READER PLEASE BEWARE!!!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE A CAR FROM THESE SNAKE OIL SALESMAN AND ALLEY MECHANICS!!! They sold me a 2010 Nissan Altima for $9k with $5k in interest. $14k total. They said my down payment wa only $500 only to later find out they just deferred $1500 from a $2000 down payment onto my monthly payments. Which of course they did not tell me. I have had problems with this car since the day i pulled off from the lot. the only thing that has saved me is the fact that I'm a certified mechanic and I can catch everytime they lie. The day of the sale the car had a coolant leak right in the parking lot already. The car was never even serviced before they sold it. They said they would fix it for free if i came back. I went back a week later and they said they fixed it right after i dropped it off. I was surprised at the turn around time only later to find out they cut into the top of my radiator housing to try and reattach a hose to the radiator. they were too lazy to do it the right way so they just cut an opening to reach down and attach the hose. 2 weeks later the leak returned and i find out they "rigged" the hose to a broken radiator inlet. I called them and embarrassed the manager to the point where he paid for my car to be towed to the shop and they FINALLY replaced my radiator, and told me they replaced the hoses as well. They did not replace the hoses only the radiator. The next time I had work done by these con artists they replaced my alternator and then left my A/C compressor unplugged. They then tried to convince me to bring the car in for a $100 recharge and leak test. After finding my A/C compressor was unplugged i plugged it back up and now everything is working fine. But wait there is more, they sold me a car with the wrong key. the valet key i have cut for my car does not go to this car and they told me its not our fault and that since " I didn't use my key enough the lock cylinder froze" as there way of not being liable for the key. The old key is still stuck in the dashboard and they were too lazy and cheap to remove the panel cover and retreI've the key. They left it there and just programmed a new key fob and never cut a new key. I had another certified shop confirm that my lock cylinder is working fine and they are just too cheap and unprofessional to admit when they are wrong. I currently have an open small claims case against this company and I encourage any and everyone who has ever been slapped in the face by this company to do the same. If you have already been conned into purchasing from these people please take it from a certified licensed mechanic, DO NOT GET ANY REPAIR WORK DONE HERE!! They offer cheap oil changes because they use low quality unbranded oil. I guarantee if your take your car to these people you will be back before you know it for a separate issue. They will sabotage something on or under your car just to get you back into the shop. I feel sorry for the customers that have to deal with this dealership. They are no better than pure alley mechanics. I have more faith in the Jiffy Lube techs down the street than I do for these people. I especially feel sorry for the so called "Managers" they have working here. They don't get paid enough to care about the business or the actual customers. They purchase beat up rundown cars, wash them up shiny, and then pawn them off to the public. read more

Christian was great! He worked hard to make sure I got the vehicle I wanted. That being said, less than 36hrs of purchasing the vehicle my car wouldn't start. I speak with the manager and he laughs it's off. Tries to throw the blame on me and insinuates I left something on and then blames it on the cold weather. Not understanding my frustrations at all. This place is so unprofessional and very rude. My boyfriend is dealing with a bunch of yahoos about being slightly late on a car payment and they give him no options or try to work with him. One of the "account managers" sent a very unprofessional email to him and from there on, delt with him demanding a face to face tomorrow and asking "what time will I expect you". First off we are out of town for a week and this man doesn't care and thinks we can just fly back like a snap of a finger. If I could give a negative 0 I would. Don't ever buy a car from these people! My roommate and I both purchased a car from them, and both cars have had major mechanical issues. My roommate's engine seized the first time, and service supposedly put in a new engine. Two months later the same thing happened. Again, they supposedly put in a new, zero mileage engine. The engine and oil lights were still on so we took the van to a Kia Dealership to run a diagnostic. We were told that the engine is fried and will cost $7000 to replace. They said there is no way JD Byrider put in a new engine. So now, my roommate still has no vehicle, and can't work because he has no car. JD Byrider is unwilling to do anything to correct the situation, but they sure want their payment. They said the van was ready on the day his payment was due, and stated he would have to make his payment before he could pick up the van. He made the payment and for what? They van still doesn't run! The positive reviews you see from happy customers are fake. They have the customer do the review from their cell phone or from the dealership's computer before you even drive off the lot with your car. They give an extra $50 off if you do it. Talk to those same people now and I'm sure they're singing a different tune. I have already begun the process of filing my lawsuit, and if they don't do something to fix my roommate's van, he will be filing a lawsuit as well. read more

