First visit I hate to rate a Mexican joint subpar or average but I'll review it anyway. Definitely a only location and most likely family run. I ordered the 2 hard shell taco plate with carne asada and ground beef. Chips and salsa are usually 99 cents per basket but the cashier didn't charge me anything . I ordered one order of churros which was a little mistake . First thing first, the plate was ok. Just ok. The saltiness in the ground beef was so overpowering I could barely eat it. The so called basket of complimentary chips were stale and had and were being heated under a heat lamp. Unfortunately, they have a fly problem, I had to shew away a couple of flies several times while eating. One thing that causes this that they keep their from dual entrance doors open which is a No No. Of course flies are attracted and come inside. Lastly the churros they almost forgot that I ordered it, I had to remind them. They were unfortunately the worst churros very hard barrel edible. About two 6 inch in size cut .The rice was unflavored and the beans were canned refried with just shredded cheese on top .So with all these issues I described on my first visit led me to rate it a 3/5 for Dos Amigos. Honestly I probably won't be returning unless they improve taste preparation and atmosphere. First impressions are huge with these type of restaurants.

Asada super burrito 9.5/10 definitely will be back for this.

Came by to try this place because my son was raving over their asada super burritos. The staff is friendly and food came out quickly. The inside has a small salsa bar and an actual bar as well. Good amount of tables and seats both inside and outdoors. Now for the food reviews: *Asada Burrito 9.5/10 *Chicken taco 8/10 *Carnitas taco 7/10 *Jamaica 3/10. Not enough sugar and super watered down. Definitely the spot for super burritos tho! Overall solid 4.5 stars.

Two Amigos is my absolute favorite taqueria in the East Bay. Incredible tacos!! Had the BBQ Chicken and Carne Ranchero today and both were phenomenal. And the service is so great - came with our 2 year old and our dog and ate on the outdoor patio! They brought water out for our dog, and had plenty of high chairs available. Patio was very clean and lovely. Been coming here for years and will continue to come any chance I get!

Ate here before going wine tasting with my Nana. Food: * Super nachos: 2/5 With pollo adovado (bbq chicken). Comes with tortilla chips, cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. It was served lukewarm and the cheese was already hard. Also, there was handily any guacamole or sour cream. Chicken on the nachos were cold. We only ate a few bites. * 3 hardshell tacos with carne asada: 3/5 Taco shells were delightful but again the carne asada was served lukewarm with minimal sour cream. The meat was a bit hard. Saving grace was I really enjoyed the taco shells. Drink: 5/5 * Victoria beer * horchata Service: 5/5 The cashier was extremely polite and helpful as was the waitress the brougt the food to our table. Overall, i'm not sure if I would return. All the food we ordered was served lukewarm and proteins lacked the fresh quality... Here goes the endless search for good Mexican food/taqueria in the Tri- Valley... Any suggestions friends?

They have a salsa bar with tortilla chips and something unique, Duritos. (Circle Wheat chips with an X in the middle). We ordered a California burrito, Al pastor taco, and horchata. The horchata was "home made" and definitely tasted different the branded horchata I'm used to. California burrito:. Has carne asada, fries, sour cream, guacamole, Monterey cheese, and pico. The burrito was hot and everything felt incorporated versus some taco shops just put cold ingredients together. Burrito was split between the wife and I and it was very filling. Melty cheese pull was a nice touch to know they didn't skimp on ingredients. My only criticism is that the fries are soggy. If they deep fry it to a super crispy texture would make this SO MUCH better. Al pastor taco: was good. They offered a handmade tortilla which was a little extra. The Al pastor wasn't carved off of a "spit" or doesn't appear to be since the cuts appear more clumpy. Otherwise flavor was there and solid. Service was prompt and they also bus your table after your done. Overall worth the stop, will come back since there's a few things on the menu I'd like to come back and try.

But if I were rating strictly on the food, it would be closer to 2.5 stars. I ordered the carne asada taco plate. Unfortunately, the carne was quite dry and pretty flavorless, and the rice and beans also lacked seasoning. It felt like a basic step was missed: salting during the cooking process. You don't need to over-salt food, but salt added while cooking is essential- it penetrates the meat, rice, and beans and actually brings out their natural flavors. Adding salt afterward just sits on the surface and tastes like... salt, not seasoned food. I honestly don't think I've ever had Mexican rice this bland, and the beans had no flavor at all. With just a bit of seasoning during cooking, this food could be so much better. Cooking 101. Please take note, kitchen -- there's real potential here.

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Excellent Authentic Mexican Cuisine in an Asian Mall of all places! Solid!…read more Pacific Pearl Plaza is best known for being a big Asian-oriented mall filled with restaurants and the expansive Ranch 99 Supermarket which anchors it in the middle. In the far corner of this mall is the food court. Walk on in and you will find to your surprise this little taqueria with a big enough menu that covers all the bases for Mex, more so than most food trucks, but here, you get to sit down at a real table inside and enjoy your meal! As for me, I was just a tad hungry after a light lunch, so instead of the usual taco or burrito, I ordered up a Sope Al Pastor up at the counter. For the uninitiated, a Sope is a bit like a taco or tostada, but served on a thick pillowy corn tortilla that is lightly fried on the outside and soft on the inside. On top is marinated pork (Al Pastor), Cotija Cheese, a dash of sour cream, salsa and onions. Fold this in half and YUM! I really loved this, as it brought me back to my time in Mexico. If you take your order to go, they give you a pretty sturdy take out container too. Very nicely presented, and the service was friendly and efficient. PRO TIP: Be sure to load up on salsa at the Salsa Bar. That said, almost all the salsas are can be pretty spicy except for the base tomato/onion/cilantro one! Verdict: Solid Mex! I'll definitely come back here if I am in the area.

So, I ordered my usual fish taco and shrimp taco with a Corona at the counter. There is a small chips and salsa bar next to the counter. Oddly, they provide VERY small paper bags to hold a few chips. That wasn't going to work for two hungry adults so I asked for a basket. That turned out to be an awkward ordeal. The owner/ manager ( not sure who) made kind of big deal about how "special" I am to be the only customer who gets a basket. We both thought it was awkward and rude at the same time lol. They have two small rooms to sit at a table. The tv was turned up when we were half way through the meal. It was much too loud for the small space. Another weird event. We couldn't wait to leave. Outdoor seating? There are a few small tables in the front of the restaurant, but the road noise was too loud for that option. Impressions The tacos were bland and unappetizing. I was very surprised how they lacked flavor. My husband had some kind of ala carte plate. He loves Mexican food! It was a disappointing meal for both of us. Suggestions The customer is the focus so you earn return visits. I think that was lost to the staff on this particular day. It's not a big deal to offer a bowl or basket for chips. If you have customers, especially who aren't watching tv, turning the volume up for the employees to hear is not going to make a good impression.

The asada tacos were easily the highlight--solid 8/10 and definitely the "hit" of the meal. However, as a Mexican who knows my beans, the refried beans were a major disappointment. They tasted like they came straight from a can and had a strange oil flavor that just didn't sit right. Pro Tip: Ask for extra lime and cilantro. They tend to go heavy on the onions but light on the greens.
