I hit 2 potholes in one night and was referred to Wheel Ding King by a friend. I dropped my wheel off with Lucas on Tuesday afternoon and he had it fixed 24 hours later. Since I have a 2-piece wheel with a polished lip the areas that got bent are noticeable up close but much harder to see from 10' away. Is it a perfect fix? No. Do I care? Not at all. These aren't show wheels so I was very happy at Lucas' work. I would highly recommend WDK and will be back when I inevitably hit more potholes from driving these east coast roads. read more

If you don't feel like reading just know that I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. I want to start by stating this is my first ever business review. There's never been a reason for me to have this reaction to a company's services. But I felt the need to express my disbelief and displeasure with the services that were rendered to my car (Tesla Model X). I brought my car to this particular shop because it was recommended by a friend of mine. The shop is located behind a gas station next to a dumpster. After speaking to the owner and stating the services I wanted completed (getting my rims gloss black and my calibers white to match my vehicle) and scheduling an appointment to drop off my vehicle he gave me a quote of $700 and said he can do the work. Perfect! Upon my arrival I was met by two staff members who were unaware of my arrival. Not a big deal, but foreshadows the rest of the services I received. The team added me and got to work. Upon arrival and pick-up I was in shock. The rims look like they were sprayed by an amateur and the quality is horrible. I returned back to pick my rim caps which they ALSO ruined and the final result was worse than the original job that they did. Horrified!! I walked out knowing that I am never going to be made whole again at this shop. I texted the owner about this shoddy work and his comment that he told the employee was regarding my caliber stickers not being added, and being told to charge me an additional hundred dollars!! What?! The owner did not respond which is just rude IMO. There are a few times in your life when you feel you were bamboozled and this is one of them for me. This company's has zero quality and their customer service is piss poor. Being a business owner myself and understanding the importance of customer service this experience has really ruined my trust and I feel disrespected. I had waited for months to do this as a treat to myself and finally moved forward with it. This will be my last time ever doing business with this company. I do not recommend their services. Here is why: When I went there where two young men greeted me. One of them was reprimanded by his colleague for failing to spot a cracked wheel (that should have been a red flag for me). I went there because there was a very minor amount of curb-rash (Maybe 2-4 inches nothing crazy). WhenI come back to pick up the car it looked fine in the sun. However, when I looked at the car (in the shade) it looks like other parts of the wheel had been sanded down leaving the bare metal exposed. That said, I went and got some gloss black enamel to pain the parts that they "missed" since I needed to fix this. That said, it looks like they to guys who lack experince, and training. Spending 150 bucks for one wheel and it looking that bad makes this look like a scam/stealer ship experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Service Requested: Not Met/Poor Quality: Poor / Unsatisfactory Value: Not worth the service/poor value to a customer. (better of buying a new wheel if 150 half the cost of the wheel/rim). read more