I purchased a car from then in June 2018, it lasted 3 full months until the engine blew, after 10 weeks of it being repaired, my catalytic converter went out and my axel seal broke. The car was not safe to drive at all. Not only did they have the unicorn car I searched everywhere for they held it for me. When I came to purchase everyone was really nice and explained everything so clearly. We bought a car from JD Ryder in West Dundee in December 2018. The sales process was very unprofessional and agonizing. The sales person sat at their desk with their shoes off the entire time we were there and texted on their phone during the process. We sat there for hours and even had to come back another day because the financing department kept printing out the paperwork for a different care that we were not even buying. The sales person also continues to text my cell phone very unprofessionally buy just saying "Hey!" They keep trying to sell me another car and don't even realize we already just bought one. The finance department is so screwed up and rude its ridiculous. When the plates came in they gave me plates to another car. Not the one we purchased. Also, our payment schedule is for every two weeks and they have taken the car payment out of my bank account every week thus far for the month of February and not even the right amounts (higher actually.) which has caused my bank account to have issues because we plan for the payments on the date of our schedule that they provided. I went over my sisters house and she was one of my references and she shows me a letter from them. The solicited her to come in and buy a car without my name being on it. They gave me referral cards for people to come and I would get a bonus. How in the world could I get a referral when they asked me for pretty much everyone I know. I am writing this review so people can see that this place is a scam. They take advantage of people with no credit/bad credit. They jack up the interest rate and sell cars that supposedly go through inspections, (which they don't), and sell these cars out. The cars that they are selling need so much work to be done that the cars are in and out of the shop. For instance, I have had my car in this shop more than I have driven it. I have had the car about 1 1/2 years and it's been in the shop over and over. Then I take the vehicle in to be fixed and the mechanics there are not mechanics. They don't even fix what needs to be fixed, or they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle. I had the car a year and the head gaskets were leaking oil. So they replaced my entire engine, (which was covered under my warranty). Its not a new engine, it's a refurbished one. Now, the same thing has happened with this engine and they will not replace it. Well "Brad" said it's not worth replacing it bc it is not a leak, it's just a seepage not a leak. Which we all know it's a leak. I have taken the vehicle two good year and Acorn Tires and they both said it's a leak. Brad is making it sound like it's his personal opinion that will distinguish if they are going to replace my engine again or not, and that is not right. I have it covered under my warranty. They gave me the run around for weeks for them to find the leak in the first place, or my head gaskets and the trans leak. The head gaskets are a visual and they wouldn't tell me if they were leaking. They made me bring the car back a couple of times for them to check it. I had a problem with my air conditioner and heating, and they took our the free-on and put it back it in and when they put it back in, they didn't put the right amount back in because its expensive and they tried to save money. This is what good year told me when I brought it to them and that is why I was getting to cool air coming out bc they messed up or did it on purpose there. So now they are not applying to my warranty I purchased with the vehicle, they won't help and fix what needs to be fixed and on top of it, the sales manager can't help me either, he told me. There is nothing he can do, bc he doesn't work for the service center. It's been one thing after another with this company. They sold me a car that had an aftermarket alarm on it and they did not know of it being installed on the vehicle. Now if the cars go through an inspection, they should have known about it before selling it to me. I never got an alarm pad for the car or anything bc they did not know it was on it. When I took it to good year bc my radio and heat would stay on when I turned the car off and took the keys out, (which was draining my battery), they told me that's bc of this alarm and they had to disarm it and it cost 150 for them to do that. Plus on top the alarm had fried 12 wires underneath the dash bc of the way the alarm was wired in it, and the car was about to start on fire. Also when they do any type of work on the vehicle, they will not give me paper work showing what they have done or that needs to be done or anything of that sort, so in some instances I have no paper work to show what they attempted to do or did. This vehicle could have started on fire and killed me and my children. I am going to channel 5 news and I will be calling a lawyer if the higher up Manager "Bob Hart" says he will not replace my engine again due to my head gaskets leaking. I would never refer anyone to this company, and I hope people will read this before they choose to buy a car from here. Place is a scam. Brad also said I wouldn't be surprised if your keys went missing to me! Bad customer service. The whole time that they kept giving me the run around with my check engine light, my car broke down yesterday 6/5/16 and the transmission blue and they said they could never find anything wrong with the car and its only my gas cap.
