I was excited to see that the famous Ivan Ramen from NYC was here at the Via Via food hall inside the Venetian. It's a casual quick service version of the actual restaurant, so you order at the counter and seat yourself. The menu consists of mostly ramen, a couple of rice bowls and a few appetizers. We ordered the Tokyo Shoyu ($19) and Chicken Paitan ($21). Between the two, the Tokyo Shoyu ramen was better with a light dashi-chicken broth, pork, soft-boiled egg and roasted tomato. It was tasty and the egg was cooked well. The Chicken Paitan was spicier than expected given it only had chicken broth, minced chicken, crispy chicken skin and egg yolk in it. I've had other chicken paitans that were better. I wasn't expecting it to be exactly like the real thing, but I thought it would be better. The ramen broths were very salty and not in a craveable way. It's fine if you want ramen in a pinch but I probably wouldn't get it again.

Located in the Via Via food court. I will say, the other options in the food court are very enticing and likely better but if craving ramen, this is fine enough. Overall, a mediocre bowl of ramen, but the convenience is hard to beat. They did the soft boiled egg well, and had yummy woodear mushrooms which I enjoyed. I also liked that it had pickled veg. The noodles looked buck-wheaty which I didn't mind. The broth is bland though. Definitely not traditional or GOOD ramen for LA standards, but was good enough. Service is fast and was one of the few locations that didn't have line. Ambiance is food court vibes. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Combos- spicy ramen and soy garlic chicken, tonkotsu ramen and gyoza

Ivan Ramen located in the via via food court. Walk up, order, have a seat- tables or the bar, and they call your name when your order is ready. Get your food and enjoy. Casual spot, but was nice. We got combos so we tried the following- Tonkotsu ramen- friend really enjoyed this one. Good flavors, whole thing finished. Spicy miso ramen- I loved the spice to this one, but for the sake of others, they could warn it's actually spicy. It's really spicy if I can taste it, haha. Not sure if it's always like this, but a lot of the flavors are the spice and I wasn't too fond of the heaviness of the thicker broth with ground meat. Gyoza- looks crispy-ish, but a bit on the oily soggy end. Otherwise it was pretty good. Soy garlic Chicken wings- could have used some more crispiness, but otherwise tasty. For the drinks in our combo, we got water. Evian. Fancy lol. I rather go elsewhere for ramen going forward, but glad I finally got to try Ivan ramen.

Overall cool vibe, but the chicken bowl was just ok. The fried chicken was nice and crunchy, tender, but the chicken was drenched in sauce. The sauce was a bit sour vinegary flavor that was not an enhancement. There were somewhat looked like Korean pickles. The onsen egg was good. There were three different fried chicken items on the menu, but when I asked the person taking my order how they are prepared and to describe them, she could tell me anything but they are pretty similar. Maybe all three were the exact same thing with different names?

    Tokyo shio

Got the Tokyo Shio, their signature dish, special thin rye noodles, clean dashi chicken broth. Standard pork belly paired with the unique roasted tomato, and perfectly soft cooked egg. Great satisfying but light dinner before a show. No line (maybe not the best sign) but food came out super quick. I know this probably wasn't quite like the real restaurant in NYC but glad I got to try it. It was a pretty small bowl which was fine for the occasion but you probably want to order appetizers or another main if you've got an appetite.

Not to sure what I expected- service was pleasant, informative and helpful. Hubby came up with a couple of bowls for the kids and they were enjoying it so we decided to settle on a bowl as well. I went down to order and didn't want to get 2 of the same bowl. He made great recommendations. I got the spicy bowl but subbed chicken. Omg maybe I'm not used to spicy but I should have checked the level of spice before agreeing. My mouth lips and ass where all on fire within 10mins. The regular chicken bowls I would say are ok just basic ramen nothing too special for any of it. I will say their eggs were perfectly cooked.

We were inside the Venetian, and we were famished. We found a food court, which had many great options. Ordering at the kiosk at Ivan was super easy. The Tonkatsu Ramen $20 was delicious, made to order. The broth was nice and hearty. Lots of green onions, pickled mustard greens - the pork was tender and every bite was delicious! The Ivan chicken karaage $15 was very good too - well seasoned and perfectly fried. To me, it was just a well seasoned friend chicken pieces, it was lacking the balance of sweet and salty flavors of karaage. Not much of an ambiance here. It's a food court and you serve yourself. Like all the Vegas food courts we've been to, there are no hydration stations. You have to buy bottled water. I'll come back again.

