When I come to instant I think of value! I came being able to speak, my verbiage was on point, I could say sentences and speak words. Then, then came Eric.... and then my memory went in to a flow of memories, of nostalgia and love to the sounds of Cher and Drake (idk why everyone plays him so much). Equally as much forgetfulness came and the last thing I remembered was laughter, shots with friends, good memories and the taste of hops. I'm almost afraid to tell you, dear internets, how much I love this new little bar!! For years my West Valley friends and I have been lamenting the craptacular assortment of drinking establishments in their vicinity. We'd finally decided that Casey's Tavern was just about the best choice for us, despite the fact that it can get a little noisy. Then, someone found Instant Replay! Apparently some of the guys who worked for years at TGI Friday's down the street have banded together and bought a bar. I LOVE IT. I love the idea that they're stickin it to that big evil corporation by giving us a better spot to hang out in!! There's a lot of space to sit, drinks are STRONG and CHEAP, and there were a ton of specials. At some point I ended up drinking a $3 cosmopolitan just because! So, I'm a little cautious about telling y'alls about this place because I'd hate for it to blow up too much, thereby wrecking the casual, no-frills, no-pretense nature of the bar. Top three favorite points of the night, after cheap, strong drinks and how easy it was to hang out and talk, is the fact that Taco Reyes has a catering truck open after hours behind the bar, so when you're completely drunk from drinking $3 cosmos, you can order a little plate of gorgeous tacos to sop up all the vodka. Walking into this place a couple nights ago was like the weirdest type of time warp. My good friend lived directly next to this bar for a couple years about 7 years ago and we never deigned to set foot into it thanks to its sketchy reputation. Fast forward 7 years, throw in a new owner and it's possible this place may become my new favorite hidden valley gem. Solid and dangerous specialty cocktails and a unique beer list greet you behind the curved bar. That means this place is perfect for guys and girly girls alike. There's a jukebox and dart board to keep you busy while getting your booze on and the owner is super friendly and helpful when you find yourself completely lost as to which delicious option you should go with. They have a good amount of parking in the back. I like this bar because it's more of a low key bar. We usually come here to watch games. My husband likes this place because they offer more of a variety of beers especially IPAs and stronger beers. It also helps that when you check in you get $1 off your first drink. Out of every single bar in L.A., Instant Replay is hands down, my all-time favorite. It doesn't matter where I start my night, I will always want to end up here. Some people may say that I'm creature of habit. I'd like to think that I have impeccable taste ;) They have great craft beers on tap that rotate. Prices are great too, ranging from $4-$6. They also usually have a beer special. Not a beer guy or gal? Mixed drinks are cheap and strong, just how I like em. There are TV's, a dart board and a juke box, for those who were wondering. This place is definitely a dive bar. The bar tenders are really nice. You can get tacos next door and they sometimes walk your order to the bar. TV's are ok. There are plenty but the bar is a bit small and it can be difficult to get a comfortable angle. Overall: I'd go back to sit back and catch a game, have a good conversation about LA sports teams with other bar crawlers. read more

