Ioli's is our go-to spot for pizza in the valley--my boyfriend always mentions it first when the craving hits! The Thai chicken pizza is unbeatable. Even when I'm not in the mood for pizza, their Alfredo (no chicken for me) is always a satisfying option. The portions are generous, the food is consistently great, and it's never too busy. A solid local gem!

Olive sausage pizza, lacking in toppings

Where's the toppings? Medium pizza with 3 little pieces of sausage on each slice. You couldn't even cover the pizza with olives? Really? So so, this place used to be really good.

I love the pizza from this place. The dough is always cooked just right, and the flavors are bold without being overpowering. Each slice is packed with flavor, making it hard to stop at just one. This is definitely a must-visit spot for pizza lovers

Calzone

HUGE & great pizza!! Iolis' Pizzeria has been one of my family's favorite spot to eat in the past decade. Overall, they have consistently offered great service, and been very friendly. The pizza is my favorite part. The crunch to the crust is just perfect, and is topped off with rich tomato sauce and delicious toppings. They offer a variety of pizza combinations, and other items on their menu. On this occasion, my family came out to eat dinner, and I decided to order a calzone. The only reason I am rating it a 4/5, is because I found out that there was too much tomato sauce in my calzone compared to other filling ratio. I found just a few pepperonis along with other veggies inside my calzone. Perhaps maybe next time, I will skip the calzone, and go straight to ordering a big slice of their traditional pepperoni pizza, or Hawaiian. You could never go wrong with those two options. They also offer seating inside and outside, which is great if you want to have a sit down meal. The environment is definitely on the casual side, and can sometimes get loud, as you may find other families dining there as well.

Margherita pizza

Their pizza is delicious!! We were staying at Carmel valley ranch and this was so convenient and SO good. We went here twice and got the margherita pizza. Their sizes are larger than other pizza spots I've been to which is another plus!

Leo and Arian were great..Great price! Good pizza. Love this lunch. Listening to Luke Bryan, too!

Leo and Arian are wonderful.. Good pizza..Can't find this value very many places. Luke Bryan playing ! Love this place. Good friends.

This is the whole pie before I devoured it.

It's been a while since we have been here being from Modesto. The Pizza is perfectly done and NOT greasy. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. We will make it a go to. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and Pizza. It's a small place but very friendly.

Garlic cheese bread

Delicious pizza! Love the thin crust, the atmosphere, literally a hidden gem in the beautiful Carmel area. We got the pepperoni thin crust pizza with jalapeños and it was amazing. The sauce is robust, flavorful with a hint of spice which I love. Will be back!

The BBQ pizza, fresh out of the oven, is quite delicious. A great tip to be ultra healthy, order yourself a greek salad too and you won't eat as much pizza :P

Tacos on Wednesdays? Seems like a missed opportunity here...

This is THE pizza joint of Carmel Valley as we saw a multitude of folks swinging by to grab their pie. It sits in the Safeway shopping center near the laundromat. Great place to kill some time while doing a load! There is a Tv on inside with the game playing if you want to have your beer at the bar while you're waiting for food During COVID you can't eat inside but there was ample outdoor seating on walkway amidst flowers. The crew inside was quite friendly and helpful in making our selection. Here's our review of the food: Iced tea - 8/10 Very light on the tea flavor but has a nice tropical flavor. Free refills means I will be taking a few of these down! Bruschetta - 10/10 Beautiful light crunch on the bread with a LOAD of garlic amongst the tomatoes. It had the best balance of olive oil, salt, tomato and Parmesan over the fresh bread. So tasty!!! New York New York Pizza - 8/10 Thin crust with a sweet tomato heavy pizza sauce. There was a great variety of meats with different flavor profiles that made each bite unique. I prefer a bit more zest to my sauce and the cheese could have been more memorable but this was a tasty pie no doubt. All said and done, don't hesitate to grab a pizza from here as it represents Carmel Valley well. Good ingredients, great ambiance, and a menu to please all makes this a great stop. I think I have to come back on Fridto see what that French Dip is all about!

Great for kids. We got a gigantic pizza and spaghetti with meatballs and the kids ate it up. We ate it up too but such a win to be able to just eat. Super delicious.

Excellent service and delish pizza, best in area! If it is nice out, sit outside and enjoy the beauty of Carmel Valley.

