My lower panel that did not get installed or color no match
    Louie G.

I looked around for a corvette place or corvette specialist And came across this establishment . I was excited to get my cosmetic work done on the inside Of my 2001 C5... well I will not mention names but there are 2 older gentleman running that Business. When I was told we will have your car ready in 4-days.. Well that never happened and they could not match the color of my interior and left the inside worse.. They did install few items but they where pricy..$$$ And did not connect my tail light I am disappointed and wished I would have read on their reviews.. they need to learn how to use computers and Look for items from other companies or places...!

Nobody likes taking their car into the shop, especially if you have a Corvette. Thank goodness I found Noe at J&D. Been here twice now and the service and prices are unbeatable. First trip was for shocks and headlamps. Prices were almost 50% higher at a few other specialty shops. Second trip was for headlamp ballast and I didn't even bother shopping around. Now found me a used part at 1/2 the price of new and had me in and out in less than 90mins. I hope this is the last trip in a while, but they will get my business whenever i need service. Nice eye candy here while you wait too. The black C6 is mine.

Noe is the man! Everyone that works here knows their stuff! I've had numerous things done to my '81 vette. This is a photo of a brand new fiberglass front end put on. Exceptional work. I recently took it back for new vacuum hoses and Noe and the team pulled me aside and showed me I had a couple of really important other thing to consider first. I took their advice, replaced all bushing in front upper and lower control arms, tightened the steering up, and also replaced missing transmission mount bolts and bushings. The difference in the cars handling is 100% better. I had no idea. These guy are absolutely amazing. If you are thinking you could find somewhere else to go and you have a corvette - just stop, you found your shop!

I must say Frank over at J&D Corvette is a great service manager! He is very detail oriented and works hard to get you the best quality parts and service. Tony, the mechanic that worked on my car was one of a kind. He took the time to explain to me and physically show me every step that he would be taking to make the repairs that I requested. He even took the time to disassemble some parts to show me that I didn't need something done that I had requested to be done. That saved me a few hundred dollars. Honesty is a rare quality these days in the auto repair business! This is the only place I trust to put hands on this 69 Vette! Thanks J&D and have a Merry Christmas!! Steve M.

Highly recommended for Corvette service, especially for classics. Deep knowledge and parts available to keep any generation Corvette on the road where it belongs. Frank has been great and mechanic Tony Garcia was able to spot problems and repair issues on my vehicle that have gone unaddressed for 30+ years.

Here for new nameplate and replace door hinge on my 1986 Convertible Vette. Nice people and quick service! Been coming here for many years, recommend to all for good genuine parts and service

J&D, A name that has been around from the 1960s at the "Famous" Lions Drag Strip to now! True Corvette Roots! Maybe the oldest Corvette shop in the USA.

If the owner of this car trusts J&D with his baby, I figure, so can I. I see gorgeous cars in the lot every time I come here.

I took this car to this body shop twice for both upgrades; one for the bumper and lip and the other for the trunk and wing. Galaxy Auto Haus did a great job for all aspects of the upgrade, from paint matching to panel fitment. I really can't tell that the paint on the bumper, trunk, and body are not from the same painting run; the color match on these panels is that good. Pricing was pretty fair and Honorio was very meticulous when it came to getting all of the details right. If I have another kind of project for a car like this, I know that these guys will get it done right.

UPDATE: It's fascinating how some people can lie straight to…read moreyour face. I never said this job should cost only $200-$300. What I said was that it would take approximately 2-3 hours to respray a bumper that is already removed and disassembled, and that only requires scuffing with a Scotch-Brite pad to create proper adhesion before spraying. Second, your estimator attempted to upsell full respraying of both fenders on a practically new 2024 Mazda CX-5 for $1,600, so please don't claim the quote was based on the vehicle's condition or imply that it is in poor shape. The car is literally new. This is a classic upselling tactic--you wouldn't even fully respray the panels; you would blend them and increase your profit at an astronomical price. The bumper itself requires virtually no preparation and at most 6-7 coats with 5-minute flash times, so my 2-3 hour estimate was generous. At the midpoint, I stated that $100 would go toward materials such as paint and clear coat. That figure is based on what I can purchase it for myself, as I received several quotes. I am not buying in bulk or leveraging large volumes the way you do, so my estimate is not far from reality. It's a small bumper overall. As for spray booth time--you don't have one, and you would never rent one for a job this small. An important detail: I know how to paint and understand exactly how this work is done. Overall, I requested an online quote first and sent photos in advance. That request was dodged. Instead, I was pushed to come in person--so additional, unnecessary labor I never asked for could be "found" to justify the price. Lastly, I never said the bumper was painted twice. It was professionally painted, but the pearl component did not turn out to my liking. I came to your shop because you claimed you had matched this color before, yet your estimator was unable to name a single model you had matched it on. Nor did you provide any proof that you were capable of doing so. I don't mind paying extra for work that has already been done correctly, but after seeing these tactics and reading outright false statements, I'm glad I walked away. The "obstacles" your estimator tried to create included: 1. Searching for minor hairline scratches to justify repainting two additional panels on a new vehicle 2. Claiming shops don't like it when parts are already prepped or disassembled 3. Taking photos to point out alleged color differences between panels on a new car

I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.
