Worst automotive shop I've ever had the misfortune of working with. After a week of no return calls or emails from this company I sent my college student to the shop to see what's going on. There she discovered that the shop has closed up and still has her keys so we cannot even take her car somewhere else. No emergency contact number left on the door! I don't recommend this place Mike told me he replaced my radiator hose come to find out the next day I got my car out his shop my receipt says new hose but when I checked it had only been taped up with black tape and the worse happen he didn't tighten my radiator hose to my engine which all my antifreeze fluid leaked out read more

I bought my first BM'r here at Mike's, they were and have been very accomodating of whatever situation I maybe in - they are very helpful in helping me find the car that suits me or my needs and getting my car repaired. Since 2010 or '11, I have purchased/maintained my Audi's and BM'r exclusively at Mike's shop . I admit, the cars I buy are older, but my policy is to never buy a car without the maintenance records, which Mike has on the cars I've purchased, but what I find myself really appreciating is the fact that Mike has many repeat customers who are having their repairs/maintenance done exclusively by Mike and then they trade up at Mike's as well - this gives me they confidence I need to make a purchase with peace of mind. I'll end with this, I wish I would have known about Mike sooner!! Their service is caring, thorough and they have competent staff, and most of all the integrity that I expect! I still own every car I bought here and can confidently pass my work car to my son who is graduating college this year knowing he has a rock solid A6 to be there for him as he starts his new career! read more

***ALERT*** NEVER buy from this "dealership". You're better off buying on Craigslist or from an actual dealership. I have nothing personal with the owner Mike, I'm simply posting about my experience. I bought a Ford Taurus SE from Mike back in October. I saw the car on CarGurus.com. I knew this car wasn't going to last me years but I thought it would be a good car to get me going until I could afford to get a brand new car. It had about 128,000 miles and looked good cosmetically. He assured me there was no transmission issues and I decided to purchase the car. Very quickly I felt the car become very "jerky". About a day or two after I bought it the check engine light went on. I took the car to Mike and he said they're was a minor vacuum leak but the car was fine. No transmission issues. A few hours later the check engine light went on again! I told him and he said "Just bring it in and we'll take a look." Well, what did you do that the first time?? He assured me there were no issues with the car. Check engine light came on again. After having the car about a month, if that, the car would shake while trying to start. It was very scary. This problem persisted and the car would shake and then not start. I would routinely sit in parking lots of 45 min at a time until the car would FINALLY start. I checked the battery cables, even replaced the battery. Then my car was parked outside of Fuzzy's Taco's in Fort Collins and the car wouldn't even budge. This was probably the 20th time my car had died in 3 months. (if that). I paid for a full warranty on this vehicle and he said "well come bring it in and we'll see what we can do." Mike was very unprofessional and seemed like a sleazy used car salesman trying to make a sale. Do the bare minimum to keep the car moving then have me back a week later to get it fixed. Just enough to make it out of The 3 month warranty period. I finally had enough and decided to salvage the car. The man who came to salvage the car was Doug Buck (970-412-8144). Once he came to get the car he saw who sold it to me, he was surprised because he knew Mike personally. He was a good friend of his. He said look instead of salvaging this car let's bring it to Mike so he could fix the car. I said absolutely NOT NO THANKS. He said that's fine and basically admitted that he was gonna bring the car to him so he could resell it! Clearly these two work together. Doug said that Mike's son had recently died in a car crash and that I should bare with his attitude and have some understanding. Well, I couldn't imagine how hard that must be..BUT IT DOESNT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO SCREW OVER SOMEONE ELSES SON FOR 2700 dollars! PLEASE read my review and NEVER buy from this business. Poor customer service, poor vehicles, horrible experience. If you're like me, money doesn't grow on trees. Be smart about where you get a vehicle from. Look for a quality IN HOUSE WARRANTY. Have a mechanic look at it. Don't buy from Mike who preys on people who are low on money and flips salvaged, crappy cars. I'm just a young man who's trying to make it in this world and he set me back BIG TIME. Shame on you Mike! Thankfully, my Dad (who actually has integrity, a REAL man) bought me a new reliable car. J&M Precision Automotive - Do Not Buy this car! He will try to resell it to you! - Auto Repair Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

I purchased a used vehicle from them this weekend. During our conversations, the owner told me that the timing belt was brand new and this is what made my decision to purchase the vehicle. I drove from Denver to Ft. Collins to get this ride. When I arrive the car hasn't been cleaned, washed, and the gas was on E. I'm not a difficult client, so we haggle a bit and I take home the car. I drove it less than 75 miles and the check engine light comes on - it's going to be a 1200$ fix - due to having a failed catalytic converter. I call them up and suddenly the owner says "I would never say that it has a brand new timing belt, I know better than that." These guys are the representation of a sheisty used car dealer - this vehicle is great, but this experience leaves much to be desired. read more

We have done business with J&M with a series of Audi and BMW cars. They know German cars well, and their service is competent and thorough. They are not the cheapest place in town, as they use OEM parts and are usually quite thorough; however, they're a lot less expensive than a dealer. I do a lot of the service and repair on our cars, and have done so for 30+ years so I understand cars well. We use them for all our service when the job is too big for me or I simply don't have time to do it. I trust their work, and I think some of the other reviews reflect a lack of experience with cars. (A complaint about parts that break more than 10,000 miles later is hardly rational or credible.) I don't do business with mechanical shops that don't know their stuff; J&M knows their stuff. You can take your car there. We also bought a BMW 325i through J&M; it was an easy and graceful process, and the car was a superb performer. They did a thorough inspection before the sale and we were very happy with them. read more

