My friend loves the upstairs part of this place. We get to just people-watch while sipping on our drinks. It's not really a dancing bar, and I remember having a hard time talking to my friends upstairs. Ive had plenty of conversations downstairs just fine. I came during the World Cup and I noticed that the game wasn't on the TVs. Well I didn't even have to say anything to the bartender. I pointed at the game playing on my phone and the tv and he said okay I'm on it! LOL I loved that energy so much. It was like 11pm with Egypt and Iran playing. My first experience with Jack's was pretty cool and a lot of fun.  I came here with the son to take advantage of the nice and convenient shuttle service from their pub to a Brewers' game at American Family Field and back after the game.  All you have to do to earn the round trip shuttle ride is buy a drink or food.  So the son got me a delightful draft Lakefront Brewery Hazy Rabbit hazy IPA and he got a rum and coke, and the total for both was just $9.  Great deal, shuttle or no shuttle!  Jack's is also a very popular and vibrant sports bar on vibrant Brady St and the place was hopping at about 5pm, roughly 2 hours before the 6:45pm Cubs-Brewers game on this Friday night.  We caught the 2nd shuttle out as they start shuttling out at 2 hours before game time.  When I got on the bus, there was a resounding chorus of boos, and I thought it was because we held the departure up a few minutes, but I quickly realized it was my Cubs hat, lol. Brewers fans are the best around, what can I say!   Anyway, it was a very fun ride as you can bring your drink on board, and it's the very first time I headed to a ball game while enjoying a drink, and it was a party bus indeed.  I felt a whole generation younger being on that bus!  The pro-tip for you is to catch the 1st or 2nd shuttle as the son has learned from experience that you can be stuck in AFF traffic and go nowhere for an hour if you're much later than the 2nd shuttle.  You get a wrist band that entitles you to get on the return shuttle after the game and there wasn't much wait to get on board and for a quick 15 minute trip back to Jack's.  It was all very convenient and a great way to transit to a Brewers' game.  They have a bunch of shuttles to and from the game from various bars and this is just one of them, but it's a great service and a great value, and it's a win-win for both the pubs and the fans.  I'm a big fan particularly of Jack's American Pub now! read more

Stopped in a couple weeks ago for a late lunch. The place me and my friends were going to go to was closed on Sunday's and didn't know that ahead of time, so they suggested Jack's. I haven't been here since it was Crisp Pizza Bar. We took seats at the bar and one thing I noticed since it's been Jack's from Crisp it was bright in there and not in a bad way. When it was Crisp I remember it being a little dark in there but the area was well lit with it being sunny out. While waiting for our food, I decided to get some pull tabs and bam! A $500 winner and along with two $1 winners! I decided to go with the hand breaded tenders because my friend recommended it and these come with 2 sauces. I went with teriyaki and I believe the other one was a Korean Nashville. When our food arrived, I tried the Korean sauce first to see how it was. Honestly, I'm sorry but really wasn't a big fan of it. However, the teriyaki didn't disappoint. The tenders were crispy and flavorful along with the hand cut fries. After I finished eating, I went over to the claw machine that had White Claws in them. They were empty for obvious reasons, but it was a $1 a play. It was my lucky day because not only did I score one, but got 2 cans! My overall experience was good, but I would say even though the tenders and fries were good, but $14.95 is a wee little on the pricey side. I would come back to try other things on the menu and try my hand at the claw and pull tab machine again lol. read more

Okay so i dont leave reviews but i feel obligated this time around. So i get here with two other people around 1:50 pm (7/2). We walk in to about 4 people at the bar (slow enough, i get they have other things to tend to, but the woman bartender looked over at us multiple times without so much as a greeting. When we were finally talked to we asked about the happy hour. It was a few minutes early so i understand the fact that she couldn't do happy hour yet, but because we asked to wait, she told us to wait outside for the remaining time. We then waited outside until 2:00 and went back inside. We continued to be ignored for a few minutes (she looked at us multiple times, it was uncomfortable to say the least, i already felt like i wasn't welcomed) She had not only helped other quests but greeted them with a very friendly hello same as other guests. When we were served it was not friendly, more "get your drink and get out" vibe. Do better. read more

