    Fried green tomato kitchen special
    Andrea A.

Being from the South, I'm so happy that Irregardless exists here in Providence! I got the kitchen special: fried green tomato (literally my favorite southern food), smoked tomato aioli, house pickles, and arugula. Pillowy biscuit, crispy & juicy tomato, creamy aioli, and refreshing pickles & arugula = perfect sandwich. There's a good amount of street parking nearby. Service is super friendly and relatively fast, there were so many people there. Ambiance is casual, but there's not that much seating. 10/10 would recommend.

Irregardless was a pleasant surprise. I found them on Yelp and decided to try them out based on the raving reviews. I was nervous that there would be a wait, but thankfully, there was no wait at all. They also have a few parking spaces in the parking lot. I went on a Thursday morning. The restaurant has a few tables and chairs, but it seemed like more of a takeout place. I ordered the fried chicken and hot honey biscuit and an iced Nola cold brew. Everything was made to order. My biscuit was soft and pillowy, the fried chicken was fried to perfection, and the cold brew was enjoyable. For the portion size, I thought the price was reasonable. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out! You won't regret it! Looking forward to visiting them again!

Popped over to irregardless to try this grab and go spot out. They do have a few small tables inside, it's very cozy. You order, give a name and honestly they run like a well oiled machine and have an amazing system so you wait maybe 10 mins for your order. Everyone inside working was happy and friendly!! I will be back for more biscuits!!

Came here for breakfast at 8am. Small line appeared at 8:01 but nothing too crazy, we didn't need to show up the second they opened. Ambiance was cozy. Ordered the NOLA Cold Brew, 1) Howard's Biscuit, Extra Thick Maple & Pepper Glazed Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Our absolute favorite. Would highly recommend. Very delicious and would probably order again when in the area 2) Maple Fennel Chicken Sausage. Egg, & Cheese This was okay not as flavorful as the bacon but you could definitely taste the fennel. 3) Strawberry Butter Very very good when eaten warm. Perfect sweet snack or dessert Nola cold brew was decent. Came with chickory syrup and milk already inside. Not bad Overall, this is a very solid breakfast place and would definitely try again. Place is very tight and only has 3-4 tables

standout breakfast biscuits in providence! the service is pretty quick, and as the place is pretty small, most people just grab and go. i got the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and the biscuit was fluffy and warm, but the most standout ingredient was the sausage. it was juicy and delicious, unlike any sausage i've had before. if you eat there, there is housemade hot honey and hot sauce, both of which are great additions to the sandwiches.

I came back to Irregardless Biscuit after a long time since my first time on a Sunday around 2:30pm. Thankfully, they haven't sold out of items. I ordered the green tomato biscuit and added hash brown. The biscuit had a fried green tomato, smoked tomato aioli, house pickles, and arugula. It was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed it so much. Every bite was heavenly, crispy and juicy, and packed with flavor. My husband got the pork roll with cooper sharp cheese and housemates sauce. He enjoyed his biscuit as well. The biscuit was soft and fresh. Even though the staff had a long day of servicing customers, they were still very friendly and welcoming.

Cutie little spot with a short and simple menu, but everything is delicious. They have sweet or savory options, and everything is centered around their fantastic biscuits. Tiny shop, always has a line but everyone is kind and friendly and the service is fast. The kitchen staff is so impressive and the owner always greets everyone like they're a regular. Only a few seating options but that's really my only complaint. I love that they are so dog friendly, I always meet cute pup visitors when we get breakfast here. Great food, great vibes, great staff. Also!! Try one of their special cookies!!! So good

Absolutely fantastic. It's a small place, with just a few tables inside to sit at but it's well worth a stop in to get some of these amazing biscuits. We walked in for lunch and there was a long line and quite a few people waiting to get their meals. Thankfully only one of the tables was being occupied so we were able to sit and eat in the restaurant. I ordered the BAT and an iced coffee. They have simple syrup and milk and oat milk available. The iced coffee was good but I forgot I can't have coffee without my heart feeling like it's going to explode so I gave it to my husband and ordered a chicory (NOLA) one. It already comes sweetened and with milk and it was super tasty. The bat was extremely delicious with perfectly cooked thick cut bacon and a deliciously salted heirloom or hothouse tomato. The biscuit itself was soft but also crunchy with a pillowy interior. Just the perfect biscuit. My husbands chicken one was super good as well. He liked his hot coffee but gave it up for my cold one. The people working here were super friendly and efficient. I wish I could come eat here once a week.

