My family and I were visiting my sister when we wanted to find a nice local place. We love supporting local businesses when we visit places, so we thought we'd give this place a try. This place is a little small, but it was great. We loved the artwork in the back area and the staff were very friendly. It was nice ordering on the tablet up front because we didn't feel the pressure of having someone standing in front of us waiting to take our order as we tried to figure out what we wanted. We both decided to get chai teas and they were delicious. We had also ordered a bunch for my sister's family to take back to them. The staff labeled all of the cups with the names of the drinks and any changes, like the oat milk in my chai. I think we'll probably be coming back when we visit again. read more

Location: Kind of inconspicuous in the corner of a plaza with a parking lot. The outdoor patio is besides the sidewalk. Note: The busy intersection is really noisy. The first time I visited, the recommendations were the lavender/rose latte or the Spanish latte. I ended up ordering a vanilla latte after the worker kindly made a lavender latte for me to try because I didn't remember if I was ok with lavender or not and yeah.. not for me. The iced vanilla latte was good, no complaints. The second time I ordered the honey cream cold brew and I preferred the vanilla latte more. They use Stereoscope coffee but they don't sell their beans. They have their own beans. A restroom is available to use for customers. The outdoor patio has one long bar table with no accessible outlets, one wooden seating area that is more suited for chilling and chatting, about 4 tables of 2 seats that have some kind of reach to an outlet (you can bring an extension cord), and 2-3 chairs to chat at. There is also another table in front facing the parking lot. So there is a good amount of seating with a mix of working seats and chatting seats. read more

ive gone here a couple times now and have really liked it! the croissant needed a bit more cheese, but i got a pesto sandwich before and i remember really liking it. the chocolate chip cookie was amazing though! the coffee is also pretty good! the place and servers are nice and the food comes out at a good time. there are a few mosquitos sometimes though so just put on some insect repellent if you are like me and always gets bitten by insects. i would obviously go again though! best cafe i found in fullerton so far. read more

I have been coming to Intentional Coffee for a couple of years and I'm finally writing a review. I came here for a girl time that was much needed. Ambiance: it's super chill. There are people who are mostly working or doing school work. Lots of laptops out. Quiet. Coffee: I got a vanilla oat milk latte (hot) and my friend got a rose latte. Both were delish! Nothing fancy. Just a good cup of coffee. Price, if I remember, was over $6 but with inflation, that's expected. The barista was not totally into conversing but he was good. Parking: it's always packed in the lot, but you'll be fine. I do wish that the interior of the coffee shop was cleaner. The tables were not clean. It was sticky and you could tell people had been there. Also, the service could be improved. I personally love when baristas show their enthusiasm for coffee. read more

Intentional coffee is one of our go to coffee joints in the area. The staff and ownership is friendly, they have a great selection of drink offerings, pastries and a few small menu items to eat. They also proudly serve Stereoscope coffee in all of their drinks. I am pretty basic when I order and typically go with a standard iced vanilla latte (sugar free if offered) or iced mocha. Both drinks from Intentional are made well and the staff member will always walk the drink to you in person whether waiting inside or out which is nice. The center the shop sits in lacks parking and I often feel awkward walking back to my car due to some unsavory looking characters hanging out in the lot outside panhandling and have been followed pretty nuch all the way to my car to get asked for cash and then yelled at when I didnt have any to spare. This is not on the business but I do wish they would at least not allow this to happen right outside their entrance door. What holds this place back for me is the lack of knowing which drink is which when handing them to you and often have them mismarked. I typically also order my wife a honey lavender latte as well as my drink and ammoften told this is vanilla and one sip of that lingers for me as I cannot stand the taste of lavender in my drink. My other gripe is everytime I have attempted the blueberry tea I am told they do not have it, this was also an issue continuously with their strawberry drink as well which I dont even know if this is still on the menu. They have a quaint little courtyard seating area fenced in and right off the main street and always have people studying so it is good to see them doing well as they do offer a delicious product. I am a fan and will be back many times to come but really hope they can fix the tea situation for me and actually have inventory of all their menu offerings. read more

This place is SO good. As a former starbucks manager, It's nice to get to drink some quality coffee LOL. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Is my favorite coffee shop my favorite because it's close to my house or because I love coming here...? I love coming here for a lot of different reasons. Intentional is one of my favorite coffee finds and it's quickly become one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and get some work done. The interior is beautiful. I love that there's a patio seating and there's indoor seating. The staff have all been incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend any espresso drink because their espresso is amazing. It's strong, delicious, and has that rich flavor of coffee. My absolute favorite drink from here is a vanilla oat milk latte. I've liked oat milk in my coffees before but i just feel like it's just on a higher level here. Their pastries are also quite good -- esp with the yelp discount of 20% off. I'm partial to their chocolate croissant and strawberry croissant. Although it's one of my favorite places to study, I try to avoid it from 6pm-8pm because it oddly always becomes really loud at this time. It's a very mellow and calming place to study and work every other time. I'm looking forward to coming back already. read more