This is a great bar. One of the single best bartenders I have ever met. She was engaging, funny and super informative. We stayed hours longer than we were planning because of the customer service. This is also a huge property and smoker friendly upstairs in the lemonade stand. I will always come back to Jack's. The tv situation upstairs is perfect for packer games! read more

We share the Wisconsin Cheese Curds a must have! definitely a great option to share a cross few people this is served with ranch dipping sauce. Try tossed in house buffalo or tiger sauce. Great taste, very crunching, fill of cheese definitely delicious. For my main courses a order the Club Sandwich a staple of every American diner! Cracked pepper turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and chimichurri mayo stacked on three slices of your choice of sciortino's on wheat bread with Tater Tots on the side. Jack's is always a great time! Pre-pandemic we would go there for the bar scene at night but obviously I haven't been there army that capacity in awhile. We went to grab a quick lunch outside and the food was great! There was brunch and a few lunch options available. We got cheese curds to start and then each got an entree. There was plenty of outdoor seating and we were able to pick a table that had some shade. The food was amazing. Definitely a great place to grab some bar food. My one complaint would be that we weren't checked in on between getting our food and the check and weren't asked if we needed anything else. I had an empty water glass for essentially the entire meal and really could've used a refill due to how hot my food was. Overall, great food and would definitely be back. read more

It's been a long time since I've been here. My last review was pretty harsh on the food and the general vibe (very sports, very bro). But recently we went here for brunch on the recommendation of a friend. I was so super surprised (in a good way)! The menu is varied: they have on the cheaper end donut holes and avocado toast (both around $10). The most expensive item is the Rise N Shine burger at $15. The burger has pork belly, a burger, sausage gravy, and an egg. It is soooo good! Other than that there are biscuits and gravy with an egg of your choice ($12), a couple of breakfast burritos--one with chorizo, one with rib eye ($14), chicken and waffles ($14), and just a straight up breakfast with 2 eggs, toast, and a side ($13). I truly think it would be hard to go wrong with these offerings, but if brunch isn't your thing they also have a chicken tender meal, a burger option, and a make-your-own-burger option. It was super chill when we were in (about 11:30 on a Sunday) and it was a lovely experience. We rolled right up to the bar. read more

I'm surprised Jack's is rated so low on here! Yes, the music is loud but every single song is a bop so I don't mind it. The have the biggest TVs I've ever seen which is perfect for a March Madness! There are TVs all around so you can see multiple games no matter where you sit. My husband and I had so much fun here watching FDU best Purdue. The drinks were good, service was good, and staff was regularly clearing tables/bar areas. They have an upstairs and upper level bars with plenty of seating around them. They also have pop a shot, pull tabs, and tons of other games upstairs. We will definitely be back! read more

I like Jack's. I go mostly for drink specials. The food is pretty good too. I like the burgers. Until recently they had a truffle Mac and cheese that was my favorite to get as a side. Now it's a jalapeño Mac with bacon on it. It's not quite the same but when I was eating it I had seat-neighbors salivating over it. Sunrise, sunset. It is what it is. It's mostly a younger crowd but also attracts the old-school Brady St. locals, which keeps things interesting. They still have Lakefront specials on certain nights. The bartenders are mostly chill. It's a "young" place in the sense that a lot of the customers are college students, but you still feel welcome if you're not in that cohort. There's not the loud nst-nst-nst music or anything. For food I like the burgers and sandwiches. The cheese fries are good but definitely for 2 people. I like the Doug E. Fresh in particular. There's usually a game on the TV. When I don't want to wait an hour and a half at a brunch place, jacks is a great "I can get food now" alternative. They almost always have seating and their menu offers some fun options. They have deals almost every night of the week. We went for brunch and sat out on their patio. This is definitely more bar food than foodie food, but is pretty good quality for bar food. We started with donuts and cheese curds, a deadly combo. The donuts were hot and gooey, a few were a tad under cooked, but most hit the spot. Everyone at the table agreed the potatoes were pretty salty but were a good amount of crunchy. The servers were very friendly. This is also a great option if you are looking to watch a game, as they have tons of TVs. read more

