During our visit to the spa, my sister and I decided to have lunch at Ivy Kitchen, and it was the perfect choice. My sister ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. While it was made fresh to order and served with hot, crispy fries, the steak itself could have used a little more seasoning. Thankfully, the delicious dipping sauces--including a cheesy sauce and ranch--helped elevate the dish. I went with the Chicken Nachos, and wow...they were absolutely amazing! The portion size was huge and could easily be shared between two people. If I were to do it again, my sister and I would definitely split the nachos and save room for more spa-time relaxation. The only unexpected hiccup during our visit was a power outage. This was completely outside of Glen Ivy's control, as we later learned that Edison had temporarily shut off power to perform service in the area. Fortunately, power was restored within about 45 minutes to an hour. Thankfully, my sister and I had already taken our lunch break before it happened. What really impressed me was how the staff handled the situation. Once power was restored, team members walked throughout the resort personally notifying guests that services were available again. Their communication and professionalism helped make an inconvenient situation much smoother. I would absolutely return to Glen Ivy and Ivy Kitchen. Whether you're looking for something light or a more filling meal, they have options to satisfy just about every appetite. Combined with the beautiful spa setting and attentive staff, it makes for a wonderful experience from start to finish. Went here the day after Christmas with my wife and it was kinda gloomy and raining. It was 11:50am and there was a line of about 10 in front of us, but it went pretty quick. The service was good too. We treated ourselves and ordered the calamari, angus cheeseburger, and pepperoni flat bread. It was not hard to find seating outside at all and the food took about 15-20 minutes to get to us. When it came out, it was like barely seared and super raw. I like my steak medium so I took it back inside and and told them it was under cooked for me. They brought back the same steak charred and it was the nastiest tasting steak I've ever tried. I had to go inside to ask for a knife, to ask for ketchup because their potato fingerlings were flavorless, and I asked for steak sauce. The server brought me gravy to dip the steak in. It was awful! No one ever came to check on us, as a matter of fact, once they drop your food off, you never see them again. Also, they brought our appetizer, dinner, and dessert all out at the same time so the ice cream was melted by the time we got to it. Needless to say, I ended up only eating the artichoke dip. We spent an entire day at Glen Ivy and were happy to see a restaurant on premises to grab a quick lunch between soaks. Everyone was in swimsuits and towels so it was super casual. You line up and order, grab a number, and get your food delivered to your table. I loved the fried chicken sandwich with pickled cabbage, but would pass on the spinach and artichoke calzone. Next time I might go to the snack bar and try a grilled cheese from there. I would compare this to amusement park food. Yes, it's over priced but it gets the job done and is edible. We waited good ten minutes before we could spot an employee to ask them to clean the table we wanted to use. We shared a Caesar salad which was pretty good but the club sandwich was very disappointing. The bread was saggy, the turkey looked and tasted weird, no flavor at all. We didn't eat that of course. Just the bagged chips that was delicious lol ... my husband got a canned beer which costs $11 ... total for our lunch over $80 .... Super high prices for bad quality food. If the food was good then I wouldn't mind the prices cause of the location. It's convenient to eat here obviously but not worth it. Maybe other items tasted better. Who knows. It serves breakfast and lunch options, but my friend and I decided to stop for breakfast on the way before arriving to Glen Ivy as the options seemed pretty mid for the price. We opted for the nachos and hummus trio to share, which was absolutely the way to go! Delicious! The staff were friendly and service was fairly quick, plenty of seating inside and outside at 1pm. The downside of sitting outside was a bee that really wanted to join us for lunch and eat some cucumber. While we greatly enjoyed our meal, had I ordered a wrap I would have been gravely disappointed based on what I saw come out. Girl dinner appetizers are the way to go. read more

I understand that kitchen is about sustainability, but people are going into hot pools and sauna and sweating a lot/burning off calories. I felt like I was mostly eating noodles and well let's be honest when I left Glen Ivy, I was starving because the portion wasn't enough. The raspberry mascarpone was ok...i dont think it was worth $8...it wasn't too sweet and it was fresh though. Either they up the portions or lower the cost for the bowls to be good for folks. You can never have high expectations for resort food. Overpriced food, small portions, and long waits. Spicy Tuna Poke Lettuce Wraps This dish had way much more shredded carrots on top that you couldn't even see the small amount of poke that was hiding underneath. Although it was basically more of a salad, it was refreshing, but didn't like the sauce they put on top. Grass Fed Angus Burger They said it would take 20minutes, but felt more like an eternity. Maybe because we were hangry, but why does it take so long just to throw a patty on the grill and assemble a burger? Not to mention they only have sweet potato fries, no regular, and the amount of fries they gave was for children. And surprisingly it was only served with ranch, no ketchup. It also comes with a pickle spear. Note - for burger and sandwich entree, you can opt for a side of sweet potato fries, garden salad, soup or fruit. Cost - $22 for my burger and fries. It was pricey but expected of for dining at a spa. Overall Experience - The food was enough to keep me satiated before hitting the saline pool, bath house and steam room before the end of my day.
