I was looking for a good battery for my truck and was amazed to find a place that sells only Interstate batteries.

I took 3 watches to get batteries changed. The person at counter quickly changed batteries for 2 watches but said that he can't change the battery of 3rd one as it needs specialized tool to open battery compartment. Giving 4 stars because the service was fast and cheap. Deducting 1 star because didn't have needed tool to finish the job. read more

I called to inquire if they sold my positive battery terminal and was reassured that they had a universal terminal that would work. Upon arrival the store was clean, fully stocked and the employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. To my surprise they had the exact terminal I needed for my vehicle and offered to install it for a reasonable fee. I appreciate the excellent customer service, knowledgeable and friendly employees. bought a car battery MTP 35 for 168 bucks from interstate battery in 2021 has a 30 month warranty on it,supposed to be a good battery. I've had nothing but issues with battery running down constantly I've been stranded everywhere from Hayward to Pleasanton to Tracy and back to Hayward again. I am middle-age lady retired from active duty military,bought the battery in good faith, believed that interstate would hold their end of the warranty; but I was wrong. You would be better off going to AutoZone or O'Reillys to buy your batteries. This is not the first battery I have purchased from this interstate business that went bad within a short period of time , I have taken my battery in twice, they charge it, to meet their expectations just so they don't have to replace battery trying to save that $168 which will cause them to lose good customers. then they send me on my way until the next two weeks. They're dragging it out till the 30 months is over so that they don't have to pay the 168 for the battery or give me another one.the battery charges up good enough to put it back on the car and then two weeks later I'm stranded again. I have taken car to shop put on meter had several mechanics look over the car tested do everything and they said nothing wrong with car or components -was told by the auto shop It was the battery.I have replaced the alternator(new, not some aftermarket)that didn't need to be replaced. The car is only got 80,000 miles. again, if you're planning to shop at interstate battery beware they do not honor their warranty they drag their feet and play games with you and the batteries ain't worth a crap go somewhere else! I went to get a battery for my car today, spent more than one hour and 35 minutes. The person who had the key for the rack to get the auto battery went for break and didn't come back. Asked one of the managers on site (lady from Philippines) she said directly to my face:"I'm at my break and can not talk" I kept looking for anyone who could help me to get the battery. There was one person (very polite, very nice and professional, I asked her for help.I had to purchase a tape measure to measure the size of the battery for my car. She helped me as much as she could and was trying to get hold of anyone to help me. Finally couple employees with uniform approached me and said sorry come tomorrow and we don't have the key. Miguel and his colleague were amazingly helpful even though they knew that this was just a warranty service and no business was forthcoming. Very professional, since they couldn't take my battery off as they had no replacement spare for the overnight charging, they went on to give me a charger with clear instructions on how to charge at night - now it works fine. Clearly saved me a couple of hundred bucks as two national brand name auto stores had it showing as "bad battery" and encouraged a replacement!! Awful service, DON'T GET YOUR WATCHES FIXED HERE!!! Had my watch battery replaced, it was dead the next day! I'd had this watch for 10+ years. It's been to Hawaii snorkeling 3x without an issue. Got the battery replaced b4 my latest trip and after a couple hours in the water (where I've NEVER had a problem) it filled with water. Upon inspection of how and why, I find that the kid who replaced the battery DIDN'T PUT THE DAMN BACKING ON CORRECTLY! Are you kidding me, day 1 of my 10 day trip and my watch is fried! So upon my return, I took it back to interstate, asked for the manager to show him the problem. I didn't ask for my money back because I couldn't find the receipt for the $9 I payed, but the manager just kept smiling.....no lemme give you your money back, no I'm sorry, nothing! Just kept smiling.... Told him to keep the watch as a "what not to do" and train his employees better!!! CAUTION!!!!!! read more

I thought I'd try this place. Been needing a battery for weeks. Been recharging an old Walmart battery. So stopped in was kindly greeted. Looked up my car found a battery and brought it out. They asked me if they could install it and quoted me they're price to install it. I volunteered to put it in myself. Problem: no tools. I visited this store for the first time today, looking for a way to set up an inverter to take to Standing Rock in North Dakota. Except for the solar cell I needed, I received wonderful help, or perhaps I should say WONDERFUL! help, and I was even shown where to obtain the solar kit and how much it would cost me... We had the most wonderful experience at Interstate All Battery Center in Hayward this morning. It began yesterday when we called to see if they could install two batteries in our Sprinter van. Miquel was warm and personable on the phone, so we arranged to come to the store the following day. We were greeted by Balley, who was also friendly and welcoming and then we met the owner, Sassan. They all followed Covid regulations and kept a respectful distance. Sassan did the installation and we were so impressed with his meticulousness and sage advice regarding general maintenance to prolong the wear on our batteries. Miquel exhibited that same friendly and outgoing persona with us and other customers who came into the store for replacement batteries for their watches. They are fair; nothing to write home about. After reading all of the reviews I thought it would be worth the extra money to purchase a new battery and get professional service with a smile.