This review is for their giant Yuzu Shaved Ice "Kakigori", which is big enough to share with 2 to 6 people. Although it was just 2 of us... haha They are located inside the new Via Via food court at The Venetian. While their specialty is ramen, we were looking for some yummy dessert instead. I love yuzu anything so their yuzu dessert menu caught my eyes. I just had to get it even if it's winter right now. It takes 15 min for their kitchen to make this. Giant fluffy shaved ice with thick yuzu pudding layered right in the middle of the shaved ice, with condensed milk drizzle all over it, and yuzu candies & cookie crumbles sprinkled around the side of the shaved ice. But wait, we are not done here? The guy brought out a blow torch! He put a big glob of marshmallow on top of the shaved ice and torch it. Making it a master piece. Overall, a giant refreshing yuzu ice heaven. Yum!

Another option at Via Via food hall in The Venetian. Honestly, we don't care for Ramen and I don't see necessarily how it fits in with what I think of as food hall food... something you grab for a quick bite before going back out on the casino floor. But we were able to find some things to try here for just such a between-gambling break. We shared the Schmaltz Fried Goyza ($13), the Waygu Pastrami Buns ($14), the Japanese Fried Chicken ($15) and a small draft beer, which I think was around $11. The Goyza was pretty good - similar to anything you'd get at millions of American Chinese restaurants. I really didn't like the Pastrami Buns at all, but I'm not a big pastrami fan so that probably had something to do with it. I also hate sauerkraut, so this is NOT for me. If you love a good pastrami sandwich, you'll like this. We thought the Fried Chicken was very similar to something you'd find at Panda Express. Nothing wrong with that. If you enjoy Ramen, you'll find something to like here I'm sure. Like all the options at Via Via, it's clean and service is prompt.

For those who enjoy ramen, this spot hits the mark. Flavors are solid, portions are generous and it even makes for a great hangover cure. Located inside the Venetian with little to no wait when I went at 1 PM on a Sunday. * Tonkotsu Ramen ($19) - 8/10 Hearty serving of noodles and broth. Comes with all the standard toppings you'd expect from ramen shops in cities like NY or the Bay Area. Also thought this was worth sharing. I saw an extremely intoxicated guest spill his entire tray of ramen right after pick up. The staff immediately came over with towels. Cleaned everything up and even offered him a replacement bowl without hesitation. Great food. Even better service!

Wagyu Pastrami Bao Buns $14- good but kinda skimpy

Loved Ivan Orkin's story on Netflix Chef's Table and the fact that he is also a fellow CIA(Culinary Institute of America)graduate. He knows food, and especially ramen(He had 2 successful Ramen shops in Tokyo until 2012 when he moved back to NYC with his family)so when he opened up at Venetian's new Via Via Food Hall, a visit was planned. We got the Wagyu Pastrami Bao Buns($14), Tonkotsu Ramen($19), and Ivan Palmer-yuzu lemonade and barley tea($6) to share. It was crowded and there was a line, but it moved fast. We already had 2 seats at the counter so it was all good. That tonkotsu is some of the better tasting in town IMHO. Ramen-5/5 Pastrami Bao Buns-4/5 Ivan Palmer 5/5 Strip prices... it is what it is. Would I come back? Yes. Don't understand the low reviews. Probably Ramen rookies who prefer Buldak or Maruchan LOL!!!!

