I'm grateful that I can find so many Asian snacks, foods, and little treats that I love. One of my favorite things is the convenience of being able to buy something you love, microwave it right there, and then just chill and enjoy your food in their huge dining area. Sometimes it's the simple things like that that make me happy. I love where I live. I love being able to have access to places like Don Don Donki and finding little pieces of home, comfort, and happiness in the things I enjoy. I'm just grateful!

I do love their poke bowls there. One thing I really appreciate is the amount of seating. There are plenty of tables indoors, plus outdoor seating if you'd rather enjoy your meal outside. It makes it a nice spot to relax instead of rushing out the door. I also noticed the condiments are available near the self-checkout area, which is a nice convenience. A few other helpful things I took note of: there are three ATM machines in the dining area if you need cash, and restrooms are available both near the main entrance and in the dining area. I took a few photos for reference to help future shoppers. Also I forgot to add, you now can enter from both sides of the store. Overall, it's more than just a grocery store, it's a great place to grab a quick bite, meet up with a friend, or even have a casual small business meeting. I was truly amazed at the variety of flavors of potato chips and Kit Kats! I couldn't leave without trying Roasted Chicken and Steak flavored Lays Chips and Strawberry Kit Kats! I was amazed by the Roasted Chicken Lays...they really had a roasted chicken taste! I will return again for more Lays and whatever other interesting items I find!!!

We initially said we didn't need a cart, but we were so wrong. We grabbed some random snacks just to try and review with each other, and compare them to the ones here in the States! We grabbed almost a cartful of snacks... not even ashamed to say it, but the total came to around $43, which to me wasn't that bad. The back of the store now has lights on. You can see in the back of the store. You no longer need to be apprehensive about venturing in the back of the previously unlit store. There is air conditioning, however, it doesn't seem to work well. I was in here for ten minutes and perspiring due to humidity and heat. I asked the one employee if she was uncomfortable in working in this heat. She replied that they are required to keep the front door open to let customers know it's open, so much of the cooled air escapes. It is crazy warm inside. Service is good. The one employee must stock, look out for customers and ring up sales. There is a half off table that I didn't observe in the past. Some of the drinks in the refrigerated section appear ready to burst. Overall, plus one star for labeling and price tags. I picked up a few sugar free and low calorie drinks to try here.

When we entered, one employee was wiping down the refrigerator doors while another was seated behind the counter. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted or acknowledged when we walked in. We browsed the store, which had a good selection of Filipino products, and I decided to purchase the onion and chive SkyFlakes crackers along with two banana lumpia. The male employee rang up the crackers and then spoke to the female employee in another language regarding the lumpia. I assumed everything was included in one transaction, but when I walked over to her, I realized I needed to pay separately. When she began putting both lumpia together in foil, I politely asked if they could be wrapped separately. Her reaction made me feel as though my request was an inconvenience. Overall, the transaction itself was fine, but the customer service could be more welcoming. A simple greeting and clearer communication would make a big difference. I also think that when discussing a customer's order, communicating in a language the customer understands would help avoid confusion and make the interaction feel more inclusive.

In a loud rude tone with her hands up holding papers replied "ask them" pointing to the back area. Of course no one was there so I waited and this young local girl working there was able to assist me. After I paid for my items I went looking for Yang and when I found her, I told her I didn't appreciate how rude she was and can't treat customers like that. Of course Yang denied everything. I asked a handful of workers where's the manager and they all acted like they didn't understood. I was going to contact and inform H Mart corporate office only to find this store location is not part of their company but an independent store. I will no longer support or shop at this Kalihi store!

I love the produce department which features imported produce from Japan. Although pricey the quality and taste are Top Notch. Local produce is fresh and vibrant. The fresh meats and seafoods are replenished daily always fresh. Sales associates and cashiers are always helpful and friendly.

Really have to hold myself back as I could subsist on Japanese snacks alone lol. Love that freshly milled rice is available here, amongst the myriad of bagged rice choices. Hot and cold food available here, along with poke bar and food items of regional fairs regularly held here. Getting here may pose a challenge with lane closures due to rail construction. Once you get here, finding parking is usually not an issue (save special holidays). Perhaps tonight I will be dreaming of having a shopping spree at Marukai where I get to consume what I wish to my hearts delight!

I saw a snack size bag of chips for $7. I get these are imported but that seemed a little excessive. I really enjoyed their variety of hot foods. It's no 7/11 however if you're in the area and want something a little different, I recommend you give it a try.

You can find them right on Kapiolani though you can barely seem them from the street view as it's not the prominent located spot as they're located right below The Republik right beside the ramp where you can find several parking stalls it shares with other tenants. Open daily except Sunday I love how clean and spacious the shop is where each item is labeled along with price so you know without picking up the item to search makes browsing very easy with items like drinks, snacks both savory and sweet and of course display case filled with various banchan. Not bad, but definitely not the best I've had, not enough sesame oil for my taste. They also have the popular fried strawberries snacks for sale. I also got a frozen musubi and some abalone congee to try. (The congee is really tasty!) There's also the famous fancy hotel kimchi for sale here if that's what you're into. All the products look interesting!

I love that we have a convenience store like this here. My daughter has been passing by with her friends to grab snacks after school. I was able to grab things for dinner, which made it really convenient. Overall, it's exactly what this neighborhood needed. Can't wait to see what else they will bring to this place.
