get my nails done. This person named Danny was assigned to me and he ended up cutting all my nails super short! I had long beautiful nails with 3 broken but he decided without my approval to cut it down thinking by shorter I thought he meant half way not down to the bone. Once cut down he pulled out acrylics to add to my short nails!?? Without my approval! I told him NOOOOOO I don't do that! Why would he assume I would want to extend my nails with plastic when I could have just repaired the few that I broke?! At this point it was too late to do anything so I sat quietly as he finished asking if I now wanted any designs. Wtf? On my very short nails? NOT! They ended up charging me $25 dollars to remove the gel powder because I didn't want the same thing again as last time!! Well you didn't even give me the option! How could I even do the same thing. Not even possible when my nails were cut super short. The total came to $77 for something I didn't even ask for! I'm very upset and I paid way too much to remove something when it was done by the same instrument and it hurt and burned he was way too rough.

Dip powder by Celine. Sunday 6/13/21

I live in Santa Monica and wanted to try a new nail salon. I found them on Yelp and after reading some of the reviews, I made same-day appointment. I came in around 9:30am on a Sunday, I was their first client of the day. My first intention was to get a gel mani ($52) but ended up spending a bit more ($65) and got dip powder on my natural nails. My nail technician, Celine, did a fabulous job. She was nice, attentive and professional. All employees there are wearing uniforms and the whole place looks very clean and neat. They are very pricey in my opinion, but it's probably because of their location and the type of customers who often visit the salon. Not all customers get treated the same, the two customers (mother and her daughter) who came in after I did were offered a bottle of water while I was never offered something to drink. No judgment, it is what it is. I used to work in retail for many years and know how some of these places profile you by the way you look, how you talk, and what you are wearing. Parking - I was able to find free street parking right in front of the salon.

Worse application and doesn't even last!

I have never given a bad review to any business. I have gone to Instabeauty plenty of times however the past two times have been horrible manicures received by the gentleman that is the owners partner. Paid for a full set of "hydrogel" or something like that that didn't last longer than 10 days before fully lifting. Then went back and gave it another try I received the another manicure from the owners partner which is likely why they are being so resistant to owning up to the fact that the application sucks . The other technicians are good. They are very expensive and refused to redo a manicure plus gel and kept saying they will only reapply the gel on my nails. Anyways a very unprofessional salon for the price they charge. I also saw nail clippings and dead skin scrapings where it should be sanitized and clean.

I think I found my LA nail salon! The website says appointment only, which I did make, but towards the end of my manicure people came in without appointments and they still accepted them. The atmosphere alone is very serene, peaceful. There were only 2 other clients when I was there so it was relaxing. You can tell they strive for the experience of the clients, not how many customers they can get in and out. I got there about 20mins early and they were able to take me early. When they sat me down, they offered me champagne, wine, water, or hot tea, which was nice. My tech Bao was so sweet and really good. He really paid attention to detail throughout my entire manicure, which if anyone knows me, knows I'm a perfectionist when it comes to getting my nails done so I have standards. He did a great job and took his time. Not at all were things rushed and you can tell they really want to make the client happy and satisfied with their nails. I got SNS french manicure, which did take about 2hours but again, I wasn't in a rush and neither was my nail tech. I'm sure if you were to get other type of manure like a normal gel or SNS it wouldn't be so long though. I didn't get a pedicure, but I they have the pedicure chairs with the tub and they were doing their pedicures in that, which was nice to see instead of buckets. Definitely come here!

My friend and I arrived late and although Bao gave us a lot of sass, he still graciously took really good care of us.

At my appointment, Kaz started with a wash and then spent a solid 40-60 minutes on the cut. He's super detailed. It felt like he was paying attention to every single strand. I love how it turned out.!!! After washing, my hair just falls into place naturally. I barely have to style it...just brush and go. I travel a frequently so I didn't get back for about three months, but my hair still held up and looked good. Definitely recommend Kaz.

Yuji was my hairdresser, and he was so kind, precise, and skilled with my haircut. When I first walked in, I thought, "ah this really is a no frills hair salon," and I'll admit I was a little nervous since it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and will definitely be booking with Yuji again. Thank you Hair Craft for such a wonderful experience!!!

You're escorted to the lockers to put your belongings away, given a cozy robe, and immediately made to feel relaxed and taken care of. The service here is honestly unparalleled--even compared to many places I've visited in Japan. The scalp cleansing feels incredible, and the head massage is so amazing that it deserves to be its own standalone service. While you're getting your hair done, they also offer a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks, making the entire experience feel thoughtful and elevated. As for Olivia--she was phenomenal. I came in with no specific hairstyle in mind. I simply pointed out the areas I was concerned about, and she expertly created a look that suited me while explaining what she was doing every step of the way. She gave me practical styling tips and genuinely focused on the long-term health of my hair. What stood out the most was that she never tried to upsell me on products or unnecessary services. Instead, she genuinely cared about making sure my hair was healthy and that I left happy with the results. That level of honesty is hard to find these days. If you're looking for a salon that values quality, craftsmanship, and customer care over making a quick sale, this is the place. The pricing is incredibly fair for the level of service and attention you receive. I can't recommend Olivia enough. I'll definitely be coming back!