I've been to this bar twice as both times were great! My most recent visit, I'd come in with a friend after quickly leaving 'The Rabbit Hole' up the street. 'Instant Replay' looks so plain from the outside. You wouldn't even know that it's there! Just a sign and a door, next to a taco shop. No security or anything at the door which is cool. Coming in, the bar wasn't over crowded like the last one we'd visited was. Our bartender, Eric, was so easy to talk to and just gave off a friendly vibe and a happy to be there attitude. He was great! There was music playing in the background, a couple groups of friends playing darts and people just talking and laughing all up and down the bar and on the tables. My friend and I come in with our 3DS' (gameboys) haha and played at the bar while having our drinks. Mixed drinks were SO cheap and pretty strong. I'm used to paying for the $12 mixed drinks in a downtown clubs and bars, so my jaw dropped when I was our bill for on mixed drink and two beers at $13. I almost thought there was something wrong haha. My only complaint is that when it was time to close out, it took a while to get my check (close to 10 minutes), and I had to ask for it twice. But by the time I was leaving around 12:45 the bar was getting crowded and there were only two people working, so I understand. I'm not a dick about things. And plus it didn't matter because I was enjoying my time there. Ivan and I got lucky as well, because it was one of the bartenders' birthdays that day, and the staff had bought pizza, chips, cupcakes, and glow sticks for everyone at the bar! Free food and snacks?! I almost felt like I was dreaming haha. This is a great little neighborhood bar. I always thought it was a total dive whenever I visited Taco Reyes next door. Once a week, when my buddy has an off day we grab a couple of drinks in the late afternoon. We used to hit the Blarney Cove until they changed ownership and closed on Mondays and the Fifty before they shut their doors. In any case, we ended up at this spot as a last resort. The inside is dark (like a bar), but it is clean and well kept. The bartenders and owners are cool and the crowd (at least during that time) is mellow. Drinks are super reasonable. I drink Ketel and my buddy drinks Crown and I think they charge us $6 or $7 a round for a decent pour. I'm not a big beer drinker anymore, but if you are, their selection is very good on tap. As mentioned earlier, Taco Reyes is next door so you can grab some tasty mexican food to munch on while you're there. I would appreciate a pool table or something in there, but I understand that space is a concern, especially if it gets crowded in the evenings as I'm told. read more

This is the only place I know in the West Valley with anything close to this kind of selection of craft beers. Service was quick, friendly, and miss bartender was cute and pleasant to talk to :) I had a Bear Republic Mach 10 and Ommegang Aphrodite. Both were amazing, and well priced. Played darts with some of the regulars, they're real nice folks. Bathroom was decently clean, and there's ample parking in the back. I think I'm in love with their Black Market Hef. I'm sold on this place. I loved the female bartender. Caucasian lady, mid thirties I believe, very friendly and warm. I had their 805 IPA which I also liked, but I'm a Hef guy all the way, and the Black Market Hef felt great. I think roughly about $5 for a draft beer and $6+ and up for mixed drinks. They do allow you to order something from next door, Tacos Reyes. Wasn't to thrilled about the Asada, but the Chorizo was great. Place looked clean, room was a little hot but the AC seamed to kick in. Overall, I was very happy. read more

I've been to this place a few times before and had a good time which is why yesterday's experience baffles me. I arrived there just at opening time to find a a blonde woman bartender I've never seen before. I ordered a Vodka Cranberry which was okay and I gave her a $2 for a $5 drink. I really don't know what happened from there on but she was very short with me. I can't explain it since I'm not a troublemaker by any means and I was just simply sitting there quietly drinking my drink. After that one drink, I simply wasn't feeling very comfortable so I got up to go and I said goodbye at which point she totally ignored me.. I know she heard me because I was l less than 3 feetl away from her in a bar that had maybe 6 other people in there. She wasn't even talking to anyone so a noisy bar was not the reason for her sudden inability to hear me. She was simply rude. I might try going to that bar one more time but I'll make sure ahead of time to make sure that that bitch isn't working there! read more

Nice friendly dive bar hidden in a tiny strip mall in the Valley. We visited on a Valentine's Day pub crawl; the vibe was super cool with a come-as-you-are feel. The prices are definitely right: I celebrated the holiday with a My Bloody Valentine beer for $4.00....and it was way after happy hour! Free popcorn was replenished regularly by the friendly staff. I was on a Date night and had two hours before our movie time, so I yelped Bars in the area and came across Instant Replay the reviews were what made me choose this place. I am so happy I found this AWESOME Bar! The drinks are inexpensive and poured very generously. I was very impressed with both the Bartenders working that night Eric and a blond lady( didn't get her name) both were very nice and attentive, the atmosphere was great the music was very good and I was able to play music of my choice as well. Eric gave us two drink chips which we will use on our next visit. I think I found a new favorite Bar. Thank you so much for making our experience so unforgettable. read more
