I have an irrational fear of the dentist. I'm 34 and for the past 15 years refused to go unless absolutely necessary ((usually resulting in extractions) and found dr. Oh by way of his (AMAZING) hygienist, Elisa. I just finished round one of a deep cleaning, filling and crown prep and am wondering why I was so insanely terrified. Elisa is magical. The right side of mouth looks brand new. She's gentle, patient, kind and thorough. Dr. Oh is funny, quick, and really great. Nothing that wasn't necessary was forced on me. A few months ago I went to a dental clinic in Montebello and was informed that I had 5 cavities! A bit shocked, my dad advised me to get a second opinion. So I went around Diamond Bar, since there are about 5 dentistries on Grand and Diamond Bar Blvd, asking for price comparisons. All the other dentistries looked at the original price and modified their price to be slightly cheaper. Only at this dentistry that the receptionist took no notice of the above prices and gave me their base price. Which was the cheapest out of all 4 dentistries that I went to. Immediately, I felt like this place was very honest and I would get good service and not feel cheated. I have loved this place ever since. So when the day came for me to get my fillings, Dr. Oh took x-rays of my teeth. I had copies of my x-rays from the previous place and he informed me that it wasn't enough. I didn't have a full set, cause I only had 4, and that a full set was 12 x-rays. I had no idea that I didn't have a full set and was a bit upset that I got screwed over from the previous dentistry. After taking x-rays and examining my teeth, Dr. Oh told me I didn't have any cavities and that the black spots were just stains! Wow! I could not believe that I went from 5 cavities to none! Fillings are really expensive so Dr. Oh couldn've lied to me and had me get fillings, but he didn't! This just made me trust this place soooo much more! I'm so glad that I went here, I wish I had never purchased that stupid groupon deal for the other dentistry. Save yourself some money and go to someone you trust. Like Dr. Oh. Service: Dr. Oh is a really nice guy. He makes small talk with you and doesn't make you feel scared or uncomfortable. The dental assistants and receptionists are all very nice, sociable, and personable. I ordered a retainer and the lab accidentally sent it the wrong office without letting the office know and when I arrived they were really upset for me. I really did not care that much, a bit bummed of course, but I didn't complain. However, the secretary was really angry and I could hear her yelling on my behalf. I was really shocked but pleased because this shows that they genuinely care about their patient's treatment even when the patient themselves don't. Price: Very good price, reasonable too. I would recommend anyone who doesn't want to feel ripped off to go here. I trust Dr. Oh completely and would take all his recommendations and trust his every opinion. Cleanliness: Very clean facility, but I they are moving to a new office soon in the H Mart plaza. Every tool that they used was sterilized and came in a package. Overall: Best dentistry in Diamond Bar! The staff is amazing, Dr. Oh is the nicest dentist every, and they are very accommodating. Good price and I would trust that I am getting the best service for my money. I love this place! I used to be petrified of dentists but now I see them in a whole new light. Best dentist by far IMO. The only dentist I have been to that the shots didn't hurt....or were barely noticeable. My last appointment he told me about this new laser drilling....or something like that....anyway no more shots! I have been going to him since 2003 and will never go anywhere else....unless I move far far away. Prices are reasonable and when I needed it they had in house insurance that helped lower the cost for the work I needed. I don't know if they still offer it but it is something to ask about. My wife and I visited Dr. Oh yesterday. The first impression was very refreshing, thanks to the joyous smiles and hospitality of the front desk staff. Great work! The dental assistants were super friendly and very knowledgable. I bet being in such a comfortable and state of the art environment only enables Dr. Oh's staff to be so superior. His equipment and work place seems to boast the latest and greatest in the dental industry. I could be speaking out of my @$$, but it doesn't take a genius to realize the peace of mind a happy child brings after leaving the dentist pain free. When we brought our son here, the work was quick and painless, and he said, "Dr. Oh used lasers, how cool is that!" Haha. Then there's Dr. Oh, this dude is just frickin' hilarious. I have had a long road of dental work even though I'm 24 years young. I had some crappy dental work done when I lived in Ohio back when I was in high school, and yet here we are years later correcting all of that work. When I moved back to California I went to a Dentist in Upland who was great, I had a root canal and a crown placed and things were great for about 2 years..then my crown came off and the dentist attempted to fix it..it was unsuccessful and around that time I lost my private insurance. He quoted me for an implant, and it was extremely high, then the office never really followed up and kinda left me toothless and hanging, so I decided to take my mouth and money elsewhere. I was referred to Dr. Oh by a family friend who has been seeing him for many years. My mother-in-law saw him first and raved about how kind and funny he was, and how beautiful his office was. I booked an appointment and went in to see what could be done. Dr. Oh's staff is so kind- his front office staff and his dental assistants all offer the same amazing customer service and kindness. Dr. Oh himself is funny and kind and is thorough. He set up a plan to get my tooth fixed and worked with me on payments considering I had no insurance. I have been back many times for my cleanings and to get my implant placed. Dr. Oh and his staff have accommodated me and done their best to ensure that I am comfortable, even in painful situations. Excellent!!!! My 3 yr old had 4 cavities & I was worried about how he would deal with shots & drilling. Then Dr. Oh informed me about using a new laser technology, meaning NO shots & basically NO pain! At first I couldn't believe what I was hearing! What?!?!? Well, soon after we had our appt and took care of the cavities. I couldn't believe it! My 3 yr old successfully had all cavities filled without a fuss! As a mom of 3 young children, I assure you won't be disappointed with this dentist!!! Several years ago, I had gone to a dental clinic, and I was told that I needed two root canals. I was also told that because of the complexity that I would need oral surgery. A friend recommended Dr. Oh. Dr. Oh examined me after getting x-rays. He also told me that the root canals would be complicated. I told him just to do his best. He did the root canals, and every thing went OK. Each of the teeth had four roots, which made the process more difficult, especially toward the end. I don't compliment professionals much. After all, it's their job. My experience left me glad to have met Dr. Oh. He is very professional and skilled. My friend thinks the same. That's why he takes his children there. read more