I had a very disappointing experience with this salon…read more I booked my perm appointment in advance, drove over an hour to get there, and arrived early as they requested. However, when it came time to be seen, I was told it had been cancelled. It took multiple receptionists to realize that one of them had accidentally canceled it. The problem is that I was never notified. I didn't receive a cancellation email or text despite having notifications enabled, and no one could explain why I wasn't contacted. If I had been notified, I wouldn't have wasted over two hours driving. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. There was no tangible effort to make things right--no attempt to fit me in, prioritize me for another appointment, or offer any accommodation after I had cleared my schedule to see them and spent so much time traveling and waiting. I understand that mistakes happen, but unfortunately, I left feeling like my time wasn't valued, and I can't recommend a salon that handles scheduling errors this way. Additional note: My appointment was originally in August, but I rescheduled for July. I received a cancellation email for the August booking, but never the July one because I didn't cancel it. Edit: They claimed to have offered to schedule me with the soonest available appointment, but what's to guarantee that my appointment isn't mistakenly cancelled again? What's your new procedure to ensure my time isn't wasted? Will I receive an email notification this time? I can also schedule at home for your "soonest available appointment," so ultimately I was still offered poor customer service.

Daniel is absolutely amazing! Not only is he an absolute sweetheart and an awesome person all…read morearound but he also truly takes the time to put his focus and care into each one of his clients. It was my very first time with The Hideout Salon and not only was he understanding of any scheduling rearrangements we had to make, he also made sure to make it a point that we would be setting enough time aside for what we would anticipate needing so that when the time came, there would be zero rush along with top quality service which makes a huge difference in customer experience compared to factory booking which sacrifices quality, time, and attentiveness for squeezing in numbers, and as clients we all greatly appreciate this! While I was waiting Allie was very sweet and settled me in/welcomed me and offered me something to drink. The decor of the place felt very cozy and cute. If youre a dog lover you'll also be very happy to probably see a friendly cute Lil doggo named Carl (Karl?) comfortably shimmying his way around the shop (and if youre scared of dogs dont worry, he really just does his own thing Lol). Hes So darn cute and floofy. I came in for both a color and a consultation for a potential cut. Because I sometimes tend to notice/look at details that others may want to gloss over or perceive as me overanalyzing, it felt really difficult for me to explain to others how my recent haircut from another place just a month or two ago had specific lengths and cuts in specific areas going around my whole hair that had left my previous haircut feeling kind of "off" in certain ways and that I felt was giving my hair the very slight illusion of looking shorter than it actually really was and a little "choppy" in some areas, which then had an effect on how it framed my face/widened it instead of helping elongate it. But when I explained it to Daniel, he totally got it and even held up the individual sections that he agreed were causing those effects, why it was creating the effect that it was and how we would resolve it. I was so happy that he not only truly acknowledges and makes it important to understand where his clients are coming from (whether its concerns or goals etc) but that he also has such skill and knowledge to be able to fully do so and hit the nails right on the head. The color was also beautiful as well and because I wanted something that was healthier than permanent that would also give my hair a healthier appearance (ie shine, softness, gloss etc) he recommended the demi and also mentioned that it would make it easier down the road for me to go lighter if I ever wanted to. The color blended and matched so well with the rest of my hair and everything from the cut to the color made me feel like all of my goals were achieved. Everything Daniel did with my hair left me feeling so *Bonita*, and he was just such a joy to work with and an awesome person all around. Thank you Daniel for this lovely experience :) -------------------------------- Parking: Since the salon is in the heart of Downtown, its best to try and arrive a bit earlier than your appointment time and to be prepared for alot of one way streets and quickly turning into the available open public parking lots closeby before passing the salon (to avoid having to go further down in a circle to get back to the parking again). I believe there are 2 or 3 lots before you pull up to the salon that have big signs that say public parking. If youre driving towards the direction of the salon, out of the 3 the first one youll pass is just self-service/pay which was the one I parked in, and the other two have attendants as you pull up to the salon. Im not sure if both of those allow open access to all, so i will find out the next time I go again :) The front of the salon itself can be very easy to miss so just make sure to park before you even pass it on your GPS and youll see a small little sign over a door that says the Hideout salon when you walk up. There will be a door code for you to enter so just ask the salon for the door code in advance so that youre all set to go when you get there as well :)
