I had to look for a new salon after enduring poor manicures and multiple excuses from my usual salon for the last three visits. I selected RU salon based on their reviews and photos. I was so pleasantly surprised at how clean and professional the salon looked, and how personalized the recommended treatment was. My nails were in terrible shape, and Elaina took time and (a lot of) effort to treat, prep, and shape what was left of them. I ended up with a perfect manicure, with shorter nails that will strengthen in time, and with a manicurist that I can rely on for impeccable service. The difference between an ordinary salon and a Russian manicure is the care they take of your cuticles, and how they apply the gel to all of the visible nail to not only protect it but also allow a longer coverage from the very edge of the cuticle. I am so happy to go back and get a pedicure as well, and I wondered why it took me so long to accept less than perfect service. Their attention to detail resides not only in the care of the nails, but also beverages, a little plate of sweets, and a phone charger on the table. My best friend and I had such a great experience at this nail salon. The service was incredibly detailed and thoughtful from start to finish. My manicure and pedicure came out amazing--everything was done with care, especially the cuticle work, which was truly top-notch. The staff made sure we were well taken care of throughout the visit, and the complimentary chocolates were a really sweet touch. Parking can be a little tricky in the area, but that's expected for the neighborhood--just plan to arrive a bit early to find a spot.
