Jack Stack... cheesy corn is the best! I know this is a chain and there are better BBQ's out there, but I always find myself coming back to Jack Stack's when I'm in town. The food were great, the corn, the beans, the meats and even the spinach salad was amazing. Our server was really kind and very accommodating. She even split our salad in 1/3's without our asking. Finally a great restaurant in Lees Summit. Not another chain and not Mexican. We needed this. Plus it is KC BBQ at it's best. As good as any other Jack Stack and they are all good (although they are different) Service from the bar staff is off the charts and well the food the food..... like I said KC BBQ at it's best. Joe's and Q39 are great but they could learn a few things like consistency from JS. Every plate every rib or sandwich is top notch here. Eat here and eat here often. Food is always consistent and we enjoy going. At Christmas I purchased a lot of gift cards to give as gifts. We had several I'll call them bounce back cards. Went to use one of the $20 ones tonight only to be told it expired 2 days ago. Why would you put an expiration on them?? I've always been a fan of Jack Stack so I thought I would bring my dad for a early father's day lunch. I typically start off with the onion ring appetizer but thought I would switch things up and ordered the jalapeno cornbread. We both ordered the lunch special, it came with beef burnt ends, pork ribs and 2 sides. The food here is always consistently delicious. As always the burnt ends were awsome with the right amount of bark and great flavor. The food portions are huge even for lunch so I could only finish the ends, half of my beans and took everything else home. I also had the smokin mary that was garnished with two burnt end stuffed olives. Oh man that was awesome! Jack Stack is my favorite place for some que. As a BBQ enthusiast and a KC native, it shocked my in-laws to learn that I had never been to Jack Stack BBQ. We live out of state, which led me more than a decade ago to smoking my own meats. We visit KC couple of times a year and usually end up at Joe's or Q39. Jack Stack did not disappoint with their burnt ends (maybe the best I've ever had), brisket, or beans (almost as good as Smokehouse beans). But the baby backs are a staple of a true BBQ establishment, and I've had better ribs almost anywhere out of state. One early clue was noticing that the membrane wasn't removed--cardinal sin of smoking ribs, keeping the flavor from penetrating as it should. They were cooked to temp, and were "pull-off the bone," as they should be. But no smoke ring and no taste. You had to smother them in their delicious sauce to get an enjoyable bite out of them. Fortunately, the Jack Stack sauce was excellent. If you want beef BBQ, go here and you'll love it. But if you're hungry for some BBQ ribs, go to Joe's or Q39, or frankly, anywhere else. read more

We just visited this evening with our family. The food was great! Kira, our server, was patient when we weren't sure what to order. She answered all our questions. She was quick to fill our waters and to clear any plates we were finished with. She was fantastic!! My husband and I split the Roundup and it was more than enough for the two of us.
