This was our first trip here and there were a few concerns. The order took a while to arrive from the kitchen and it makes me think it might have sat in the window too long. When the food arrived, we had to send two things back due to being cold. Also, the omelette I ordered was mixed up and the wrong omelette was mistakenly delivered to the table. It wasn't too bad, so I just kept it. Once the food was at proper temp, it was pretty good....other than the biscuit gravy. It was quite bland and tasteless. I will say, Maria our server, was great with everything and very accommodating. They comped the food that was cold and also my omelette that was mixed up, so they did make every effort to make good on the issues. We'll give them another shot with the hopes that this was an isolated thing. Overall, not bad, just some food quality issues that should be addressed. read more

Our first time here. Like most families, eggs are main themes of breakfasts. Here we had eggs Benedict, eggs Christopher and huevos avocados. Eggs were overlooked and I think they were boiled instead of pan fried. English muffin were cold when served. Size of dish was not as large as showed on some of the pix posted here. The good: The restaurant is bright and clean. The server was attentive and friendly. She quickly tried to make up for what wasn't good. The bad: I was debating between two items on the menu. I decided to get the biscuits and gravy as the server said it was one of the most popular items. If this is what is the usual sausage gravy I don't know how it is popular. The gravy was a thick pasty glue-like substance with no flavor. The potatoes were completely dry. I prefer hash browns instead of cubed potatoes, but wouldn't mind so much if they're cooked properly. My son had Eggs Benedict. He had the same complaint about the potatoes and didn't like their hollandaise sauce. Eggs Benedict is his favorite breakfast dish, but not here. They did try to make up for tiny giving a coupon for a free meal. I always appreciate that effort. I'm not sure if it will ever be used, though. read more

I tried the seasonal pumpkin pancakes with pecans, whipped cream & cinnamon which were amazing! My husband had 'the traditional', which he loved as well,with the exception of the side of hash. This place is a bit of a mystery. Food is very good! The folks here are nice and service is typically very fast. Yet, during the week, the place is about half full at best! The weekends are crazy but during the week things are slower so it's a great place to meet and eat. The music can be a bit distracting- they seem to play some of the consistently worst playlists ever and the acoustics cause it to bounce around a long while. It may be hard for a large group of 6 or more to talk here but it's great for a biz meeting and there won't likely be a wait. And the food is tasty! read more

So it's my for time visiting J. Christopher's and it did not disappoint! I had the Route 66 which is Corned Beef over perfectly seasoned potatoes and I topped it with a scramble egg (you can have your egg anyway you like) & an English muffin. It was delicious. My Friend had the Urban Cowboy which is a 3 egg omelette stuffed with sautéed mushrooms and the most tender pot roast you can eat and it comes with those deliciously seasoned potatoes. He opted for a Belgian waffle instead of bread. We split the waffle which was big and fluffy & tons of butter and powdered sugar. So needless to say the meal was great, our server was attentive and who doesn't like a pot of coffee at the table so you don't have to ask for a refill! The check was also quite reasonable $30 with tax. I will definitely keep this place in my Favs when I'm visiting Franklin, TN. read more

I am saddened to give a 3 star rating because JC was the place to be for breakfast! However I feel that their quality has come down some bit. The breakfast is not BAD but it is not what it used to be. Perfect example is their breakfast potatoes, they were scrumptious before but now it feels as if they just throw some powdered seasoning and don't crisp them at all. I write this after various tries. Apparently the menu has changed since most of the reviews on here were done. Caveat is don't go on Sunday, the parking is horrible, but you can park at the bank across the street and walk over.