I came, I saw, Ivan. Ivan Ramen is a renowned ramen shop from New York City. This is the Venetian's attempt to transport that magic to a food hall just off their casino floor. I have seen some success at a similar food hall at the Cosmopolitan, so I was optimistic about this place despite the mixed reviews on Yelp so far. It was easy to find the Via Via Food Hall from the Venetian self-parking. After going down the main escalator to the casino floor (Grand Lux should be on your right at the bottom), it was a quick left and a short walk away. There was no line, perhaps since it was well past the lunch rush hours, and I was able to order quickly at the counter. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare, so I wouldn't quite classify this place as "fast casual." While waiting, I sipped on their Yuzu Lemonade (rang up as $5.00), and I was pleasantly surprised at how intense it was. It did resemble yuzu, and they topped it off with some soda water which was a fun touch. It did come with a decent amount of ice, so it's not an exceptional deal, but I'd say it's more than reasonable for the Strip. I went with the Tonkotsu ramen ($19.00), which is the main kind of broth which I tend to order. The broth did come out pretty creamy, but more importantly it was delicious and did not end taste too salty on either the first or last slurp. The thin noodles were medium in firmness, which is fine with me. The thick, gargantuan slab of chashu was perfectly tender throughout, but somehow the fat part of it didn't even feel too fatty. The soft-boiled egg (two halves, not just one) was pretty good although it could've been marinated a bit more. The wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and even the diced pickled mustard greens were all tasty and useful toppings. The portion is somewhat modest overall, but I still loved what I got. The Cold Sesame Noodles ($19.00) are an interesting option too. It has thin noodles, shredded chicken, lots of sesame seeds to garnish, and a nutty sesame sauce in the bowl (note: mix the bowl thoroughly to get said sauce). It also has a lot of heat from the piquillo peppers and especially the Thai chilis. I found it hard to take more than a couple bites at a time before dripping with sweat. Others may have better tolerance, so order this at your own risk. I had a great meal at Ivan Ramen. I would easily rank the tonkotsu as top 3 if not higher within the current Las Vegas ramen scene, so I would come back for it. The pricing is also pretty reasonable for the Strip. Definitely come try this spot if you're a ramen fan, and note that parking is free for up to 3 hours for Nevada locals (except for event pricing, so check the Sphere concert calendar before going).

Made in houe - Wagyu Pastrami Bao Buns
    Laura A.

Ivan Ramen is located in the Via Via Food Court on the Casino Floor in the Venetian Casino/Hotel. They offer traditional and non traditional with twist Japanese style foods. I heard about their amazing "Made in House" WAGYU PASTRAMI Bao Buns so we had to give them a try. They accidentally burnt our order and said they will make is a new order. The new order came out and it was over cooked, next to burnt (pastrami) and also was an unusually scant amount of pastrami in the Bao Buns. Latter I showed my husband a Yelp picture of the Wagyu Pastrami Bao Buns from the New York Location. He said if he saw what they are suppose to look like then he wouldn't have accepted the ones we got and would have asked for his money back. I have contacted the New York Ivan Ramen Location about this. Good Luck!

We dropped in for a late dinner at 8PM, driving there directly from Zion National Park after hiking Angel's Landing. It was still surprisingly busy inside and we even had to wait a bit for a table! The waitress first brought over some cucumber lemon water, then took our order. The food only took about 10 minutes to arrive. Spicy Beef Noodle, Knife Shaved ($15.97) - Whew that broth. It's like cough city on the first sip, that chili and sichuan peppercorn mixture really gets into the throat. It then transitions into a robustly beefy, salty, and even slightly sweet flavor. It's so beefy it's almost gamey in taste. The heat is actually very balanced, although after sipping on it throughout the meal, I started getting pretty sweaty even with the AC on blast in the building. The beef is great. it's fatty and has connective silverskin still attached; it's like the best part of the tendinous shank. Other than that there's the perfectly cooked, bouncy knife shaved noodles, and a couple of leaves of crunchy blanched bok choy. (5/5) Beef Pancake ($9.75) - I thought these would be dry like shao bing (I have never had 餡餅 before) but construction took us totally by surprised. The beef pancakes are almost like a flatter, beef version of sheng jian bao, complete with juicy beef aspic. The wrapper is chewy and thinner than a typical SJB, but works well here; it's not thin enough to cause holes that leak juice out. The meatball inside is beefy and flavorful, albeit not as tender as a typical pork meatball. The taste of both the juice and beef are very allium forward and full of umami. (5/5) Dan Dan Noodle, Hand Pulled Noodle ($13.97) - The topping is a cold meat and preserved veggie mixture, minced finely until very tender and soft. It's combined with plenty of sesame paste and peanuts, giving an overwhelming nuttiness. The noodles, in this case the hand pulled one, work exceptionally well, being perfectly cooked and staying the same bouncy consistency throughout the meal. My experience with the hand pulled noodles in broth at the other Shang location was that the noodles got too soft only ten or fifteen minutes sitting in the broth. I would definitely get hand pulled only with dry dishes. On the bottom of this dish is a really spicy sauce, both in heat and mala numbness. It's very fragrant and lemony even through there's not much red color. The dish as a whole is far more spicy overall than the Spicy Beef Noodle. (5/5) The portions Shang Artisan Noodle serves are huge. We hiked Angels Landing before eating dinner here and we were only able to finish about half our meal. Shang Artisan Noodle serves some really great noodle dishes. There's a reason we keep coming back for more! Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for women, one for men
