I was a little nervous because I absolutely did not want them overdone or made too thin. It wasn't an easy starting point because she had previously tried to shape them herself and had accidentally shaved some areas unevenly. I was honestly not sure how much could even be done until those areas grew back. Renee was AMAZING. She immediately understood exactly what we wanted, and the result was beyond anything I expected. In just a few minutes, she transformed my daughter's eyebrows so beautifully and naturally that I was honestly amazed. She knew exactly what to remove, what to leave, and how to create a shape that perfectly complemented her face. I was so impressed that I decided to have mine done too -- and WOW again! Renee has an incredible eye for shape, symmetry, and detail. You can tell she really understands how eyebrows should complement each individual face. We both walked out absolutely thrilled. I went in thinking I could just jump right back in to the color, highlights and cut I used to have. Unfortunately, after that illness and age, my hair had irreversibly changed and was too weak to take the processes it would take to make my "fantasy" happen. Naz was honest with me, empathetic and kind..she gave me realistic suggestions and "held my hand" throughout, used products that actually helped my hair and educated me on how to use them. I didn't walk out with the fantasy, but I did walk out with healthy, beautiful hair with a great cut. My husband noticed my hair right away (after 20 years of marriage this is a rare occurrence) and thought it looked amazing. And at the end of the day, I felt great about my hair and that's how you want to feel when you walk out of the salon. I cannot recommend Naz and Salon Biology enough!

A few days after my appointment, I called to let them know I wasn't happy with the results. I was told to wait about three weeks before coming back to have it redone. When I called back after that, no one answered. I then left for a work trip to Japan. When I returned, I submitted a request through their website asking for a refund. Someone from the salon called me and asked if I wanted to come back and have the same technician redo the service. I politely asked if I could have a different technician instead, but I was told that wasn't an option. Since I wasn't comfortable having the same person perform the service again, I again requested a refund. Then the owner told me it's too late to have someone at the salon redo it or to get a refund. Horrible customer service. I've attached photos comparing the results. The first photo is the lash lift I received from Salon Biology. The second photo is from a different salon that charged about half the price, and the results were dramatically better. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Salon Biology for lash lifts. I was disappointed not only with the quality of the service but also with how my concerns were handled. I will not be returning.

I recently purchased a 10-session package for $430. I only learned Alyssa was leaving because she casually mentioned it during one of my last appointments. As a client with a half-used prepaid package, I was never proactively notified, offered options, or told how my remaining services would be handled. To be fair, I genuinely tried to make the situation work. I even booked an appointment with one of the artists Alyssa personally recommended. Unfortunately, while they were kind, the results simply were not to my standards. That confirmed what I already knew: I purchased this package specifically because I trusted Alyssa's work--not simply because I wanted eyebrow threading. Feeling stuck, and without another solution, I requested a prorated refund of the unused package. I didn't ask for this refund because of any changes on my end. I requested one because the provider whose services I specifically prepaid for became unavailable indefinitely. Had Alyssa not left, I never would have requested a refund. Instead, I was expected to absorb the financial loss caused by circumstances entirely outside my control, which I believe was fundamentally unfair. Although Alyssa did agree to issue a partial refund, which I appreciate, she would only do so after retroactively repricing all of my completed appointments at the full individual session rate instead of the discounted package rate I had paid. As a result, my refund was substantially reduced. I would never have chosen to receive these services at the full individual session rate. I purchased the package because the discounted pricing reflected the value I was willing to pay. Retroactively converting completed appointments to the full retail rate fundamentally changes the financial agreement I originally accepted. I was told that Alyssa's policy only allows a package-rate refund if an artist "permanently leaves." However, "buying a one-way ticket", "planning to travel for over a year", and having "no return date"is, from a client's perspective, functionally no different. Expecting clients to leave hundreds of dollars with a business indefinitely in the hope that an artist may someday return is unreasonable and unfair. Unfortunately, this experience reflects what I now recognize as a broader pattern. When the studio transitioned to the Fresha booking app, I accidentally booked with a newly hired artist because I didn't realize the new system assigned providers differently than before. Of course, I was welcome to keep that appointment, but I am very particular about my eyebrows, and for several years Alyssa had been the only person I trusted to thread them. Rather than proceed with an artist I didn't know, I immediately explained the misunderstanding and chose to forgo the appointment and wait for Alyssa instead. Despite being a loyal client for years, there was no flexibility or grace for what was clearly an honest mistake during a confusing system transition, and I was still required to pay for an appointment I never received. I've also seen disheartening posts on her business instagram page where she appears to poke fun of clients who arrive late. While every business has the right to enforce a late policy, publicly ridiculing clients who support your business struck me as unprofessional and disappointing. Even as someone who was never once late to an appointment, I still found these posts to be incredibly off-putting. True customer service isn't only about offering clients a drink when they arrive. It is about showing respect for them in difficult situations, especially when your business can no longer fulfill its obligations. Although Alyssa's talent is undeniable, and I sincerely wish her the best with her travels, her talent doesn't excuse poor communication or unfair business practices. After six years of loyalty, I expected to be treated with far more transparency, fairness, and consideration than I received.

