I recently had my 2000 C5 Convertible significantly serviced by J&D. They changed all the belts and hoses, water pump, new radiator, harmonic balancer, new clutch, brakes, oil pressure switch, A\C compressor, etc. etc. I cannot speak highly enough of Noe and his team. They did an EXCELLENT job! They identified a couple of bushings and bearings that were approaching their end of life, and since they already had the car torn apart, the additional cost was very minimal, and will save me money down the road. After the work was complete, I took the car on a 4000 mile road trip. I spent days in the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico with temps up to 115 degrees, then to Texas where the speed limit was for reference only - the car performed flawlessly. I had a fender bender in my new Vett. Nothing disastrous but of course everything is ugly when your baby gets hurt. So I took it to J& D to get it taken care of. They did a great job in about 5 weeks. They not only took care of the color match but also replaced my other headlight to be sure they matched correctly. I also had them take care of other areas on the car where the clear coat was fading. I'm very happy with the job they did. The car looks like new! I'm so very thankful for such a A1 Corvette Service and body shop. I have an 2013 Grand Sports Vette that I accidently brushed against a pole in my garage. I was devastated of course thinking my insurance will go up if I place a claim. If I pay cash the cost will be not what I want to deal with during the Christmas season. Took our wrecked '09 Corvette to Noe and not only was he willing to professionally examine the damage and provide a second opinion on repairing the car, but he was also willing to work around our financial restraints. Being working students, the initial estimate was definitely out of our budget, but Noe graciously offered alternative options. Now, understandably when mechanics offer you "alternative options", they usually refer to cutting corners and doing a shabby job. This was not the case with Noe; he continually kept my fiance and I in the loop with updates on the 'vette. We probably received 5-7 phone calls throughout the course of the job! He even sent us pictures of the progress, and since the entire job took almost 6 months, these pictures were a godsend. I've always wanted a Corvette, and for me the late model C4s are the smoothest-most beautifully-designed examples. When I recently came across a reasonably priced Polo Green RPO Z07 '94 Vette, I just had to have it! I knew a 20+ year-old vehicle was going to have some issues, and sure enough this car had numerous mechanical, electrical and cosmetic problems to iron out. We're fortunate to live in SoCal where there are many nearby "Corvette specialty shops" to support Corvette owners. My thorough research (by calling many shops, reviewing websites, studying Yelp and reading blogs) led me to trust the unbelievably experienced team at J&D. These folks have been working on Corvettes since 1958 - when I was a five year old!! Sure enough, my extensive research paid-off HUGE. These guys KNOW Corvettes, and they quickly figured out my car's problems and advised the best solutions. They work fast (partly because they seem to have every part IN STOCK) and price repairs very fairly. Noe in service was the BEST-ever automotive service adviser I have ever encountered... and if you do the math from my earlier comment, I'm an OLD guy who has owned many-many cars. Bottom line: If you have a Corvette - of any model year - and you need service/repairs, you cannot do better than entrusting your "baby" to these guys. I have only had J&D repair one thing on my 1996 CE LT4 so far but they did a great job and did not charge me. I was also gifted a couple of small hard to find parts and have purchased some parts from J&D. I have had a lot of issues with other Corvette shops and now perform most of my own work. That said, I might have to give these guys a try for all things service related in the future. They seem to be knowledgeable and have a very large pre-owned parts selection. I recently saw a restoration that they did and the car looked pretty nice. read more

Went to these guys for quite a while... always some kind of issue with them. They told me I had a thrown rod and needed my engine rebuilt. After having them do the job, I found out I could have gotten a brand new engine installed for cheaper than what they charged me. So, stopped going to them. Needed a quick repair, had the part I wanted them to install... Issues and bullshit with them trying to sell me the part I already had. Nothing worse than a mechanic you don't trust. Bad customer service, I called three times to speak about getting my 1972 Vette RESTORED and was on hold or sent to someones voice mail.. Beware!!! This place a complete rip off. I took my 06 vette here with 29 k mi to have a starter replaced. First of all they had my car for over a week and I had to call them to find out what the status was at which time they said oh we will be working on it tomorrow. After about a week and a half I was notified that my vehicle was ready. I went to get my car and immediately went to the beach to watch the sunset. After turning the ignition off I smelled coolant and upon raising the hood I discovered a leak coming from my water pump. I took it back to this aweful place and it was confirmed that the water pump was leaking. My contention was I didn't bring to them in that condition why am I receiving it in this condition and the only thing Noi could say "well things happen" and that'll be another $500.00 a few days later I got a call from Noi suggesting I replace the belts because coolant had spilled on it. I thought whatever I'm a grand into it now why not. After this repair I started my vehicle and smelled coolant, I made mention of it to Noi and the mechanic who claimed they didn't smell anything so I chalked it up to me not working around cars all day and maybe that's why they didn't smell it. A few days later I was on my way to get my hair cut on a nice Saturday morning and had great plans to cruise the city after dumping so much money into my vehicle. Upon reaching my destination my coolant warning came on indicating low coolant and I noticed the temperature was almost to over heating. Not wanting to further damage my vehicle I called NOI and informed him of my dilemma and my displeasure with the service I had been receiving from day 1. NOI sent a tow truck to tow my vehicle back to the shop much to dismay but what other choices did I have at the moment rt. well yeah you guessed it they found a leak in the radiator are you serious!!!!! A hairline crack in my radiator at this point no one had to tell me twice this place is a complete rip off. It is my opinion that they created these mishaps knowing they would do the repairs. Well wrong this time I politely went there got my keys topped off my coolant and brought my car home. They will "never" get a chance to touch my vehicle in this life Do yourself a favor and go to the dealer I know it's more but ur better off in the long run read more

My '72 was rear-ended and I shopped around for a place that knows fiberglass. Not easy these days. I ended up driving up from San Diego to check out the shop and saw a '69 that had been in the same type of accident. It looked great and that was what I needed to see. I couldn't even see where the repair had been made. They did a fantastic job on my car and even managed to match the Ontario Orange. I will go back to them for sure! read more

I was not 100% satisfied with the J&D after market stainless exhaust for my C5 but I left with the understanding I could bring it back if I was not totally happy. The quality of the manufacturing was poor and the four exhaust tips looked shoddy as they exited the rear of the car. I made an appointment with Noe to go over it and address these issues. I knew some were better than others because I had witnessed the installation of the same type of exhaust on another C5 two days before. I made an appointment with Noe to go over these issues and see if we could come to some sort of a resolution. Needless to say I was really disappointed when Noe stood me up. I waited at the shop for him for over three hours and he never showed up from a late lunch. What's worse he never bothered to contact me after that. I'm not a person who dogs people about quality and service. I'm a results person. I went to an excellent shop in Huntington Beach with super technicians and they essentially rebuilt my exhaust system. It cost me more but I am completely satisfied with it now. As For J&D, they will suffer what ever ill will and consequences this review will generate. read more
