The restaurant was bright, modern, and roomy. The service was friendly, and quick. Once we placed our order, all of the food came out within 10 minutes, which is pretty quick for a sit down restaurant. Overall, the food and experience was great! I'd recommend trying it out, and we will certainly be back! Not to mention, the prices are great. We ordered the following: * Isarn Pork Sausage - Pretty tasty! It had a small amount of spice, and a medium smoky flavor. Honestly, this would have been great in fried rice, but was still good on its own. * Everything Papaya Salad - The papaya was thinly sliced, and juicy with the sauces of the dish. Additionally, it was not very fishy (which is what I like, but it's not super traditional). We got level 3 spicy, and you could feel the kick after one bite. Lot of flavor overall! * Hat Yai Fried Chicken - Lightly fried (not deep fried). The chicken was juicy with crispy, not greasy skin. It was cooked very well! It doesn't have that much spices on it, but the chicken tasted very good. * Chiang Mai Curry Noodle - Best we've had so far! It's been bland at other places, but here very flavorful. The noodles were cooked well, slightly spicy, and quite a big portion! * Thai Iced Milk Tea - The drink was one of the better ones I've had, it had a stronger tea taste, a tad bit of sweetness, and a normal amount of milk. Other places it's like I'm drinking half and half or taste nothing but syrup, but this is light! * Sweet Young Coconut Cream - Amazing! They serve it in a coconut, with Tapioca Balls, and the coconut meat. I recommend trying the poached egg, it adds a salty layer. If you like coconut, you should try it! All of what we got above was only $75 (not including tax nor tip)! For the quality and amount of the food, service, and the setting, this was a great deal! Every single thing I've tried from here has been absolutely phenomenal!!!! The happy hour is also great! And the prices are excellent, especially for the portion size! The seafood tropical curry was life changing as was the seafood curry custard. I was having an out of body experience with each bite. The mango and sticky rice martini was also so fantastic and tasted EXACTLY like the desert! The happy hour wings were sooo good! We didnt try the lemon grass ones...it was the other flavor; I forget what it was called. The squid and lemon soup was life changing! I got 2 stars and it was spicy! In the best way. The flavor was soooo good, I highly recommend. The mussel omelette is only on the happy hour menu and that was also surprisingly delicious! The crisp/crunch factor was perfect!! Not bad, but still working out the timing for dishes. Our server was very kind and friendly, but didn't check on us much and service was quite slow. We ordered drinks, appetizer and 2 main dishes to share, requesting that the appetizer come first as a separate course. The drinks came out and then almost immediately after, we got one of the main dishes. 5 minutes later the appetizer and other main arrived at the same time. Firecracker shrimp were OK, we were expecting some spice or a unique dipping sauce, but it was your typical sweet sauce (not spicy). Fried chicken was juicy and delicious, but it came with the same sweet sauce as the shrimp. Sticky rice came served in a plastic bag, maybe that is traditional? Chiang Mai noodles were fantastic, super flavorful and delicious! A bit messy to share, but would definitely order again. We'll return to try this place again. read more

I loved this place! They have a vegan menu that has many delicious choices. I had the mushroom fritters, the stir fried mixed vegetables and the garlic rice, all vegan choices. Used to be my favorite Thai place until this week. The manager is extremely condescending and rude, I felt extremely unwell after eating a salad here (I never get sick, I'm guessing the lettuce was not handled correctly), I also ordered a drink that was made incorrectly. The food has no flavor either which isn't what I expect here. I don't know what's going on but this place is going downhill before my eyes. I had the worst customer service of my life here. I entered the restaurant and asked the hostess a question-what followed was the WORST lash out behavior I have experienced. I was shocked at her behavior and ended up in tears. My friend was meeting up with me and came after the fact, and we sat down at the table, hoping to salvage our hang. Right away, the manager approached our table. We didn't know she was the manager at first, but she was very aggressive with me, and attacked me without even asking what had happened. I was so shocked, I couldn't even speak. My friend had to step in and tell her she was being extremely inappropriate and that we were going to leave. She then walked away from the table. I've experienced my fair share of poor customer service, but this was another level. It felt personal. I understand we all may have our bad days, but it is unacceptable to lash out at a customer. And the worst part of all this was that the manager, who is supposed to be the person who helps to resolve the issue, was even more inappropriate than the original offender. It's a shame because this was a restaurant I frequented and loved. To be attacked by not only one, but two employees on the same evening, is something that I am still trying to get over. I was shook and still am, a few days later. I hope that the hiring selection will be a little more thought out and selective in the future. read more

He brought it back in new bag and when I asked him, he denied the curry container had opened - I pointed out there was curry splashed on top of container and on the floor. He said they would make me a new batch - when I picked it up again I'm 95% sure they didn't give me a new batch - container looked the same and only 3/4 full. The only thing I did not like is that I don't like tofu, so I specifically asked for chicken in place of the tofu, but somehow ended up with both in my pad Thai. I found the Queen Anne location food quality and service a tad better than the one on Kirkland water front. Similar menus and equally challenging street parking/. I have to agree with some posts here, everything was just fine. I had been waiting to try Isran and I wanted to branch out. Unfortunately I didn't care for what I got I got the papaya salad (which was drenched in sauce) and herbal soup (which was so earthy it was unenjoyable). Bad service, bad food, meh place. The staff rushed us through the meal, and the food was not good. Lamb and potatoes in the massaman curry were undercooked and hard, don't bother with it. Servers were just bad, they couldn't recommend anything on the menu (they just said everything is great, hurry up and order) and the drinks server was rude attitude (I suppose you want a drink, fine, what do u want). Staff seems more interested in fulfilling to go orders than serving people dining there. Food is usually disappointing here but have dined at the Kirkland location where the food is just fine. Wow. Best Thai food I've had in Seattle, and I've tried all the places. This might be the first time in history that a restaurant started in the suburbs (Kirkland) and successfully opened a second location in the heart of the city. Came around 4:45 pm on a Friday and was surprised to find it was happy hour until 7. The happy hour menu is chocked with great items, I would recommend the lychee cocktails if you like that fruit flavor. All the food was excellent, the pork larb and lemongrass wings stood out. We loved our dinner here! Great for families as we brought our 3 year old and 6 month old, and they gave us a table in the back where we felt more comfortable and quieter in general. The staff was super nice, providing our toddler with crayons and coloring paper. The food was terrific, especially loved the mushroom fritters for appetizer, and entrees were good in taste and in the amount provided as well. My son loved the Thai fried rice. I personally didn't love my whiskey cocktail but my wife enjoyed her lychee cocktail. My wife is gluten free and vegetarian, and didn't have any trouble finding options in the big menu. This place is so cool! I love seeing what they have done to it, it's so modern and chic while also being comfortable. The food here has been so yummy both times I've been! We got the mushroom fritters and I swear I could eat just those as my meal. They were crispy and crunchy and light as a feather. We also got the basil stir-fry (I asked for it with tofu) and the curry with tofu- SO GOOD! Their lunch menu is also really great, too. They have something for everyone here.