This is the second time I come to this location and only because its close to work. I had told myself not to go again and here we are. The first time not only did I pay $76 dollars for a gel Mani and Pedi because they told me on top of the mani and pedi it was $15 dollars more for gel each. I was already summered in water so I was ok. Fine! For the price I paid they didn't even turn the massage chair on. I called before coming in to make an appointment I was 5 minutes early because I knew I had to get it done during my lunch. They took 1:30 minutes even though I mentioned I needed to get out of there in one hour. Second time at the Location. I decided to go with a friend. Him and I walked in and ask if they would be able to do my nails and a pedi and he needed a manicure. They said yes 15 minute wait even though they where doing 3 pedicures and two manicures while we arrived. After sitting there for over 15 minutes I called another nail shop and they heard so they were like oh no come sit. As I was sitting there while they took of my nail polish an appointment walked in and I decided to ask. Are you going to have time to do my Nails and He's Manicure. The lady to my right which I believe to the supervisor said no, we only have time for pedicure. So Once again I asked what about he's manicure he's been sitting there for about 30 minutes. No we don't have time. Now I'm frustrated because the only thing they have done is remove my nail polish and they have no time for my nails or my friends manicure. Yet when we walked in they told us to wait. Not only that but she asked if I still wanted the pedicure and stopped. Since she stopped I decided to go. I am now seven weeks out and so frustrated that any "professional" could do this to anyone. My nails have never been so short or so fragile. They are less than paper thin. Any nail growth whatsoever breaks and snags on anything and everything. I wouldn't wish this on anyone - AND to think I PAID to have this done to me! Zero stars.

I paid $100 for a manicure that began falling apart almost immediately and have now had to make multiple trips back to the salon to fix the same issue. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. The service was overpriced, the customer service was dismissive, and the quality of the work was unacceptable. When a service fails this quickly, customers should not be expected to repeatedly return for repairs while being denied a reasonable resolution.

Those were actually her own nails, and she swore that it was the bio gel that helped her grow them so long and strong. SOoooo, after reading about bio gel and then looking ALL OVER yelp for a place that offered it on the Westside (for some reason, they all seem to be up in the Valley or near DTLA), I found this one place in Santa Monica. AND they could take me on a Sunday afternoon. Who knew from the plain, (very) unpretentious storefront on Lincoln that this is where I'd get the most detailed, personalized, attentive manicure of my life ~ and that includes regular, gel, and powder-dip manis in dozens of different places. The interior of the shop is, I gotta be frank, not quite your average Westside mani-and-martini kind of place. Not even close. But Anh (I hope I'm spelling it right) was the first person ever to take a close look at my nails and notice that they tend to go up a bit at the tips (so THAT's why my polish always wore off quickly at the ends!). So she got to work with the bio gel (and she had lots of colors of both the Bio Sculpture and the Bio Seaweed kinds) and meticulously, painstakingly built up my nails so that they were flat before layering on the color (you can't really tell from the picture, but it's kind of iridescent) and top coat. And all this with such a sweet, upbeat demeanor. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and all I had to do after was some grocery shopping, because the whole thing, including removing the regular gel I had on, took two and a half hours. She did say that she could work faster if I needed her to, but heck, it was Sunday and the groceries could wait a day ~ I was getting the best manicure of my life!