My friend and I made a dinner reservation a couple weeks in advance, and it wasn't too crowded on Mother's Day weekend! Rucolina ($18): Salad to share, perfect amount for 2. Arugula, beets, Gorgonzola, candied walnuts are a classic combo and we polished it. Linguine Alla Pescatora ($45): I thought it was so funny two girls next to us ordered this to share, but my friend ate it all by herself LOL. A huge dish of seafood, they don't skimp! I tried a mussel and the sauce was excellent. Gnocchi (small $22, large $44): I was hesitant about ordering gnocchi because I never like the gnocchi I've ordered at other Italian restaurants. Never thought me a gnocchi snob, but here I am. But other reviews raved about Il Tegamino's gnocchi (our waitress included) so I did it. Ok fine it's the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft, straight out of the oven, still sizzling and bubbling when it was placed in front of me. It was cheesy and potatoey without either flavor overpowering the other, and the mushroom truffle sauce is IT. It needs the sauce. I ordered the large and had leftovers to share with my mom, but you bet I could've finished it. I would come back just for this! We picked this place expecting it to be a treat and a bit of a splurge, so we expected the prices. Our server was lovely; my friend loves sweeter white wines but a Moscato wasn't on the menu. She disappeared into the kitchen and came back out with a heavy pour of Moscato and my friend loved it! I first thought it was bold of her to assume she'd want the full glass but she was right :)

We had a reservation and called ahead to ask if we could arrive earlier since we finished at the aquarium sooner than expected. We completely understood if the answer was no, but we were already in the area and if the answer was no, we could've totally kept busy until our actual reservation time, no big deal. The hostess, Paula, responded rudely, saying, "I can't do this right now," before handing the phone to another staff member, who kindly told us it would be fine. When we arrived, Paula simply pointed at our table and said, "There's your table," then looked down and ignored us. I wasn't even sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves until another staff member noticed and kindly escorted us to our table. The restaurant was empty when we arrived as well. At one point, we walked past Paula to get to the restroom and she slightly scoffed, looking at us with contempt. At first, I thought maybe I was overthinking it, however, throughout the evening, we noticed Paula and another staff member enthusiastically greeting and checking on every nearby table except ours. We were the largest party in the restaurant, celebrating a bride-to-be who was even wearing a veil, yet no one acknowledged the occasion. We felt so un-welcomed and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Our server was wonderful, unfortunately, the food was mediocre, nothing special, especially for the price. Overall, the poor hospitality overshadowed the entire experience. I hope management takes the recurring 1- and 2-star reviews seriously and works to improve the atmosphere because this was a very disappointing experience.

Bonus: they are dog friendly! When we arrived we were able to find street parking right away (there is lots of street parking in the area). We were greeted by a very warm and friendly hostess. Our waitress was equally as amazing very attentive to us, refilling our drinks when needed (including the dog's water bowl) and checking in with us. The food was so yummy and delicious. We got the garlic bread to start and it was so light and airy. I was worried the bread was going to be heave and dense and that I would get full from it, but it was the opposite. The garlic and cheese added so much flavor to the bread. My husband got the Fangool pizza which he said was absolutely delicious and finished the whole thing. I got the cheese ravioli and it was also delicious, the cheese in the ravioli was so good and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It is a very cute place to eat and we actually enjoyed sitting in the patio with the cute decor it made you feel like you were eating in Italy. For Father's Day, I decided to take my husband for the 1st time for Father's Day. I asked for a spicy margarita and the waiter said, "The kitchen has not peppers." I asked, "If instead of the sides that come with my steak, could I just get a naked simple salad... just a bunch of leaves?" He said, "They do not do substitutions." I told him that they've done it before. I told him I was just there last November. I asked the waitress. She said she'd ask the chef. When she came back, she said it's one of their normal salads that are premade and if that was ok. I said, "yes. Thank you." There was no charge. The waitress made me feel like she wanted to help and actually did. Our waiter last night said that if I want a salad, I'd have to order salad for the regular salad price. Then, he said they found peppers in the kitchen and could make my margarita spicy. Admittedly, initially, I was shocked the kitchen didn't have any peppers, a Michelin Guide restaurant. This waiter was terrible and acted like he did not want to help. I ordered brocollini instead bc it was cheaper than having to order an additional salad. The waiter apologized and asked if I read the no substitution rule on the menu... Really? The waiter said we have never done substitutions before. This surprised me bc they did for me last November.
