I was in a real bind and after reading the bad reviews I went ahead with their service anyways. My back sliding glass door had been broken and I needed it replaced immediately. It was a Friday morning so I knew getting service there last minute before the weekend would be very difficult. I called a few other places and no one had any appointments for that day. So I called J & A and he said that he would have someone come and take a look and board up my back door while the replacement glass was being ordered. Perfect, just what I needed. It was 9am and he said that he would have someone come out within an hour. Well, three hours later the guys finally showed up. I was a bit worried at that point if they were coming at all but they did squeeze me in last minute. They boarded up the window and gave me a reasonable estimate for the replacement glass, so I ordered it. I actually called another company just have a second estimate. And though this other company got good reviews on yelp they were $300 more expensive and did not offer a board up service. So I decided to stick with J & A. You have to be a little proactive to get the good service that you want but for a $300 savings, that's not a problem for me. I made an appointment with Joe to have the replacement glass installed and I was very specific about the time of arrival because I needed to be at work that day. He agreed. The night before I called to confirm my appointment and the girl seemed unsure but said that she would talk to Joe. Joe called back and confirmed. My appointment was for 8:30am and they got there around 8:40am, so that's right on time in my book. They did an excellent job installing the new sliding glass door and cleaned up all the glass that was in the existing frame. I've had my new door for a few weeks now and it's not only as good as new but the glass they put in is of higher quality than I had before. Bottom line...I recommend them. They came through for me when I had an emergency and I appreciate that kind of customer service. read more

If you are looking for a company that pisses you off, this is it. The rude lady answering the phone has no manners. She promised to have one screendoor done by 11 am next day. I showed up and work was not done. Not even a "sorry" just an unacceptable explanation  "we had an emergency" "come back by 5 pm". What about my time? I asked my boss for permission to come and pick up my screen but it wasn't ready when promised. As I mentioned, I went to pick up my screen around 1130 am,I  was told to come back at 5 so I headed back to work. As I arrived to work at 1230, I get a phone call from the same rude vieja informing me that my screen is ready. Are you kidding me? I had just left her shop not more than 30 minutes ago. "The worker had just arrived and my screen was the first thing he did" she explained. Don't expect courtesy nor integrity from this shop. read more

Very odd experience with J & A. Had appointment to help with screen door. Called technician directly on his cell to confirm, he said "will be there in about 30 min." Did not arrive as promised in 30 so waited another 45 before calling again. No answer. Called home office, didn't know what happened but promised to call me asap when they reached the technician. Day later I called office, they said "he went on vacation." Of course sometimes unexpected things happen in life and people cannot make it as promised, but in this case the courtesy of a call as promised would have been the least they could do. So rude that they never bothered to reconnect with me to explain! This was my first experience with J & A and will be my last. read more

It's hard to explain all the ways in which doing business with this "company" went wrong. From the first moment I thought it was strange that they found me by contacting a relative that seems to be listed on some sort of database after a home fire. Then in time I realized I should have trusted that suspicious gut feeling because they proved not to be focused on providing any estimates or truly providing any immediate support. Yet they were just intent on confirming that I had insurance and that it was what they deemed a good policy that they could get to know and attempt to exploit. Not only has their estimate and billing process been untrustworthy, but they also involved other unscrupulous"professionals" who I found out were involved in litigation for their efforts to take advantage of other consumers and fire policy claims. In fairness some of the people they contract with do quality work, however any details or projects that are arranged by the project manager or project supervisor will need to be reviewed carefully and you will want to pay close attention to billing details. While certain parts will be advertised as cheaper or they will advertise the ability to do quick work, that is not what you'll get and the project is more likely to end in a headache. Save your time, money, and stress and consider another service provider. read more

Called as they were supposedly installers for dreamline showers enclosures. Jose gave a quote of $500 to install and even offered to purchase the unit, but next day the install price jumped to $3500 from $500...what a scammer. Would never recommend this place. All be careful. read more

We were so lucky to find them, the only certified dreamline shower enclosure installers in the area. The nice girl that takes the calls made sure to schedule us as soon as they were available. The work was done well, they were very careful and the system was a barndoor system and complicated, but they knew what they were doing. I just had the best experience from J and A Windows, starting from the friendly (not to mention knowledgable) young lady on the phone, to the timely men that appraised the job and quickly replaced the fixed panel on my front house window pane! Did I mention this is a holiday weekend? HOLIDAY WEEKEND!! I called far and wide for service and and JA windows were the only ones that would come to my rescue. AND not only that, but they connected me with several reputable construction company recommendations for other much needed repairs that we have put off for much too long. Not sure what bad day other reviewers were having, but I would not go to any one else. However, He did leave a mess in my backyard. SO, I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Do not go here. First of all, the girl answering the phones although sweet would be no one that I would entrust with my business. I was very skeptical after speaking with her. She could not answer my questions. Made an appointment anyway for today at 9 am. Called at 10:15 and said I could not wait anymore and would need to reschedule. Asked to be called. No one called. Horrible service! I received a quote for two business windows that broke, I responded to the email to move forward with the repair. Never happened, when I called I asked for the owner and he was rude and unprofessional. I will never deal with them again! Prices are very high also!! read more

I Give this Buisness a big 0 BEWARE BEWARE The owner Jose is a scam and Two Faced only when its his convenience he will seem nice ......do not trust this man or his wife Aracely I usually dont feel this way about anyone but this guy crossed the line very Deceitful he has Horrible customer service DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS !!!! he sells windows and doors and everything else he can think of we hired him for Concrete for our back yard and This man couldn't even figure it out ( starting with the drainage ) (the Level ) He dug out dirt for the drainage...Then he spread my dirt in the front of my house because he needed to dispose so he wouldnt pay extra fees ,he wasnt giving me the proper cement needed for the project ( so it would split in time and crack ),He damaged my property I can go on and on !!! He's BAD NEWS we gave him 2000 dollars and Thank God it was just that......... for basically nothing but sum material which we had to rebuy (pipes ) because he bought Sewer line pipes not water drainage ones we had to pay double for labor also ....... ugh!!!! The two faced part he said to our face he would cover and fairly would refund us which ended up not happening , Im so blessed to have my Father that had my back and was able to see all these issues before he dropped the cement . My Dad, he's in Construction aswell but I had decided to go with someone else that was available because he wasnt but now that This guy screwed us My DAD steped up without great pay!
