First, the young woman who took care of us seemed to keep 'checking out', as in, she seemed to temporarily fall asleep with her eyes open. She would become non-responsive and we'd just wait for her to acknowledge us and then repeat what we said. So that's weird. Even after she said 'OK' and went over to the register to ring it all in, we had to repeat the order, again. The Americano coffee was not made correctly. It literally tasted like dirty water. Definitely did not use the appropriate amount of espresso in this drink. The Mocha was not blended correctly and was grainy with a lot of sediment at the bottom of the cup. I was unable to finish drinking that. The friends we met up with mentioned they are surprised how many tables were open on a Saturday. In the past there was 'always a line' of people ordering and waiting for a table. During our visit there were several empty tables. The pastry were very tasty though, so that was nice. Sushi, snacks, ice cream, drinks, lunch, candy, produce, frozen foods, I could go on and on, but you just have to go to experience it yourself! We hadn't been back here in probably a year and I won't make that mistake again. The standout item that I tried this time was the mango ice cream in the shape of a mango. OMG! It was so creamy and delicious. I wish I had a second. I had seen it virally on Instagram in the last few weeks and I would say it 100% lived up to the hype. Go!

They have a nice selection of all types of Japanese food, including refrigerated, frozen, and shelf staples. Lots of candy and snacks too, as well as toiletry items. We were there towards the end of the day, so must of the sushi was sold out, but the items remaining in the refrigerated case looked fresh and delicious. Prices were fair for all of the items we looked at, and felt lower to us than other similar markets we've visited. Although I think that the Asian Market off of Elmwood might have lower prices on some items. In addition to the market, there is also a counter where you can order hot foods to eat there or take to go. There is a nice seating area with chairs & tables, and there is also a counter with chairs next to the window. We'll be back earlier in the day next time to see the full selection of sushi.

Super flaky and a lot of delicious flavor from the filling and garnishes. It was very busy when I stopped by midday. They were out of some items already (I missed out on trying the French onion croissant before they replaced it with another menu item). I did find a spot to sit outside but I can see it being even harder to find a seat during peak times. It's a bit off the beaten path yet it's known and popular for a reason. There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.

Just don't get a dessert style coffee like a chocolate strawberry frappe like I said after ordering a bowl and a Dubai crepe. That dessert coffee was overkill.
