This is a follow up review. When Jesse came and relocated the bees for us, he told us there would some straggler bees who would stay till they decided to go back to their place of origin or died( granted we were hoping for the first option). I was super concerned about the bees reconstructing a hive or just choosing to stay in our garage. Jesse was kind enough to return and spray some deterrent on the outside to give the bees some deterrence and answering any questions/concerns I had. In late March I saw a lot of bees swarm inside my house's attic. I realized it has a beehive in there. I Google searched to find a bee remover company to take it out. I found sever companies. We recently had some bees start a hive right by our front door that seemed to explode over the course of a day. Jesse came over within the day and had the bees removed. I am aware that bees are almost sacred right now, but I am highly allergic and can't have them right outside my back door. I called Jesse and he came right out the next day (a Sunday)! Another place I saw on Yelp said that they did live bee removal but when arrived to do an estimate, the guys told me that they would have to exterminate these. So glad that Jesse told me that killing the bees wouldn't be necessary. He was very careful to find the hive before he opened up our stucco column. He used both an infrared sensor and a camera to find them. He used an organic spray to get them to leave the hive they were starting, found the queen and got them to follow her to a bee box--all barehanded and in shorts and a t-shirt! I e-mailed JR Bees on a Sunday morning regarding a basketball sized swarm of honey bees that had decided to take up residence in a tree in my small front yard. I immediately received a phone call from Jesse. He arranged to come the same day, and arrived at the time he estimated. He and a fellow worker were obviously very comfortable around bees. They climbed a ladder and shook out the ball of bees from the tree into a box, then gave the agitated, flying strays a chance to come join the rest of the hive in the box. I called Jesse over the weekend and explained to him the issue I have related to honey bees, I explained to him in great detail with the situation was. That the honeybees were in my exhaust system. And it was not easy access. He quoted me over the phone they would be anywhere from USD200-USD400. I was pretty comfortable with that price and set up an appointment. The only good thing I can say about Jesse is that he showed up on time. With I believe his brother. However, it went bad from their I showed him the location. He climbed up on his ladder to take a survey and determine that they were still honeybees making access to my exhaust system. He later wanted to get into my house to check for access by way of the attic. I showed him the access point. He later left to go get a ladder or step ladder in order to gain access to the attic area. Somehow I explained to me at the returning that he broke off the key and was unable to get his ladder. I understood that, but then he quoted me a price between 600 and USD700. You could imagine the shock that was on my face when he originally quoted me between USD200-USD400 if I remember correctly. I cannot understand why he thought that he could charge a consumer seven to USD800 for the removal it made absolutely no sense. When he had previously quoted 200 to 400. This was totally insane for him to have a complete reversal and almost double the cost for his services. I told him that I would think about it. And then he later explained to me that it was very detailed work. That he would be doing live recovery, he would have to also make sure that the area was completely covered to prevent the spread of the honeybees. His price was totally insane and for anyone that is giving him positive comments. It must be because they were not up sales as he attempted to do with me. The end result was I did not get his services. He did suggest several ways extermination or he had a referral for me for someone that could do extermination. Totally not what I was looking for. I was not looking for extermination. Or to be charged and excessive price for his services. I called around and I finally got a hold of a honeybee live removal group who were very professional responded on time as scheduled, 8:00 AM and the cost was USD400. I cannot understand why Jesse wanted at least double that amount. I gave him a one star but this should be something to give him a zero*. How he came up with an excessive price which was double the amount that he previously quoted me over the phone was insane. I'm not sure whether not his prices is based on the square footage of the house or the individual customer. I felt like I was being profiled and I felt offended by the price that he was offering to do a such a simple job. In later to find out the job could been completed for USD400. In my view, he should be taken off any list of being outstanding service. Anyone had given him five stars was Eva one paid to do that or to he did not charge them and excessive price for the services rendered. I may sound somewhat frustrated but to know that someone would take advantage of you or make some attempt to profile will base their price on the resident square footage of the house or the individual himself. I wish I could understand his pricing. Although he explained to me, but it made absolutely no sense. How he explained it to me in considering I hired Russ live be removal company for half the price he quoted me. I would say and I would highly recommend Russ be removal family owned and operated since 1985 is a great choice for removal at a price that is not excessively, and I did not get the impression that Russ was profiling or making a price based upon the residents. I would highly recommend not utilizing JR BEES live lhoneybee removal based on their business practices and pricing. USD800 is insane. In the find out the job can be done by someone other than JR bee removal for half the price. Jesse was no way reasonable in his price. His estimates are way overpriced for his services offered. read more

Jesse is terrific! I called him to come relocate a hive below our Trex deck. He arrived at the appointed time, and spent about 45 minutes here, working on removing our stripped-screw deck boards (in his bee suit, while members of the angry hive surrounded him). After examining the hive and their behavior, he determined them to be Africanized ("killer bees"). Sadly, killer bees can't be reintroduced into "normal" bee society, meaning our hive will have to be destroyed. :( After we commiserated about not being able to save the hive, he recommended a local, small-business guy who's coming out tomorrow to assess the situation (I'll post a review of his business once the work's been done). After all of that time and effort here, Jesse declined to charge any fee, saying we could put our costs toward the actual hive removal. Who does that?! I would have expected -- and happily paid -- a service fee, or to reimburse him some amount for his time and effort.