As a bar-Jacks is fine. Decent amount of space, lots of screens around for watching sports and whatnot. Prices are on point with other Milwaukee bars, the bathrooms can get pretty nasty but that's also standard for Milwaukee. I recently ate here for the first time and likely won't dine in again unless I am feeling desperate. I tried half of a wrap and half of a burger. Both were pretty room temperature, overly filled with lettuce and lacking flavor. Service was mediocre and required asking a few times for refills, etc. All in all felt meh and left with my stomach kind of hurting. read more

I've been here many times in last 2 years. This is one of the happening places on the East side and have always something best to offer. I've had a real good time with my friends watching games and dancing , having shots , beer. I stopped by for some quick food today and ordered fries , cheese curds , and Santa Fe roll. The cheese curds were good but fries were too salty . Santa Fe roll turned out to be horrible . The manager was happy to take my feedback and didn't charge me for the Santa Fe roll. I think the chef must be having a bad day today. I'd recommend this place for the drinks but not the food. Food is expensive , less quantity and tastes bad. this place took a while to grow on me...but I've now been there about 4 times or so, and once you get over the bro-ish environment and fact that it skews pretty young (even for Brady street) you'll find a solid sports bar with very reasonably priced semi interesting food, a really friendly wait staff, and prime patio real estate where Arlington place meets Brady. We've come here several times for games (& the super bowl) and the food we had was for what it was very nicely prepared and presented- even a side salad my friend ordered looked very colorful and fresh. the only thing I wasn't a fan of was their wings. They always run really good brunch and happy hour specials, and also run a shuttle to brewers games and summerfest. I'm a fan! read more

Burger entirely average, Wings were good but overpriced. The curds were outstanding. Would come back if someone wanted to, but better options on Brady. Full transparency, we only came for a couple drinks, so our experience does not in any way reflect the food. We stopped in on a 40-something pub crawl of sorts on a Friday evening. Being from out of town, we wanted the full Brady Street experience and this place was on our list of stops. Upon initial entry, the bouncers seemed fairly friendly and receptive, and we opted to take a couple seats at the bar. The bartenders were relatively attentive after we got their attention, and the drinks were heavy pours and relatively inexpensive. The main attraction to this location is definitely the large, huge, massive, GINORMOUS televisions upstairs. I mean they easily are 20' wide and 15' tall. Not projectors either, full on LED screens. They are the pixel versions found in large sport arenas, but the picture quality was still pretty amazing! So why only 3 stars: The weather outside was chilly (low 30's) but it was apparent the owners were trying to save a few bucks on heat given it was cold enough inside that most folks left their coats on (unfortunately we left ours at the hotel so brrrrrrr). The bouncers in the bar (not at the door) seemed to care less about people being "fighty drunk" in their place. We sat next to a regular (based on their familiarity to and from the bartenders), and he ended up leaving because some drunk idiot tried to start a fight with him because he bumped him sitting down. The regular went to one of the bouncers on his way out and nothing happened, then the bartender went up to a different bouncer and nothing happened. We ended up leaving because the guy was just a major jackwad to us, and when we stopped by a third bouncer on our way out, he seemed to care less. Simply put, people in your bar need to feel comfortable and safe. Pay for some heat, and kick the a$$holes out so the rest of us can enjoy the place, and you could truly have a winner here! read more

Had a great time watching the Jets game on Monday - we lost and I had to pay for my tab, but all is good! Great service and crew. There was a very sweaty, overweight man sitting next to me that kept screaming and typing on his phone during the game - he kept touching people around him and talking about a book he was writing (something about Tiny Tim?) I really wish the staff had thrown him out, I also fear that he drove drunk home. If he could not be there, I'd love to return. read more

Tried Jack's for the first time and the food was amazing! I had the pulled pork with tiger sauce and jalapeño Mac and cheese. I couldn't get enough of it!! My wife had the black and blue burger with gun powder fries. Both entrees were excellent and the waiter was great as well, unfortunately I can't remember his name. I like this place a lot. My wife and I come here to watch the football games. They will put whatever game on you want which is nice. The bar tenders are all great. Good customer service and fun. The food is also good. It's a younger atmosphere, energetic. Good for a Sunday funday. I would recommend especially with a group of friends. read more