As with any pre-owned auto dealership, the buyer should ALWAYS have an independent mechanic inspect the vehicle BEFORE buying. This is particularly important with J&M. (they didn't get the nickname Junk & More for no reason!) Been by the dealership 10 times in the past 6 months to buy a car they had on the lot. NONE of the 10 were up to snuff! They ALL had something wrong with them to be fixed prior to purchase. They guys working there did say they'd have the work done.... Yeah, right! You should put tires and brakes on a car BEFORE trying to sell it not after! What business school did you graduate from? DUH. WTF. Tired of these used car business trying to look like a "high end" or "high quality" dealer selling "nice" vehicles, when they in fact are not. I was in a jam in November 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. Against my better judgment purchased a crossover Japanese style vehicle from Mike for my daughter. He said it was a deal at just over $5K. It also had over 110K miles on the odometer to be fair. My daughter said the vehicle was shaking when it accelerated from a stopped position. We took it back to Mike in January of 2021. He said there was nothing wrong with it. The weekend of the snowstorm of March 2021 the vehicle stalled on my daughter in a busy intersection. I had to come pick her up. Luckily no accident occurred or worse. I had the vehicle towed the respective local dealership they said the vehicle would need over $4K worth of repair and parts. I gave Mike a copy of the repair estimate and he hasn't given me a bid for repair yet. Let's see if he offers to fix the lemon he sold me. read more

I was recently looking for a cheaper car to get me around town. I came here to check out an Audi Q5 that was more than I wanted to spend, and instead of pushing that one, Shannon actually showed me an older (04) BMW that was half what I was looking to spend. Unlike other dealers that only seem interested in up selling, here they push quality and customer satisfaction. 3 months later, the Beamer is still running strong, no issues whatsoever. Their are many mechanics in Fort Collins and that is fact, but for me I will always pick J&M they have been my mother's mechanic for over ten years and now that I have my mothers car they're my mechanics too and I think they do a wonderful job always taking care of my vehicle, I feel very confident in their quality of work and knowledge and I would recommend them to anyone that is having car troubles, I trust these folks they respect me to the fullest and they always listen to me and how I'm feeling about what's wrong with my vehicle and that to me is customer service thank you J&M!! read more

I have been to many repair shops with my Saab. Most of the problems it has are actually caused by the repair shop. Recently my windshield wipers were obstructed by heavy snow and would no longer return to the park position. Another business charged me $100 to look at the problem and in the process ruined my battery. They decided it would cost around $380 to fix the windshield wipers. After waiting for 3 weeks for them to fix the problem I said forget it and called J & M precision automotive. Two people I work with independently recommended them to me. I called and had an appointment right away. They fixed my wipers in under 30 minutes and it cost only $73.50!!! I am also getting another battery since mine is now weak. I will now bring my Saab to this place for scheduled maintenance, oil changes and other repairs. Everyone was very helpful and straightforward. I like to be informed and ask lots of questions and they were not put off by this. If you are sick of being taken advantage of my other repair shops I advice you to try J & M Precision! read more

I have never been so disappointed in a car repair shop. Went because it was a recommendation of a friend received terrible customer service they over charged me when getting a new water pump and thermostat. They knicked the line in the power steering and they wouldn't take credit. The parts then failed not even 20,000 miles later and after trying to get them to email me the part numbers so I could take it to another mechanic they were rude and never sent the email. My primary dealings were with Mike the head mechanic. WOULD NEVER EVEN DREAM OF TAKING MY CAR BACK!!! read more

Who trusts auto mechanics these "daze," right? Many don't even have a go-to shop they, well, go to. When J & M fixed the check engine light on our 2000 Mercedes E320 4Matic wagon, Mike warned me these things were tricky. It came on again, and instead of taking me (and my wallet) on a joy ride, Mike advised me not to worry about it. "How will I know when something's wrong?" I asked. "Oh, you'll know," he said with a smile. He was right: I have. Since then, J & M has serviced my family's 2001 New Beetle and salvaged our 1997 Mercedes E320 sedan with a cracked engine block. They even worked on the 1993 Pontiac Sunbird my daughters inherited from their Aunt Sue when they specialize in German imports! I have been doing business with Mike and Perry and all the guys at J&M since 1999. I have purchased at least four cars from J&M and have been more than satisfied with the price and the reliability of these cars, even though some were older models - starter cars for my teenage kids. I always take my foreign made cars there for service (I happen to like BMW's and Mercedes Benz), and I have my children's domestic cars serviced there as well. Their prices are fair, the service turnaround is timely, they are super friendly and knowledgeable, and after all these years... I TRUST THEM! That's huge when it comes to auto sales and repair. Horrible!!! I went in on a Friday and test drove a car, decided to purchase it. I filled out the financing paperwork and told them I wanted to get it checked out by my mechanic as soon as I told them that, was told id have to come back Monday because they were closing early. Set an appointment for Monday morning to get the car checked out. Come Monday morning no one was there to let me take the car. Had to cancel the appointment and was told that Mile MIGHT be in around 1 but he'd call me. I had to work so wasn't able to go in that afternoon. Told them my situation, then I get a call telling me they sold the car. Asked why they did that and that I would've bought the car on Friday! They told me and I quote "yeah after you took it to your mechanic, mechanic's tend to talk you out of deals." ONLY IF SOMETHINGS WRONG AND YOURE NOT BEING HONEST! I've never seen anything like this.
