Waited for 10 mins in front of the register, never asked once if I needed help but they kept looking at me so i left. Only one other couple was in there and they had already ordered so they weren't busy. It just made no sense to be ignored in that fashion with 5-6 people working and blatantly being disregarded. Door says closing time is 9pm. Walked in 5 minutes before 9 and they said they were closed. Their doors weren't locked either. This is the second time it's happened to me at this location. Last time I came 15 minutes before closing and they said they had already cleaned their machines and they had taken their last costumer before me. I've never had any issues with Stockdale location. They should have correct times posted on doors and stick to that. read more

For some reason the drinks at this boba time location are not as good as the one on Stockdale. Sometimes the drinks are too sweet, other times it tastes powdery, other times the bobas are hard.. Not only that but some of the workers here give bad customer service. One time they made my drink wrong and when I asked (politely) if they could remake it, he gave me attitude and then charged me extra. I went in on my lunch break as I work in the mall full time and I ordered an Açai bowl with just banana, granola, and peanutbutter. It took 15 mins for them to make it and seriously had just one little spoonful of peanut butter on it so I ask the guy if I could please have more peanut butter and he said yes but we usually charge $.50 for peanut butter and I told him "okay that's all I really wanted on it and would of been happy to pay for it but you didn't tell me." Then he put one more little spoon full on it. the bowl had so much Banana on it that it ruined the taste of the açaí and I honestly should of just asked for my money back. I can't wait for Brazilian Açaí bowls to open up inside the mall so I can actually have a good bowl with out the attitude. I've stopped here two times coming from San Diego. That's where I found out about this place so when I found out they had a location in Bakersfield I was stoked. The first time I mobile ordered the Thai tea slush but when I got it, it was too watery and the boba was a little tough. I thought maybe I'd gotten there too late. The next time I mobile ordered the pistachio frappe in their parking lot. The consistency was a lot better but the downside was that they didn't put ANY pistachio nuts in it!! In SD I've ordered the pistachio frappe twice and the consistency is the same and they're generous with their pistachios. They need to step it up or else I'll have to get my fix in LA :( read more

First off I want to say I was really excited to come and try this new boba location here in Bakersfield. I have to say is, what a freaking disappointment. Ordered the matcha strawberry, was Alright. Service was alright, although it took 20 min to get two drinks. I just have to say something about the customer service. Being in the customer service industry for 7+ years I'm sure I know what great customer service is. The young man on the register wouldn't even make eye contact with you. No greeting or and thanks you. Not a peep. Also something that really made me upset about the whole experience was that there was a party of I want to say 7 people sitting down enjoying their drinks and hanging out. It was 9:45pm and one of the employees started to put all the chairs up on the tables. That to me and as well as the guest that we're there made me feel like if they were trying to get us out of there. We still had 15 min to hang out and relax enjoy our drinks. The party of 7 left because I want to say they felt rushed and almost kicked out. The employer need to really adjust this crew and make sure each and every single employee is giving the best service to the customer. If you're not willing to put in 100% then they don't need to be there. I've reas from previous comments about this place and most of what I've read is about the service. This means something. It means that it's time to do something about it and get rid of the people not willing to do their jobs. I hope the owner sees this and finally realizes what's going on with his business. Staff takes forever to make ONE drink! I've been here once and it will be my last time going! I waited 40 mins for a drink. The person in front of me ordered an açaí bowl and after about 30 mins, the cashier told him that they didn't have the ingredients to make his açaí bowl.. BS! Me and my girlfriend were excited to try this place and unfortunately had a bad experience with the first cashier, Piper. She was extremely rude. This place has a view of the kitchen, and I witnessed the same cashier, who was making our drink, touch the top of the foam on the cup and then touched her face. She bother didn't washing her hands after either and proceeded to make more drinks. We then asked if we could have a refund, and the cashier rudely said "well I already made your drink". Then a gentleman came out to help us, and is the reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1, because he made the situation better by offering to remake our drink and apologized for the situation. He then told us the hire was new, which I understand working in a new busy place can be overwhelming but is no excuse to take it out on customers. My gf loves the drinks here. But lately they been very backed up and sometimes it's not worth the wait. Also the drinks are not consistent. We always order the same drink. but the last three times they have been tasting different. Sometimes they forget to add all the ingredients other times they add way too much ice. This place is so good! I usually get the strawberry coconut. It's usually busy, but worth the wait.

I normally don't leave bad reviews but I went to get some boba at 8:05pm. The line was going good till about 8:15pm and then all the employees stopped taking orders to make drinks. I understand being busy but nothing was said to me as I was standing next in line waiting to order so I waited till 8:50pm. At this point Employees would come to the register and fiddle some things but not a word about the wait time. As I was waiting and orders were being called out people would thank the employees but they didn't reply. Over all customer service was horrible and not even the curly hair guy that seemed to be shift lead said a word to the customers to notify us of the wait. Not to mention the lights were half on so the place was dark and felt depressing. Lighting matters in a business. This reminded me why I avoid Boba Time. Bad service and a long wait time. Please re train the employees on basic customer service. read more
