Integrity Comfort Systems came highly recommended to us from our Realtor, and when we moved into our home and realized the HVAC was lacking, they sent a rep out to us post-haste, who was able to assess our needs for upgrade and repair. He took pictures of all the nooks and crannies of our attic and was able to then immediately show us what was going on upstairs and what should probably be fixed, then provided us with 4 repair options, ranging from essentially "the works" on down to "band aid." For what we needed, they offered a no-money-down, 0% payment plan, were able to get us approved on the spot, and then scheduled a work crew to make the repairs FOR THE NEXT DAY. We needed a new AC condenser + a pretty extensive overhaul of our ducts and vents and they got the work done over the course of a single day and look: yes, there were several men drilling, sawing, installing and crawling around inside our walls all day, but I can honestly say at times I didn't even notice they were there. All of the staff we worked with were professional, courteous, knowledgable and willing to walk us through any questions we had no matter how simple or stupid our inquiries were. When all the work was done, they mentioned they offer a maintenance plan for annual check ups (but also did us the courtesy of explaining some simple self-maintenance we can do as well), and recommended their in-house bulk-filter purchasing options as well, which will save us $$ over buying filters at Lowe's/Home Depot, etc. As the beginning of the review states, stop looking and pick up the phone! These are the guys. This week my system stopped blowing cold air even though the condenser and fan were running. Mike Di Nallo is an outstanding representative of this company. Kenny installed a new furnace for me about 9 years ago. I was very pleased with his professionalism, work ethic, cleanliness of his work area and honesty. At the time, he pointed out that my air conditioning compressor was old and would need replacing soon. He could have easily "up sold" me in to replacing it then but he suggested I maintain it as needed and replace it when it finally dies. Now that is an honest guy. It's now 9 years later and although the unit is noisier and needs a few servicing needs It's still cooling our home. So, you know who I called when I needed a Nest thermostat installed. Michael came out and informed me what I already suspected. My house is old and an additional wire is needed before the Nest could be installed. He asked me if I had any other concerns relating to my heating and air conditioning. I told him I'd like better air flow through the vents but based on the age of the house I guess I'd have to live with it. He went into my attic checked things out came down and just like Kenny 9 years earlier told me honestly that I could keep the ducting as it is doing its job and at some point if I wanted to invest in better ducting to increase the air flow to give him a call. Being as he had to come back to install the new thermostat I asked how much it would cost to replace the ducting. The price seemed fair to me so I told him to do it. Two days later a crew arrived to complete all of the work and I couldn't be happier. I swear Kenny has cloned himself. Michael and the entire crew couldn't have been nicer and kept my home cleaner doing their work. After the fires here in Thousand Oaks we experienced a high level contaminated air inside our home. To my surprise, one of my air-conditioners didn't function at all so there was no filtering of the air. I called Integrity Comfort Systems HVAC and spoke with Julie. Mike, the technician, came out the very next day. Alas, it was just a loose wire in the thermostat, but Mike did an excellent job checking out not only the compressor that didn't work but my other compressor and forced air unit as well. There was no doubt our 25+ years old AC & furnace were going to be replaced. This review consists of 2 parts, estimates and performance. Estimates: We talked to 4 companies, all of which have high yelp.com results for HVAC installations. The results of those conversations were quite different. All 4 spent time with us thoroughly discussing options and gave either a firm quote or cost range estimates before they left. Company A representative gave us a cost range based on options and told us a written estimate would be sent in a day or two. Several days later he called and asked if we had questions. I told him we had not received a written estimate. He suggested maybe an email address problem; verified email; estimate promised next day. Job is now done and still no estimate. Company B representative gave us a firm quotation. When asked about a written estimate, we were told it would be provided after a deposit was received. We're from the east coast and have learned that many things are different in CA but that seemed a little too different. That's too bad because we had a positive reaction to him and what he had been saying until that point. Company C representative told us a written estimate would be sent in a day or two. He said a few things I thought indicated he was trying too hard to show experience: He pointed out the furnace closet door was being sucked closed because of a lack of a seal either between the furnace and its support or between the furnace and the metal box above it. Afterward, I opened and closed the closet door and realized the door closed because it has kitchen cabinet type hinges: as the door approached a closed position, the door self closes. More importantly, a few days later he provided verbal estimates for the options via the phone. But no written estimate. He called a few days later and asked if we had made a decision. I told him we had and we would not be using his company. Company D, Integrity Comfort Systems, representative gave us a cost range based on options and told us a written estimate would be sent the next day. We had it in the morning. Every option was completely detailed. One should realize the estimate you receive is nothing more than a slightly modified version of the previous estimate the contractor sent to another potential customer. And that estimate is nothing more than a slightly modified version of the previous 100 estimates the contractor sent to other potential customers. I know this is a very busy time of year but a written estimate is not that time consuming to provide and it is a safeguard for both parties. Integrity Comfort Systems Performance: 1. All communications, whether in-person, phone, text & email, were professional. 2. Their estimate costs were closer to the low end of all of the verbal cost ranges we received. 3. Questions about some of the items included in the options were answered, in writing, very quickly. 4. Minor modifications to the selected option estimate were provided quickly, in writing, enabling us to approve the estimate and be added to the work scheduled asap. 5. The removal of existing and installation of new AC, furnace and related components was done by their professional and courteous 3-person crew in one long hot day, providing helpful information along the way, dealing with a few complications as the work progressed and humoring a home owner who was trying only a little bit to not be too much of a pest. A job very well done. 6. Performance was excellent! Everything about this project, from the initial phone call to the clean driveway after they left with cool air flowing out of the air ducts, was excellent. While I know a lot of us wait for something to go wrong with their heating and/or air conditioning systems before they (have to) call for help, in light of my my recent experience with Integrity Comfort Systems, I would suggest you not wait. In my situation, in advance of the (hot) summer months coming, I was referred to James at Integrity for the purpose of having them do an inspection and cleaning of my AC and furnace. The whole process, starting with the appt was efficient and timely. I called on a Thursday (spoke to Julie), set an appt for the next day, Friday. After getting off the phone I immediately received a text confirming the appt (Friday 9:00 - 9:30 am). Then on Friday morning, at 8:50, i received a text from the technician, Michael, indicating that he would be arriving by 9:20, as he did. Michael was professional and thorough and his experience was obvious. And while my AC only needed to be cleaned, he did point out several issues with my furnace one of which was the condensation overflow pump had been improperly connected and would not function as intended should the unit malfunction. How would I have known...not to mention that the last guy (in 2016) never noticed or tested it! Now, as a result, we can head into the summer months not even thinking about our AC. Also, moving forward, based on the semi-annual inspection program (March/September) that I signed up for, I might (LOL) actually look forward to the re-inspection for the end of Sept...in advance of needing to use the furnace. Called with AC problem after normal business hours on a Friday night. Julie set up an appointment between 11 and 1 the next day. As it worked out, I was notified the Tech could arrive between 9:30 and 10 AM, all the better. Eric arrived and the problem was quickly determined. Rats had stripped off insulation on some outside wiring. Eric used extra measures to eliminate future problems in my particular installation. All work was done in a professional manner. I have called Integrity before and received good service for a much more complex service call.