Stopped in the morning to grab some coffee before starting our day! I ordered the Lavender latte & a tea and my bf got the Americano. My latte was super good and not overly sweet. Customer service was awesome, the guy that helped us was super nice and helped me choose a tea to soothe my sore throat. The tea I got was really good (Ginger Ginseng). Only bummer was that I was super excited about the fact that they have donuts from The Donuttery but there wasn't a huge selection. I think we may have just been a bit early (7:30am) but I hope next time we stop in there will be more of a selection! But it was too much of a hassle for me to do it so I ended up using Yelp's discount instead (which was 15% off). I ordered Vegan Spanish latte and ceremonial matcha tea. When my order was ready, the barista was nice enough to let me know that they are more than welcome to add more sweetness if needed. Super cute indoor space but what struck me was the beautiful outdoor side patio. I came during the day but it had a bunch of string lights! Must be so pretty at night. There was a couple in front of me when I ordered and a line seemed to form after me so seems like a place people frequent. I waited a bit for my cortado, maybe 12 ish minutes. Cortado was ok. Ehh...I wanted to like this place. The latte arts on their yelp page got me hooked so I ordered an iced latte and avocado toast for lunch through doordash. Avocado toast had a nice visual, but the toast wasn't toasted at all; it was stale and cold. The avocado tasted more like those store bought guac spreads that are mushy and runny. Was hoping for some fresh avocado chunks but nowhere near that kind of quality. The arugula and tomatoes on top made it bearable. My iced latte was pretty underwhelming too. The coffee was too bitter it's questionable if the espresso was made properly. Maybe the in-store experiences are better..but knowing how mediocre these tasted, I would not have paid the high end cafe price for these. read more

This coffee shop is located in the corner of a janky old shopping center full of ugly storefronts. Upon entering there's an order kiosk (probably leftover from covid) but we went straight to front counter. Baked goods looked dry and sad. Barista had zero personality, none, acted like we were a burden even being there. We ordered 2 hot Americanos, easiest drink ever, and it was burnt and dirty tasting. I tossed mine, too bitter. My husband asked for a bit of cream to lighten it up and after a huge sigh the barista handed him a shot glass sized cup of milk. Why not just have cream available on the counter with sugar etc. We opted for sitting outside and the patio is dirty and rundown and offers the charming view of Brookhurst and Orangethorpe and all the noise and stink you'd expect on a busy corner with two gas stations. There were some plants that looked desperate for water and care. There's a ton of Elite 5 star reviews from about a year ago that makes me think they offered them an event or free stuff for reviews. This place is also great to work; there are a lot of outlets! You can work, eat--basically stay here for hours. For parking, you may have to share with the other restaurants nearby, but overall, parking will not such an issue. I was about to give this place 5 stars because 1) this is one of the few places that has outdoor seating and WiFi 2) some of the employees people are super friendly. However, I went here today (I've been coming here 2-3 times per week over the last 4 weeks to do work), and one of the employees (whom I haven't seen before) asked me if I bought anything after I was asking about the power strip outside not working. I told her not yet because I was fasting and couldn't eat anything for 30 minutes, but I reassured her that I always buy something and I'm a frequent customer. 5 minutes later, another worker came outside and said if I don't buy something, he's gonna ask me to leave. I reiterated that I'm a frequent customer and I will buy something soon because I was fasting and couldn't eat. A few minutes later and two employees come out. At this point I'm feeling very harassed. I've spent so much money as a recurring patron and have had nice conversations with other employees, and yet I'm being forced to buy something or leave. I thought this place was about customer service, but apparently not all employees think so. I get that some of the people are just doing their job to "enforce policy" but have some flexibility, especially from a frequent patron who already explained twice why I didn't buy anything yet. Also note, whenever I buy something that is less than the minimum amount to get a Star reward ($3.75), I always tell them to charge me $0.25-$0.50 extra, so I can get the rewards. This is already ridiculous because almost all of their pastries don't meet the required amount. A few employees were nice enough to not charge me extra, but otherwise, up to this point, I was fine with paying the extra cost. I've been highly recommending this place to my friends but now I cannot confidently recommend anymore. I'm considering finding a new spot to frequent as this experience has really soured my experience here. 1 Star for this terrible experience of feeling harassed as a frequent customer, but 1 additional star for the WiFi and few nice employees there. read more

She apologized profusely and offered us a free pastry for the inconvenience when she returned. I really hate leaving a bad review but man my visit to intentional coffee was really disappointing. Service: I believe we got a total of three drinks and two food items and nothing came out at the same time. This is not usually an issue but when we went in to get the rest of the food, one of the employees responded "what do you want?". Our food was not even getting heated up and it was empty. They were not the friendliest, and not very welcoming. my friend let them know that she didn't like her drink and they do not offer solutions and tried to charge her $8 for another drink. I'm fine with paying for another drink. I don't really expect anything for free but I didn't wanna take any risks. Food/Drink: I had a bite of the croissant. It was OK. We didn't really eat our Panini at all as we were frustrated with the service and we just wanted to go home. I got the honey cold brew and it was sour and the milk was super watery. The vanilla latte was ok but I'm sure you can find better. Ambience: As soon as I walked in, there was a swarm of bugs right by the entrance. Sure the place is decorated cute, but everything was super dirty and there's no hiding that. I wanted to enjoy our food and drinks in the patio, but most of the seats had stains and trash by them so we opted for the chairs by the entrance. They were not great, but it was better than the bugs or the dirty seats. With the amount of coffee shops opening in orange county, I don't know if intentional coffee would be on my list for places to work or have a relaxing drink with friends and family. I think they can optimize in all three areas: food, service and ambience. I ended up going to another coffee shop after this to make up for what was lacking here. read more

Here on a Sunday morning to check out this coffee place in Fullerton. It's been more than a year since I've been back here. They have a lovely outdoor space for you to study and work on the laptops or just chill with friends. Inside seatings are available but rather limited. The outdoor patio is much nicer in my opinion. We tried the hazelnut latte with almond milk. It's pretty good. We took our dogs here. And the pups love their seatings outdoor. Def recommend you to bring your pups here and sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee. read more
