Not even covering the fact that the employee was operating on another employee's cashier account, ran up order wrong, couldn't even handle the refund adjustment so he tried to hand me "cash equivalent" from his own pocket until he got another employee on the phone to supposed refund the entire transaction. I don't know why Jack in the Box gets such a bad wrap. Yeah.. they have some weird food like their deep fried tacos, but there's a market for that. And sometimes I think some people have Yelp accounts just so they can complain. I go to this Jack in the Box often. Not because I love Jack in the Box, but because it's the only drive through in this part of town. The next closest is yet another Jack in the Box. They have breakfast around the clock and it's usually pretty good. Can't go wrong with curly fries and the drinks are HUGE and ice cold. I actually love their burgers. They're so much better than McDonald's or In-n-Out and if you fill out a survey on your receipt, you get a free burger on your next trip. My only real complaint is the place is a little run down, but it's old. I think it's been here in this gas station for about 15 years at least. And the workers are pretty typical for fast food workers. One time I ordered curly fries and they gave me regular fries. I said, "I ordered curly fries" and the lady had the nerve to argue with me by saying, "well, it says regular fries here on the screen." LOL! Come on. read more

So im rating this jack in the box 5 stars because of the fact that it's close to us and because the manager Walter helped us out in a situation so I accidentally placed my order on the wrong Valley Road location and upon pick up o asked if my order was ready and they couldn't find it. Walter nicely asked if I had placed the order on the wrong location and I surely did. Nonetheless he gladly told me he would call the location cancel the order there and promptly make it for us. Came to have Jack's as I was craving the tiny tacos and yes not the healthest option but hey once in a while. Arrived and was glad the dine in area was open to chow inside. The ones in my area are only carry-out/drive thru. When I approached the counter, there was the lady who preps the food singing in Spanish and then a guy emerged from the drive thru. He acknowledged me as he was getting the beverages and informed me he would be with me shortly. While I was waiting, a nice lady was mopping the restrooms and dining area. Since I had my critters with me, I made them sure I escorted them safely to the booth. Food arrived within 10 minutes and guy apologized for the wait and thanked me. Highly recommend and please don't knock fast food joints or workers. We are all trying in these times. read more

For the burger combo, which I used to pay a little over $6 four years ago, now cost almost $12. For four years, the price almost doubled. Now I am not blaming Jack in the box. I understand that they have to survive. But this is simply ridiculous. And I am sure that $20 minimum pay increase in California played a major role in this issue. read more

It's a good pick for something late night. Wish the burgers had more lettuce + better tasting tomatoes. The tomatoes always seem a bit too ripe. It's great when it's hot of course but late night past 12 it can be busy so don't expect the food to be hot. Normally mediocre, good selection of sauces. Buttermilk is good. Service takes about 12mins to 15mins on average from driving up to driving off. Easy access to drive through and parking lot to park off on the side to eat with a decent lit area. My husband and I went through the drive thru, order two breakfast burritos, the girl who was helping us was immediately replaced with a guy. He puts one burrito on the screen and we tell him we want two. He replies " yeah, I got it". We still see the price for one but assumes the screen is just bugged. So we pull up to the window, he charges us for one and hands us a single burrito. My husband says "oh, I ordered two." The guy responds "No, you get one." I asked, "what do you mean we ordered one?" Jack in the box is always the go to for fast food but my husband and I will always come to this location because of Jimmy! He is 10/10 customer service which is such an easy thing to ignore when you have such short interactions with people; but Jimmy is consistently friendly and always has a smile on his face. I've even mentioned his great service and seems like everyone in Pleasanton knows him and loves his positive attitude. Jack in the Box isn't the worst place to go when you're pressed for time and need a quick bite or coffee before work. The staff is usually pretty amicable or friendly depending on who they have working at the window. Usually not busy in the morning before 8am. My go-to is the coffee and maybe an occasional croissant sandwich. They always verify if your order looks correct on the screen before you drive up which is nice. Customer service is infinitely better than any McDonald's, so I'd rather come here for coffee. I find that their prices are much more agreeable for black coffee than paying $2.75 for the same thing at a Starbucks. Decent spot for fast food! read more

So... Chicken Tater Melt sandwich is a fried chicken sandwich with hashbrowns, cheese, bacon, and gravy in a croissant. I managed to get a chicken sandwich with cheese, bacon and no gravy in-between two slices of bread. If I wanted a grilled sandwich, I would have asked for one. Annoying when I spend 8 dollars of my hard earned money after ordering something and get something completely different with no heads up. Also didn't give a bag for sauces and piled them on top of the box. Made for a fun car ride home trying to pick up all of them as they fell while trying to drive. read more

Update: I decided to try this place again. At 11:15 PM on a Friday, I pull up to the drive thru and they tell me they are only doing Door Dash orders. Someone fix this place. Big light up sign in window says OPEN 24/7. Multiple cars in line at drive through, but no one taking orders. We sit there a few minutes until I drive up to the window and no one is there. I honk a couple times in case they're just in the back or freezer or something but nothing. Then someone finally comes out to tell us everyone is on a break for at least another 10 minutes. I decide to wait in the parking lot and at least 5 other cars have come and been told they are still on a break. What the hell is this...? read more

My buddy and I were going to a couple of skate parks and wanted some food ahead of those. It's always a tough decision, especially in an area I don't know so well. (Coincidentally, I had been to the Peet's location down the road just a night or two before that.) Jack in the Box has some good breakfast items, and I still didn't get my Grilled Breakfast Sandwich, even though I had ordered it at one location and they gave me something else. This was an opportunity. I ordered that and a hash brown, and my buddy ordered a sausage burrito. Between $3.00 and $3.50, they were reasonably filling, though it seems you get more in a burger for the same price. Service was friendly but not particularly quick or efficient. Tables were not particularly neat or clean but it was nowhere near disgusting either--typical for JiTB. read more
