i am up at 2 am with an upset stomach from the meal i just paid almost $100.00 for my dad and i. i used to work at your overland park kansas location back in the late 90s and the food is not quality like i remember and tastes old expired and the ribs were all bone and hardly any meat. for $33 plus tax fees and tip plus i paid $20 tip to have a girl deliver it, i paid almost $100 yesterday and im not happy with the quality of the food. 1- the baked potato that came as side for bony ribs was hard, not warm and i had to cook all over again the next day. there was hardly and butter bacon cheese and sour cream for it, so i have to add what i have at home for that too! i am disabled from a car accident and unable to cook had a terrible week and wanted to treat myself and the carrot cake i've loved is too sweet, i could barely eat it! i only took 2 bites! photos are also taken for my google maps review, im top 10 percent steakhouse restaurant reviewer and have millions of views on social media. the mac and cheese was bland and hard, not appetizing and i added garlic onion powder salt pepper and butter to make it palatable and still didnt finish it. the smoked salmon dip is disgusting, nothing like the houstons/hillstone smoked salmon which i love and i am dissapointed. i made an anchovy sauce to try to eat it but the salmon isnt fresh and i dont want to be food poisoned. i know with take out sometimes the restaurant gives you subpar food they wouodnt serve you dining in person. i want a full refund of my $71.00 i paid yesterday and i want extra $20 for the tip i had to pay to have it delibered since youre not on uber eats or doordash. a $100 refund or gift certificate to come in and eat is the only resolution. this review and photos will also be posted on google, yel0 and pissed consumer. very dissapointed, i did more cooking and prepping than shoukd have been done and thats not the purpose of ordering take out. read more

The restaurant has a rustic ranch-style atmosphere, and anyone familiar with the Ford King Ranch edition will recognize the signature branding throughout. It wasn't busy when we arrived, and we were seated right away. I started with an Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve, complete with a hint of orange, bitters, and two Luxardo cherries. It was perfect. For an appetizer, we ordered the smoked brisket queso with chips. The brisket wasn't overly smoky and paired nicely with the queso, pico de gallo, and cilantro. The real standout, though, was the chips. They had a flavorful seasoning that took them to the next level. For his entrée, my husband ordered The Plate, which includes your choice of two or three meats along with slaw, onions, pickles, 7-Spice fries, and cowboy beans. He chose smoked turkey, smoked chicken, and sausage. The turkey and chicken were well-seasoned, juicy, and not overly smoky. The sausage had a great peppery flavor, and the cowboy beans were loaded with brisket, adding even more richness. The fries were delicious, but if you're not a fan of coleslaw touching them, ask for it on the side. Yes, I know I said I wanted a simple steak for lunch, but this was my version of simple. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and full of rich beef flavor. It practically melted in my mouth. It didn't need steak sauce, but the chimichurri and grilled mushrooms were the perfect complement. They were so good that I ended up ordering another side. Once you move past the lobby into the restaurant, the atmosphere changes into something very stylish, intimate, and upscale. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The main dining area is connected to the bar area, which initially threw us off a little because I thought the more tucked away seating toward the back would be the main dining room. That back area is a little more cozy and intimate, with long bench style seating. We decided to remain in the main dining area, and it ended up being perfectly fine. The SERVICE was absolutely top-tier. One thing I really appreciated was how much the staff worked as a team. It wasn't just one server taking care of us. Different staff members would stop by, greet us, check on us, clear things away, and make sure we had everything we needed. You could really tell that providing excellent service is a team effort there. We visited during Houston Restaurant Weeks and took advantage of their special three-course dinner menu benefiting the Houston Food Bank. We had to ask for the Restaurant Weeks menu, so that's something to keep in mind if you're visiting during the promotion. At first, we wondered if the portions might be smaller because it was a special prix-fixe menu, but we were pleasantly surprised. The selections were great, the portions were satisfying, and the FOOD was absolutely delicious! I ordered the short ribs and OH MY GOODNESS. They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I would absolutely order them again. My husband ordered the seafood pasta, and of course I had to taste his too. It was delicious! Both entrees were excellent, and the entire meal felt like a true dining experience rather than just dinner. Juliet is also a beautiful place for a date night or special occasion. It has a romantic, intimate atmosphere without feeling overly stuffy. They have private dining rooms available for larger parties, outdoor seating, and several really cute areas for photos. Even the restroom area has a beautiful flower wall that makes a great photo backdrop, and they have a photo booth style setup where you and your spouse, date, or friends can take pictures. I thought that was such a fun touch and a nice way to remember the evening. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful anniversary dinner. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, everything felt elevated and well done. If you're looking for somewhere upscale for a birthday, anniversary, date night, girls' night, special event, or even an intimate dinner for two, I definitely recommend Juliet. Great food. Excellent service. Beautiful atmosphere. And an experience that feels a little different from everywhere else. Definitely one we'll continue coming back to!

It was quite the extensive menu with many healthy options. The decor was on the glam side. The staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone liked their meals. Portions were grand. I ate all of my food with a short lived thought to take half home. Good food experience but not so much with the valet when the guy yelled at me to pay the $5. When I began eating it, I immediately tasted cilantro on a portion of the chicken. I strongly dislike cilantro and am very familiar with its very distinctive taste, so I sent the dish back. The cilantro itself wasn't even what bothered me most. Mistakes and cross-contact happen in restaurant kitchens. Since I didn't taste it on every piece of chicken, I assumed some of it may simply have been accidentally garnished or come into contact with cilantro. What bothered me was how the chef/owner handled it. He came to my table and proceeded to tell me that what I was tasting wasn't cilantro. He insisted that I was either tasting the microgreens or green onion. I know what cilantro tastes like. I certainly know the difference between cilantro, green onion and microgreens. Instead of simply acknowledging that something could have happened in the kitchen, he spoke to me as though I didn't understand what I was tasting. Eventually, I just agreed with him because I wanted the conversation to end and wanted him away from my table. I wasn't agreeing because I suddenly believed I had mistaken green onion or microgreens for cilantro. I simply had no interest in continuing to argue with the chef/owner over what I had personally tasted in my own food. I have no interest in engaging with a man who acts like that and wants to argue. A much more professional response would have been, "I'm sorry about that. We'll replace it." That would have been the end of the matter. Instead, a minor and completely understandable kitchen mistake became an uncomfortable interaction because of the way it was handled. Food mistakes happen. I don't expect perfection. But I do expect to be treated respectfully rather than patronized and argued with over something as simple as cilantro. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled is what left the lasting impression.Definitely not coming back. This was my third and final visit here.