My five year old can do better work with a can of spray paint from Home Depot. I brought four wheels to get refinished. Sebastian Chavez, the owner, was on vacation. So were his workers. The fixed some curb rash but ignored other flaws and didn't fix them. They rushed the work and there were runs in the paint on every wheel. The craftsmanship was extremely poor. After multiple calls and emails to the owner, he finally responded after 5 or so days. I brought the wheels back and they repaired them. At that point the owner agreed to rebalance the wheels since two coats of paint will cause the wheels the vibrate. The team did not balance the wheels. I emailed with Sebastian and he said that they would rebalance the wheels while I wait. I went to the shop and the team refused to do the work. I called Sebastian multiple times. His team tried to call him multiple times. I texted him and emailed him. No response. The net result is that Wheel Ding King does poor quality work and does not communicate. The team needs a baby sitter to do good work and the owner Sebastian Chavez is completely absent and does not supervise them. Go to Eurobeat Wheels or any other wheel refinishing place in the area. I had a decent bit of curb rash on all 4 of my wheels. One of them had some "bubbling" and flaking. Someone on my car forums recommended I check these guys out after I complained about the high prices I was being quoted elsewhere. I decided that I wanted to completely refinish them rather than just repair the damaged areas. I also decided I wanted to go with a satin black finish to match the black optics on my white vehicle. I also inquired about having my calipers painted. Sent a facebook msg with some pics and they promptly replied back with a very competitive quote. I brought my vehicle in the following week (about a month ago) at 10:00am. Sebastian explained what they were going to do and told me that it would take several hours because it was a fairly big job. No problem. Walked down the street to Panera for some lunch and to get some work done. Wandered around a bit and ended up at Gilly's for a beer, which is conveniently right behind Wheel Ding King. At about 5:30 I got a text saying my vehicle was ready for me. I walked over and looked things over. Sebastian pointed out that there were a couple of things that they couldn't finish up, but to bring my ride back in with decals for the calipers and they'd finish things up. After I returned home, I noticed a few things, and texted back. Sebastian replied that it's no problem and they'd fix things up when I brought it back in. I was traveling for a couple of weeks, so I finally made it back in this Tuesday. When I dropped my vehicle off, I pointed out some scratches that had appeared, and expressed concern about the durability of the paint. He explained a few things that could of come into play, and said they'd get them fixed up. So off I went this time to Silver Diner for some breakfast and work. Once again ended up at Gilly's for a beer. Got a text at about 3:30 and the wheels and calipers looked fantastic! Top notch service. Very concerned with their reputation and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that their customers are satisfied. They warranty their work, and stand by it. Prior to coming here I had taken my car to three other places for a slow leak in my front tire. Nobody was able to find the leak. Spoke with Gary on site about my rim. He was very knowledgable and stated the rim lip had a dent. Now maybe because of desperation I paid the $140 to get it fixed? I'm just not sure how competitive that price was. This place came recommended by a friend. I noticed a slow leak in my front right tire and thought I had hit a nail. Only to discover that I had a small crack on the rim. Mercedes wanted to charge me $800 for repairs. Wheel Ding said they could fix the crack for a fraction of the price. Since I am getting new wheels anyway, I figured this would be a logical fix for the time being. I dropped it off Thursday afternoon and the repair was done by Friday evening as they send out their cracked rim repairs. So far the car rides good. They told me I had a 1 year warranty, so long as if the crack was to reappear at the same location. The service was great and I'm happy I don't have to wake up early every morning to pump my tire. I took the wheel to them. Its behind a BP gas station on a corner and very easy to find. They have convenient hours and are open on Saturday, too. They have several nice professional staff here. They took a look at it, gave me a price that was 75% lower than a new wheel, and told me that they would send it out and it would take 2 days. I got a call the next day and it was ready. They showed me the repair and I took it back to my shop and it was perfect. I would recommend this company, if you ever have any tire or wheel repair needs. BTW, they sell custom wheels, too. I am SO mad I didn't take note of all the bad reviews this place has. Save yourself and DON'T LET THESE GUYS TOUCH YOUR CAR!!! Run!! Pay more if you have to!!! The owner Sebastian is shady!! Why doesn't Yelp have a 0 stars option??? I found this place online and they were a little cheaper than a few other places I called for having my wheels painted. My husband was skeptical of their process from the start. They're painting your wheels, but you get your vehicle back within a 5 hour window. How is the paint cured properly??? Against my husband's better judgement, I decided to give them a try anyway. I paid $600 (by credit card, even though they wrote CASH on the receipt) to have my wheels painted. Dropped my car off at 8:45am on a Saturday, and I picked my car up at 2:45pm the same day, when they called & said it was ready. Five days after having my wheels painted, they looked like this!!! (see pictures) We contacted Sebastian (the owner)...and at first, before I got real close to my rims and realized just how bad they really were, we were prepared to accept a $300 refund. Not only was he super rude, and a total liar...he offered me a $200 refund and to fix the wheels. He also hung up on my husband, and told him not to call back. Umm...why would I let them touch my vehicle again?? I've already accepted the fact that I now have to go pay a different place close to $1,000 to start from scratch and do this properly. Most of the other places I've contacted keep your vehicle for at least 3 days to let the paint cure. Not these guys! Here you go, have your car back after 5 hours when we just painted your wheels! Oh! And the owner Sebastian also claimed (now that we want our money back), that 3 of my wheels had damage and they had to fix them! Umm...what? That was the first we heard of that. Not only did my wheels not have any damage (they're new) There was no mention of any damage when I dropped my vehicle off, and no mention of them fixing any damage when I picked my vehicle up. There's also no mention of any damage being fixed by them on my receipt!! So in the end, we're taking this guy to small claims court. The lesson here is...PAY ATTENTION TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Tons of businesses get their friends to leave good reviews so they can get more business!!! Sebastian gave me a quote of $300 to repair 2 front wheels that are bent and have curb rash and $100 to mount 4 tires. The amount quoted sounded good so I took my car in on Wednesday, September 27. I left the car and came back a couple hours later. To my surprise, the rear wheels were scratched up during tire install. I asked guy working on the car if he is planning to deliver the car to me like that. The guy said the scratches were already there and they weren't damaged by tire install. He also pointed out the the rear wheels were previously repaired. I told him they were fine that's why I'm only having fronts repaired. I then showed him how dirty the wheel is then pointed out how much cleaner the damaged area is. That's when he said he will fix them. If you choose to get your wheels repaired here, make sure you take photos you have a point of references. I also noticed that they don't clean the wheel barrels before painting. Any body shop will tell you that good preparation is the secret to a quality paint job. This place is lacking quality control in my book. They also won't own up if they damage your car. read more

I'm coming out of Yelp retirement for this business. They were responsive within 30 minutes of my initial request for estimate. I was given an appointment 2 days later and they finished my job well ahead of the 3 hours they predicted. I didn't have a hugely complicated job, but I only had my car for 2 months, so it was hugely irritating to rub against the curb and ruin my rim. This wasn't just a paint job; my rim was jagged to the touch. They are located in a walkable section of Rockville so there are plenty of places to kill time at if you choose to wait. They did straighten my Honda alloy wheel, but I would not recommend their service as the final product is not "as good as new" as Sebastian had claimed when I met him at the shop. In fact, I would have gone with the dealer wheel repair guy had I known what the final product would be. First, they did not paint over the repaired spot (since, they say, it's on the inside of the rim). Then, the young guy who did the repair did not balance the repaired wheel and flat out lied that he did when I asked him before picking up the car (no original wheel weights covered in brake dust were disturbed). When I came back a few weeks later to finally paint the spot another guy, who looked like employee there said that "they never take the tire off the wheel so no balancing is needed" which makes no sense at all. read more
