I've had this place bookmarked for a while and am so glad I was able to try it out! There's no…read moredesignated parking lot but plenty of street parking nearby. There was a wait for us despite coming on a weekday morning, so I can't imagine how long the line gets on the weekends. The bakery is so cute inside and everything is displayed so aesthetically! I wanted to buy them all but we ended up getting the sundried tomato, butter croissant, scallion gochujang, and ube croffle. All of them were so fresh and perfectly crispy. The sun dried tomato one had cheese too and is definitely a great savory option. The gochujang one wasn't as spicy as I expected and was more on the sweeter side, but the scallion flavor was strong and delicious! My favorite was definitely the ube croffle, which was filled with a rich and creamy ube custard. It wasn't overly sweet and was soo good! There were a few things I wanted to try but didn't get a chance to yet, like their blue corn sourdough loaf and their cinnamon roll so I'll definitely be back for more!

The ambiance is that of a really good bakery, with a line out the door and loud conversation. Finally the baked goods were all pretty good to delicious. We came here to try a thing or two, see what the fuss is about and left spending about $90. Everything looked and sounded amazing. That's the most I've ever spent at a bakery in one visit but it did not disappoint. Everything we tried here was delicious. My favorite was the croissant cinnamon roll, which I had with coffee to cut the sweetness of it. I do have one complaint, I can't stand salt on my sweets, call me old fashioned but I like my foods segregated, keep the salt off my chocolate chip cookie because the cookie itself was amazing but the salt kept messing it up. My kid had a chocolate croissant, which had a dark chocolate tasting center. No complaints from him until he tried the cinnamon roll which he said he did not like due to the frosting. I on the other hand will come back here just for the cinnamon roll. We also got a loaf of sourdough, which we devoured in 2 days with some butter. Even the blue corn muffins and corn cookie were good, which I really didn't think I'd like. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

We have made pit stops at this OG branch of Cream Pan in Tustin over the years. The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

Santa Ana downtown is all metered street parking so be prepared to pay for parking. The stand is located right in front of the market so it isn't too hard to find. It's in the market so there's open seating and can get quite loud if there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, I was greeted very poorly when I got here. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.

Their claim to fame, the strawberry croissants, taste as spectacular, light, crispy, airy, and deliciously subtle and fruity as much as the original location. The main problem is they definitely seem to have way less stock on hand, and things can sell out fast. I had to come back another day for my favorite item of theirs, the rusk - extremely light and crunchy bites of buttery sugared mini toast. I buy a bunch of these to take home as souvenirs, as the strawberry croissants obviously need to be eaten ASAP. Their employees were pretty friendly and helpful. I love that they carry bulk platters of their strawberry croissant and have them displayed right as you enter. They also have various other desserts and pastries, even some savory sandwiches and sushi, packaged goods, and coffee. I'm here pretty much just for their strawberry croissants and rusk, though their other items seem nice if you want goods for a convenient picnic.