Irregardless has an incredible amount of hype when it first opened, and at the time, perhaps they were not prepared for the volume of customers, but sometimes the quality of their breakfast sandwiches were inconsistent. Now, with a steady stream of customers rather than a massive rush, Irregardless has improved their menu, and streamlined their process. The biscuit sandwiches can speak for themselves but what I think may be a hidden gem is their iced coffee with chicory. It's served with a tiny cookie, and it's always a pleasure to have a milky coffee with another sweet treat. The shop is very small but if you're willing to hover for a little bit, seats open up as most people do not dwell more than 15-20min. Parking can be tight so be warned about that!

This place has been recommended to me so many times so I'm glad I finally made my way there. It's super tiny so I would not recommend trying to sit inside while you eat. There is parking across the street, but the lot is a very small and narrow. Now to the important part.... The food. I feel like this place is hyped up. The biscuit was good, the eggs are made fried hard so it is pretty firm. The cheese on my sandwich felt like your typical store-bought processed cheese which distracted from the overall experience of the meal. The biscuit was nice and fluffy, but also very soft so it was pretty hard to eat with my hands. I ordered hashbrowns and was shocked to see that they were seasoned. Nowhere is it mentioned on the menu or when you go to purchase that they are seasoned so it threw me off. It was also extremely unevenly seasoned so I assume they put the seasoning directly into the bag that held the hashbrowns which prevented all sides from being properly seasoned. I think it's overpriced for the quality of what you get but it's a cute idea that not many other locations provide. It's worth trying once but I'm not sure I'd go back.

These biscuits are so delicious! I think that it's pretty easy for biscuits to be dry or hard, but the biscuits here seemed so fresh and fluffy! I got the howard's and my boyfriend got the hot honey chicken. They both had a lot of honey but were yummy and flavorful. I really enjoyed the thick cut bacon, which I haven't had before! The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. We also got the hash browns, which were also crispy and a perfect addition. They unfortunately didn't have the cheese sauce, so I definitely want to try that next!

Kitchen special - fried chicken, cheese, homemade pickles and arugula

Irregardless is a small, quaint kitchen serving up dank biscuit sandwiches. Parking isn't great and the space inside is limited, but the service is quick and ordering is easy. I've been here a few times now since I live in the area and will keep coming back even if it's a little pricey. Pro tip: there is a row of parking in the lot across the street for biscuit customers!

Driven by heavy social media presence on Instagram, this shop proved to be a classic example of a cute concept that fails on execution. The shop features a modern, clean aesthetic but suffers from highly inefficient operations. The layout makes it unclear where the ordering line actually begins, and the printed menus do not match the menus displayed on the wall. This forced a rushed ordering process, leading me to order a standard Strawberry Matcha. While the drink's presentation was pretty, the flavor was only average and did not justify the steep, overpriced cost--especially for an establishment located in a prominent college area. Color was on point but flavor was very milky and slightly tart. I don't say this often, but it needed sugar. Service was interesting. Drinks are served filled to the brim without lids. You retrieve the lids yourself in a separate counter area. This design flaw was highlighted when a nearby couple spilled their entire order onto the floor simply while walking over to get a cap. Rather than stepping in immediately to help clean up the mess and offer new drinks, the staff stood and stared at this couple for longer than they should have before offering assistance. Also, I would've liked a teddy bear too but didn't see it on the menu so I didn't order it. Between the high prices, lackluster service, and operational confusion, the overall experience does not warrant a return visit. Go get a sugarcane drink around the corner instead!

First, the young woman who took care of us seemed to keep 'checking out', as in, she seemed to temporarily fall asleep with her eyes open. She would become non-responsive and we'd just wait for her to acknowledge us and then repeat what we said. So that's weird. Even after she said 'OK' and went over to the register to ring it all in, we had to repeat the order, again. The Americano coffee was not made correctly. It literally tasted like dirty water. Definitely did not use the appropriate amount of espresso in this drink. The Mocha was not blended correctly and was grainy with a lot of sediment at the bottom of the cup. I was unable to finish drinking that. The friends we met up with mentioned they are surprised how many tables were open on a Saturday. In the past there was 'always a line' of people ordering and waiting for a table. During our visit there were several empty tables. The pastry were very tasty though, so that was nice. They do have a nice selection of pastry available and we might try some more of those offerings another time. The ambiance is very cute. Bus your own tables. On street parking.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.
