Irwin's is a very cute, cozy coffee shop nestled in a Seattle neighborhood. A lot of people working and chatting here. It offers a variety of seating from bar stools and tables to couches. We only tried their mocha and latte, but they also serve breakfast and lunch food. The coffees are great. The latte leans a bit more to the bitter side. Overall, we really like the place and can't wait to come back to try their food!

Latte with almond milk, everything bagel with vegan cream cheese, and a vegan blackberry bar of some kind

We stayed in the neighborhood while visiting Seattle and I was so happy to find this gem of a cafe. My latte was delicious (and I'm picky), they had vegan cream cheese for my bagel (thank you!!!) and I devoured an insanely good blackberry bar that was also vegan-friendly! The staff were nice and the vibes were cozy. I would definitely come back.

This is a really cute and cozy cafe with comfortable seating and great local art on the walls! We stopped by for a little treat and ended up getting a cinnamon roll, Marionberry pie, and the soup of the day with garlic bread. The service was great and the cinnamon roll was one of my favorites that I've ever had! You definitely have to have it warmed up. Loved the pie and it took me right back to the Oregon coast! The soup was decent and I was happy to hear that their soups of the day are always vegan. The garlic bread that came with it was great and VERY garlicky. I loved it but my breath smelled for a while after that! I definitely want to come back sometime and get some work done here. It seems like a popular study place for UW students and just a popular neighborhood cafe.

Pretty tasty "Eggel" sandwich! The bagel and cheese were perfectly cooked. The chai was tasty and cozy. There were barely any seats around 1pm so it was tough to find a spot. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would go back but perhaps at a less busy time.

**vegetarian review** I like Irwin. It's a beauty cosy neighbourhood cafe. I like their outdoor seating space. There is a lot of food options - and many vegetarian friendly ones too. It's kinda pricey however - so I don't frequent it that much for example $6.5 for scone or $17 for chipotle sandwich

Amazing scone and coffee. Love that it's in a neighborhood! Very friendly and inclusive. Decent prices as well.

Gigantic chocolate chip cookie, so chewy and buttery!

What a gem! Because of the stupid way Seattle zoning works, it is very unusual to have a cafe on a residential street here, so Irwin's is really special. Homey and unpretentious vibes. Giant chocolate chip cookies, muffins and cinnamon rolls. I even love their house salad which comes with a chunk of focaccia and a generous sprinkling of cheese and nuts (so often when you order a salad you just get a sad plate of lettuce). Service is impressively fast for such a busy little place! It could be a little cleaner, but I will take a slightly sticky table over the bland sterility of a lot of Seattle cafes these days. There is limited outdoor seating and we had no trouble finding street parking nearby on a sunny Saturday. Perfect place to stop on the way to nearby Gas Works Park. Edited to add: I notice a lot of the bad reviews of this place are related to price. No it's not cheap but hi, don't know if you noticed, but Seattle is bonkers expensive and so is most every restaurant in town--it's very unfair to penalize Irwin's for charging on par with almost everywhere else.

Coffee is great!!! It's a good quiet coffee shop. Most people were working. The place is not super clean though.

5 stars for their chocolate chip cookie!! It's my favorite in Seattle even more than met market :p We've also tried their scones, pies, carrot cake etc which are satisfying but not anything to go out of your way for.

I'm visiting Seattle and needed a quick fix me up coffee and we asked the barista what a good sweet coffee would be so she recommended that we try a latte with their cardamom syrup. Best recommendation because this was so good! They make their syrups house made so this a must try! Also she was super nice and helpful. Really recommend this cute & cozy neighborhood cafe!

Really cute neighborhood coffee shop! The vibe here is cozy and fun. I got an egg and cheese bagel sandwich with bacon. This really hit the spot for a breakfast bagel sandwich! However, I did feel like it was a bit too expensive for what it was. I also got a coffee and liked it, but again felt like it was a bit pricy. Overall had a good experience here!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The cutest little cafe spot. I got the pumpkin muffin and it was so incredible.

Coffee's great, the place is warm and humble, very consistent. Their quiche's are wonderful but price for them isn't.

This place is simple and mainly serves to provide convenience so that you don't have to venture to the cafeteria on the 1st floor... or worse yet, the vending machines. This place also stays open much much later (4:00 am, every day) than the the cafeteria and the gift shop (which also sells some snacks and coffee)--- see the pic I posted for the updated hours since what was originally reported was way off. Due to that convenience, it also tends to have a line during the morning and early afternoon hours, and every time I've walked by. There is no seating area since it's a small shop but the UWMC has tables and chairs outside; just past the Cascade elevators. Today I stopped by at around 5:00 pm and luckily there was only one person in front of me. I bought a Smokey Chicken Bacon Melt (pre-packaged). It was very tasty and probably would've been even better if I toasted it, or at least heated it up. But I was too lazy. Although it was delicious, the size was certainly not worth about $7.50 (includes tax). Probably would only stop by here again if I actually want a coffee or don't have the time to go to the cafeteria for food.

But honestly? The energy worked. The staff was moving with that calm, unbothered flow only seasoned baristas have. Friendly, attentive, and somehow keeping the line moving without making anyone feel rushed. Respect. Light was flooding every corner; that soft Seattle glow that makes you want to pull out your journal and pretend you live inside a cozy indie film. Ventilation was perfect. Temperature was perfect. Seating options? Abundant. And not the awkward wobbly kind either. This spot is built for lingering. I grabbed a latte, sat down, and immediately fell into an art journaling trance. There's something about being surrounded by curated shelves of books and cute little treasures that just unlocks your brain. It's the kind of place where you look up after ten minutes and somehow an hour passed. This was my first visit, but it's already on my list of "places I'll actually come back to and get work done."
