Communication, coordination, and onsite logistics were streamlined and seamless. In addition, the banquet staff were seasoned and professional. It was a pleasure to collaborate with all of the staff. Big shout out to Patty and Meghan for the on point and smooth transitions throughout the whole event. I will absolutely host another event at the venue. I had actually avoided this restaurant due to the numerous bad reviews. I am so sorry I did! Because I have had one of the better meals in my area in a long time. And all without having to travel to Worcester! We started off with clam chowder to share. This is usually how we judge a restaurant right off the bat, lol. They didn't disappoint. Definitely needed a little salt and pepper, but that would be to your liking anyway. I had the baked stuffed shrimp and my husband had the prime rib. Amazing. My husband, who is a steak and prime rib snob, commented that the steak was perfectly rare. The au jus was a little sweet and different, but in a good way! He said it was very unique and liked it better than your average. I would definitely, definitely recommend the baked stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were quite large and was perfectly made. They did come out with the wrong sides, which is why the last star is missing. But other than that, service was impeccable and timely, the setting was casual and fun with keno screens lining the wall and the food was your typical American fare. I will definitely be going back for the Alfredo! This may become our date night staple since it's only a couple miles down the road from us and the prices are right compared to Worcester and Boston. Lots of tables and bar area seating and a big parking lot that is always packed! Our food was mediocre. The reuben sandwich was terrible with thick cut corned beef and no flavor with French fries that were just heated up frozen bag kind. My French onion soup was meh - the broth had almost no flavor. The Big Mac flatbread was good but hard to eat. The kids chicken parm stole the show and was huge. The chocolate bomb cake was just ok and the carrot cake was extremely dry. Service was slow even though we came during a slow time and prices are high for normal entrees. Too many better options around... maybe dinner is better but we probably won't be back. read more

Came here on a whim on the way home from a funeral. The parking lot was PACKED, so I hoped it would be decent. Our table ordered the amore burger, fish and chips, and fettuccine Alfredo. Everything was great. The only complaint I had was the fries were very greasy, it looked like the oil needed to be changed. Our waitress was lovely and the place was HOPPING for a Wednesday night. I was not in the mood to cook, and coming here was a great idea! The parking lot appeared packed, but there was enough room and table space inside that my son and I didn't have to wait very long to be seated. Our server was prompt and attentive. The Big Mak Flatbread was very delicious and set the stage for taking home half my Wicked Large Lasagna. Unfortunately, the portion sizes did not leave room for dessert, so maybe next time ... Stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday. Seated immediately and server brought over a bowl of popcorn and took our drink orders. We both ordered cheeseburgers and they came out perfectly cooked. The beef was very juicy and the burger itself was huge (1/2 pound). It was the last day of the football season leading up to the playoffs offs so there was a game on every tv. People were cheering for their team and having a nice time. The renovations are nice and there is plenty of parking. read more

We stopped in for lunch, it was our first time visiting. We were very happy with everything. We had a Reuben Sandwich with French Fries and a Hamburger with Onion Rings. The food was very good- the Reuben was loaded with corned beef. And I loved that the bread is extra toasted so it doesn't get soggy. The burger was perfectly cooked. Fries and Onion Rings were delicious. There was plenty of food for the price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our server was excellent. I visited Anthony's last night with a friend for dinner. Our server greeted us and was very nice and calmly waited for us to order as we hadn't seen each other in a while and were catching up. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer to share. The portion was huge! 3 big meatballs and they were delicious. I followed up with the lasagna which half came home with me.... Again very tasty! we did have a large party of 10 but when we started arriving we got seated in two separate areas unbeknownst to each other. after fixing that we had to cash out from one waitress and started over at one table. I ordered the calamari which came out quickly, I thought they were onion rings because they were so large but the smell gave them away. they were actually inedible as they were so chewy, the worst I had ever had. The drinks we good and the service was great the rest of the meal was fair. My comrades didn't have any complaints. I don't think that I would go back again, just my opinion. read more

