Went to islands today and found out they no longer have truffle fries. They changed their menu. I was a bit disappointed. The service good.

Not recommended. We walked in the door at 6 and no greeter came to seat for 5 min. More than half of our fries basket was crumbs which we brought to the attention of our server who offered to have it remade. Also our salad was served with brown avocado. We mentioned this to our server as well and she said the kitchen continued to serve it that way despite other complaints that week. Don't know who is managing this place but they need higher standards of quality. Burger was ok but nothing out of the ordinary for the price. Mediocre food at expensive prices. Me and my boyfriend were in search of something to eat before our movie and we saw Islands next door to the the theatre, it was so good! I had the Kilauea burger and added bacon, my boyfriend had the Hula added bacon and the cheese fries. We got there at 8pm an hour before closing and the server was really nice. I've been meaning to leave a review for the first time I visited this restaurant but I couldn't leave without expressing just how much I love coming here. This has got to be hands down the best Islands restaurant I've ever been too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is amazing. I always get the Big Wave with cheese and their Island Reds (fried red onions you have to try) and it's always cooked perfectly. The spinach dip is also so amazing!!!! Matt was my server today and he was very polite. I would definitely definitely recommend coming to this establishment. I wish I could give it more stars. read more

I like this place. We've recently started to hang out here with some regularity and so far it's been great. The food has been pretty awesome. I've been running through the menu trying out everything and no real disappointments yet. I love the fries and the burgers are to be reckoned with. The atmosphere has been really chill and even though we can be a little loud, no one's raised an eyebrow. That said, we won't be pushing to see what we can get away with. I'd like to keep coming here. It is a family friendly place so, don't get rowdy or act like sailors on shore leave. Remember to mind your manners. Lots of monitors to watch pretty much any event that strikes your fancy. They even turned on the Mater Dei/Bosco broadcast for those of us with an interest in HS sports. The bartender/server Mike (forgive me if that's not his name) is the coolest dude ever. Pours a great drink and quick with the orders. Makes everyone feel like long lost pals. It has been a long time since we have been to islands. I remember my husband and I went to the long beach town center location when they first opened. Found their burgers and fries to be MEH for the price they charge. Never went back until they opened another location in Cerritos town center. We went here for dinner the other night. The venue is definitely the smallest compared to the other locations I have seen but the customer service is not bad. The burgers and fries remain the same. They sound great on paper but when it is delivered, it is not much worth mentioning. Their fries have not changed at all after all these years. I will still visit stacked for my gourmet burger needs for a better experience. Sorry Islands coupon that was sent to me in the mail, you are not worth me spending another $30 bucks on just to get the $10 off. read more

This was my girlfriends and my first time at this islands location, and when I say the service was amazing I truly mean it ! Our server Neven was phenomenal from beginning to end! He was on top of everything, was super attentive, communicated at all times, overall I can't even describe the level of professionalism, respect and efficiency he had. Jimmy the manager was amazing as well! His kindness, professionalism and efficiency was also stellar ! Overall 10/10 would recommend this location to anyone. You will not be disappointed! Not bad. Not mind blowing fantasmic, but not bad for something to eat before or after a movie. It's pretty convenient, the burgers are decent and fairly large, and fries comes with the burger. Refillable fries that are kind of like a crispier In-N-Out fry. Fresh cut, I think. It's generally a pretty good deal. Any burger can be made vegetarian- sub a veggie patty. Visited this location at Cerritos Towne Center and was provided with top-notch service from Heather who was both vibrant and efficient. There is plenty of indoor seating and a great patio area that sits along the mall walkway. I ordered a Malibu burger which came with fries and also decided to try a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake came out first. It wasn't very thick but that made it easier to suck through the straw. The chocolate flavor was a bit weak. My preference is for a thick shake with a bold flavor so this wasn't my favorite but still enjoyable. My burger came out quickly. On top of the medium-cooked patty was lettuce, tomato, pickles, american cheese, applewood smoked bacon & mustard. It usually comes with onions too but I requested mine without. The beef had great flavor and, with all the ingredients, this was an above-average burger. I liked it. The only miscue was the fresh white bread bun which disintegrated very quickly, requiring me to request extra napkins (it was delicious but messy!). The fries were good and plentiful. This location of the chain is located conveniently near my workplace so return visits are guaranteed thanks to a decent burger and great service. 3.5 stars. read more

The Impossible burger is at Islands! Let me repeat! THE IMPOSSIBLE BURGER HAS COME TO ISLANDS!!! What's so impossible about the Impossible burger? Imagine biting into a meaty patty covered with white cheddar cheese, topped with avocado, lettuce, tomato, roasted garlic aioli and surrounded by a wheat bun. Sounds delicious? Well, that meat patty is entirely plant based and made of wheat protein. It had the texture and flavor of a beef patty. I didn't believe that it could closely resemble meat before I tried it for the first time at Islands but I'm now convinced! The Impossible burger's taste and texture is just like the real thing! The french fries were a thick salted crispy steak fries. So good were they that I couldn't stop at one basket of fries. The onion rings were very hard and crunchy. It made me suspect the onion rings were a bit overcooked. The service was excellent! Even though the restaurant started to fill up on an early weekend night, she checked in with us frequently and really made sure our needs were met. He had the sweet potato fries and I ordered the fried tempura green beens which complimented our burgers well to add that extra crunch. The lemon freeze drink was delicious and we ended our meal with the Kona Pie which basically was like eating a mocha almond fudge sundae. The added bonus was that there were high chairs available and the menu was available through our phones as we scanned the QR code on the table. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and kept the restaurant clean. They even accommodated my request for sitting more inside of the patio versus on the outside portion facing the restrooms. Make sure to ask for your table settings because you will need that knife to cut your burger. Unless you have the mouth to take on that huge bite, then go on and enjoy yourself! You deserve it, your stomach will appreciate it and it also gives yourself the much needed vacation from your kitchen. So my issue is not the food exactly the food is actually pretty good but my issue comes when you charge me $2.25 for guacamole and you give me a thimble. You already charged me $12 for a quesadilla which is literally tortilla and cheese and I was okay paying for that because I bought the $2.25 guacamole that I can put on approximately one piece of the quesadilla. Yesterday, 7/6/2021 my wife and I ate here at Islands for the first time in a year, afterwards we went to the Regal Theater to see a movie, again first time in a year, this is what we do when we go to this Regal Theater. My wife and I were greeted by a very happy young lady and escorted to our table, where our Server was Joao, he was very happy and friendly, he took our drink orders and was very quick in bringing them to us. My wife had ordered the Jungle Caesar Salad, and I ordered the Hawaiian Burger. The food was delicious, and promptly brought to us. The price was reasonable, but the food was just delicious. Joao was a great server, he talked with us, asked what we had planned afterward and we told him we were going to Regal to see the movie Quiet Place 2. Because of the staff in the kitchen and the young lady who greeted us, and of course because of Joao's very infectious laughter and wonderful personality, it was as though Islands had missed us over the year and they pulled out all the stops to make us feel welcomed, the Service was FANTASTIC, the food was DELICIOUS, the the mannerism of the staff was just GREAT. If you want to enjoy this type of wonderful experience, my wife and I STRONGLY recommend you come to Islands to enjoy this wonderful experience.
