We ordered a large Thai tea with boba and a Frosty milk with boba & pudding, I asked if he could change something up for me and although I know they don't normally change set items, he was kind enough to do it. Compared to other places, probably not as strong of tea flavors, more sugary and light. My wife always gets her jasmine milk tea. I usually mix it up and have tried shakes, smoothies, milk teas, frappes, so really just ends up being whatever I'm in the mood for since they have a wide variety of drinks and flavors. I asked the employee if there was anything close to matcha with creme brûlée & she suggested the dirty matcha which ended up being matcha mixed with espresso. They probably put a single drop of matcha while the rest of the cup was espresso, which tasted VERY watered down & old - undrinkable to say the very least. I took 2 sips & just had to throw it away. My bf got their Thai tea (less sweetened), decent flavor/sweetness but way too milky. Not to mention, the boba was also undercooked. The woman who made our drinks seemed annoyed and when I thanked her for our drinks she just turned around. Really good selection of drinks, with what is now my personal favorite, pistachio frappe! My wife described it perfectly, it's like drinking a lite pistachio ice cream. But it was really creamy, not crunchy with ice chunks like some other places. My wife had the lychee milk tea with bits and it was good, just not as good as the pistachio frappe. My son had a Carmel frappe and definitely enjoyed that too. I think the pistachio frappe by itself has now placed boba time in the rotation of boba places we go to around Irvine. Pleasant experience today. The kind owner rung us up at the register and was professional and courteous. I ordered the Rose Oolong Tea with Cheese foam (my regular order) and my friend ordered the Honeydew milk tea. They were both good. I ordered a yogurt smoothie for my grandma. All of the drinks here are tasty and consistent. For other customers: don't be afraid to dry different things here. They have a plethora of different flavors, textures, etc. For the employees: thank you for the quick service. The employees were able to make the drinks at a quick pace despite the long line. Keep it up. For the store as a whole: this place would certainly be a 5 Star if there was always boba in stock. I understand that you must make boba in batches and the customer size is unpredictable, but 20 percent of the time that I come here, there is no boba. As with the Westminster location, this Boba Time is bright and clean with welcoming and friendly employees. I was impressed with the variety of beverages in the menu. It's great that they have tea drinks, coffee drinks, shakes, frappes, slushes, shaved ice, wow, the list goes on. I got the Boba Coffee which is an excellent Vietnamese style iced coffee. It is one of the beat that I've had. It's not overly sweet, with a mild coffee flavor. So, this is my first visit here. Initial thoughts are that the fresh taro milk tea is one of the best I have ever had. The gentleman serving me was friendly, but did seem a bit out of sorts. I asked if the beverage was dairy free and he said yes. While waiting for my drink the woman working there corrected him and informed him that there are dairy free "options" I would need to choose from. I also ordered Boba with my drink which was forgotten and I had to go back in so they could add it. I'm chalking this up to the original person who was serving me as maybe being new, which is totally fine. Again, friendly service and happy to correct their mistakes, so all good. There are a few people who aren't fans of that, but I love my milk teas frigid. The flavors are also fantastic! My favorites are are the Taro milk tea, Thai iced tea, and Almond milk tea. My hubby loves the Hokkaido milk tea (butterscotch flavor), Jasmine milk tea, and Okinawa (brown sugar) milk tea. You really can't go wrong here! They have such a huge menu as well! Came here for two drinks today. Let's start with the service: they didn't listen and I had to repeat myself a few times until they got the order correct. For the few times I have been there you would think they would at least say "thank you" however being personable seems to be the least on their minds. They also rush you to order so they can get back to their "small talk" behind the counter. We ordered a mango slush with lychee and popping boba and an Oolong tea with boba and lychee jelly. The mango slush was watered down and virtually tasteless. Oolong tea was also tasteless and reminded me of drinking dirty water. I had already gotten inside my car and drove off hoping another sip would improve the taste however it did not. Paying for as much as I do for these drinks you would at least think it would be worth the visit. It's simply not. I won't be giving them anymore of my money. I'm happy to go elsewhere and pay more.