Good service and decent food with extremely high prices. They price their food like a gourmet Italian restaurant but have very underwelming decor. No good on the menu besides a soup or side salad was under $15. I had the $15 meatball sub which tasted ok, pretty much what you'd get at a sandwich shop. I have been to J Anthony's many times. Tonight I got the Very Berry Salad. It was delicious! It had strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries. It also had candied pecans and goat cheese. The goat cheese was smooth, creamy and mildly sweet. It was on top of a spinach and arugula mix. The dressing was a raspberry vinaigrette, it seemed like it was made in house. It was very good. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. We went early, we got there right around 5pm. We recently had our mother's mercy dinner here. They did not tell us ahead of time that if you pay with a card they charge an additional $85 processing fee on top of the 20% gratuity included. When spending over $2500 for the meals this is completely unacceptable and should be illegal. Most people do not walk around with $3000 in their pocket. We will never have a function here again. Seafood Provencale was a joke. "Market Price" dictated $25 for a plate of linguine over bland tomato sauce which tasted canned, with mussels shrimp and clams. The dish had too many mussels. It over compensated for a lack of shrimp and maybe one clam. Some of the mussels being inedible. I didn't finish it. The calamari was not good either. No baby squid. We chose this place off the Worcester Restaurant week list. Three course meal for $28.99, seemed like a good deal and it was. The place is huge, two square bars and seating in one bar area that is "seat yourself" and the other side wait to be seated. We chose the sat yourself, as there was no wait. Waitress came right over and cleaned table for us and gave us menu's. She was very nice and pleasant. They had multiple specialty drinks and a large selection of draft beers. They even had a specialty shareable drink that was huge. We ordered a Cesar salad and Buffalo Wings as appetizers. Good salad, but I like croutons and would have liked more. The wings were very good. Not to hot and ten wings as an appetizer. We both had the steak tips over mushroom risotto. Risotto was perfectly cook and surprisingly the steak tips were both done as ordered. Place was not crowded so seated ourselves quickly. Atmosphere is typical bar scene dark and cold. Although friendly the waitress was slow and service halfhearted. The salad bar was fair, did have a decent selection of items. Prices were average for type of items. I ordered from the menu got the Rueben and fries. It was okay but had to constantly ask for items such as ketchup, drink refills, knife fork and napkins etc. that is when we could attract our waitress. My spouse just got the salad bar. (I can't remember which day, I'm pretty sure it's either Friday or Saturday nights) Every time I drive by this place the parking lot is always full. So people are clearly going there often. I suggest the mozzarella triangles as an appetizer, they're amazing. I always get the chicken tenders with a side of fries and mashed potatoes for an entree when I come here, so I haven't really explored the menu, but the stuff I have had is really good! If you get there around dinner time be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for a table, but it's worth it. read more

We're chatty Cathy's so I'm sure we were annoying with her having to keep coming back cause we hadn't decided. We ordered drinks. They were great. Two glasses of wine and a sangria and margarita. We ordered nachos- with the chili on the side BTW- not my choice. Nachos were fine but the chili is FIIIIRE. So good. When I go back I will definitely be ordering a bowl. Friend one got French onion soup and a Caesar side salad. She liked the soup but had better. Too much soggy bread. Side salad was huge and good. Friend number two got the butternut squash meal special. Plate empty. She loved it. Friend three got the fried butternut squash appetizer. She liked it a lot. Plate finished. I got the Gorgonzola steak tips pasta and it was delightful. Also the portion is HUGE. Definitely a meal and a next day work lunch. One recommendation is to order the steak a little more cooked than you would for an actual steak. I usually order medium and the meat was too smooshy for the texture of the pasta. My fault not theirs. I would have LOVED it if it was well done. Place is cool and fun. They have TVs playing sports. (GO SPORTS TEAMS!) Staff is so so sweet. Went in for a quick dinner with my older sons as we were moving all day n famished. I left in tears from pure frustration from the utter n sheer disregard & disrespect my children had to witness from a very unprofessional , senior server , as I'm sure she's been in the industry for a while. My brother arrived to the meal after we received our burgers , Jen our server who was also training n doing a horrible job never came back to do a 2 minute check , to see how our food was n I clearly had a problem because my 3rd burger was med rare . She rolled her eyes walked around me n still proceeded to serve my children who are sitting at the table bewildered saying DO YOU NOT HEAR MY MOM SHE SAID WE DONT WANT THOSE .
