Hugo Spritz and SMOKED SALMON DIP
    Erica C.

We sat at the bar. McKayla was a great bartender. I had the Hugo Spritz which was so refreshing on a summer day. He had the old fashioned. We started with the Smoked Salmon Dip. It was really good. He had the Steak Maui which looked really good. I had the Slow Roasted Prime Rib with smashed potatoes. It was good, but a bit fatty. Overall, it was a good experience.

The best steak salad I ever had. This steak was soooo tender and seasoned to perfection. No complaints. Arrived when the restaurant opened and the crowd was steadily arriving. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance is clean and causal.

We were invited to dine here on the third night of our visit to Michigan for Christmas vacation. We met our family members here and it was a wonderful time. The staff here is excellent. We ordered: 1 Spinach Queso Dip in bar 1 Deviled Eggs for the table 2 Crabcake Entrees, 1 Cheeseburger with Shoestring Fries, 1 Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Shoestring Fries, 1 Rotisserie Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, 1 Salmon Entree with risotto, and 1 Cobb Salad with Chicken. Everything was well prepared, hot, and tasted perfectly. Items came out in good time, 3 entrees, then 2 entrees, then 2 more entrees, within 3-5 minutes for the serving time. At our table we wait for everyone to get their food before eating, so waiting 5 mins from the first item delivered to the table was reasonable. Our server was named Tee or Tay and she was excellent. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Overall, this was a great family dining experience. As a note, they have a full and very busy bar that seemed to be a popular place to enjoy for pre-dinner drinks.

Sat at the bar on Christmas Eve and it was very busy but the staff was incredible. Great teamwork and very attentive. I really enjoyed the steak salad. My cousin ordered the ahi tuna salad and commented that it was "fishy" she was not feeling well by the end of dinner and sadly left with food poisoning.

    Ask the Community - J. Alexander's

I've heard that this location may be closing soon. Is that accurate information? If it is I would like to travel back to Michigan and have dinner a last time before it does. I have too many memories here!! Please respond!

Not sure if they are closing but it wouldn't surprise me. The service and food is not the same as it used to be years ago unfortunately.

The "Out of Town" cocktail I ordered offers a unique spin on the traditional Margarita where ingredients include , Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, Fresh Lime & Pineapple Juice, Real Coconut Syrup and a Tajin seasoned Rim. The cocktail was very well made and oh so tasty. So tasty in fact I ordered 2 of them. Being a higher end steak house, prices at this business are on the higher end of the spectrum to include their cocktails. Having said that, you can get an assortment of their craft cocktails for $10 during Happy Hour which are significantly less than what you would pay during non Happy Hour prices. Aside from the drinks, they also offer some tasty looking food options where one in particular caught my eye being the Filet Mignon Sliders (two each) which looked amazing as I watched the guy next to me devour his. I will definately be returning to try these in the very near future. Relative to staff and facility, this is a very classy establishment and definately a great place to take your significant other where they will appreciate the upscale feel and romantic vibe this business has going for it. Staff was super friendly where I had some nice and entertaining discussions with the bartenders which I always get a kick out of ! Overall This is a great Happy Hour and an opportunity to sample unique and well made cocktails at a discount price. If you are in the area and are a fan of well made drinks than you should definately check this business out.

I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.

Sat in a more private smaller dining room but once more tables filled, it was almost impossible for our smaller group to even talk across the table at each other. Since we socialize while we eat, it didn't make it easy to talk except the people sitting next to you. Service was friendly and did stop around once and a while. Food took a little while. Not everything was correct and we had to flag people down to correct. While I have had some wonderful streaks there at a very reasonable price and the price was only $4 higher than the last time, the quality was much lower and instead of being medium well, it was almost medium rare. The potions were still large for all. I am not sure if our group will be back, at least for dinner since lunch time is easy to get closer parking and a lower noise level.

For some reason, this area is just packed with unique brunch style restaurants and Leeza's is apart of it. Absolutely incredible menu. I love seafood brunch, and this is one of the few places that has shrimp, crab, lobster and salmon available in a variety of dishes. Another item that was unique and incredible was the Potato Pancake Benedict. As someone who is a previous Eggs Benedict addict, but who tries to avoid bread, the Potato Pancake Benedict is one of the best brunch innovations I've seen in the last 3 years. They let you use the modification with any of their Benedict offerings, so I choose to use it on the Crab Cake Benedict. I absolutely loved it. The Crab Cake didn't overdo it on the Cake, and was properly filled with crab (as it should be). The Hollandaise had a great (but not overpowering) flavor and had a nice, thick texture. The dish was an awesome revelation, and I'll be coming back because I don't know anyone else who has it Because I had the Potato Pancakes, I decided to go with the grits as my side and, again, they were unique and high quality. I got the butter and cheese grits and they were incredibly creamy with great, fresh cheese flavor. You also got a great portion, which was much appreciated. The waitress we had was awesome and my coffee was hot, high quality, and filled multiple times. The place has a ton of booths and parking is fine for the most part.
