Doug... If I could give 0 stars, I would. Where to start: Unprofessional, untimely, and overall rude. We needed a wine refrigerator by a specified date that was given to Doug at the time of our original order. He promised that he would have the delivery in time for our house warming party which was 2-3 weeks from our order date. Because of his verbal commitment that our order would be here in time (& delivered), we cancelled our order for the same appliance with BestBuy, who wasn't going to meet the delivery deadline needed. Well, as you can guess, Doug didn't pull through. Instead of giving us updates on the status of our order the week we needed it, he didn't return phone calls, pointed his finger at the appliance manufacturer, and provided zero solutions/accommodations to remedy the issue at hand. When we finally did get ahold of him, we decided to cancel our order since his promise wasn't upheld. BestBuy has a significantly better warranty program and customer service platform, so we decided to reorder the appliance through them. When informing Doug that we were going to cancel our order, he was upset (probably because he was losing a commission) and said that we would receive a check in the mail for our refund. I politely informed him that we would like a refund to the credit card we originally paid with and he said, "that costs us money, we would prefer not to do that." Well, Doug, that's unfortunately the cost of business when you don't deliver on the commitments you make. A few days later, Doug calls to inform me that the wine refrigerator has arrived and we can still take the order, if desired. I told him that we would pass, due to the negative experience we had with Jack's Appliance and he proceeded to tell me that they would be charged a $500 restocking fee with the manufacturer to send the appliance back. I told him that it wasn't my problem, which he then tried telling me that it would be deducted from my refund. I know, it's almost comical at this point, but keep reading... We never signed a purchase order with Jack's, we didn't even receive a receipt from Jack's for our order, and it was never disclosed throughout multiple conversations that a "restocking fee" would be charged for cancelling a fully refundable order. When informing Doug that we would not be paying the restocking fee for their mishaps, he told me that I would receive a refund check in the mail, less $500 for the restocking fee, and proceeded to hang up before I could get another word out. When I attempted calling back, he didn't answer. Surprise! Haha. If you're looking for subpar service, a grumpy sales associate with no business acumen, the delayed arrival of your order, and a partial refund for never receiving your appliance(s), Jack's Appliance in Hilliard is the place to shop! read more

We bought a $7,000 fridge/freezer combo. As soon as the installer left the fridge started beeping with a "Door Open" error and the lights went out inside the unit. I called the Jacks Appliance installer guy since I had his number. He wasn't 5 minutes away. He told me to call Jacks Appliance store. Called the store, Kelly, my salesperson referred me to their 3rd party service company. They couldn't come out for 6 days. I complained to Kelly at Jacks Appliance and all he said was he couldn't control their schedule. Even if this is true, a hint of empathy would have been nice. Now I get to listen to 3 successive beeps from a brand new fridge every 30 seconds for 5 more days. Will NEVER spend another dollar in this store. And I'll tell everyone I know how they outsource service and caring about their customers. read more

DO NOT.... I repeat DO NOT use this appliance store. What a run around we've gotten. We so wanted to support a small business but what a mistake that was. We furnished our entire kitchen with Thermador appliances from Jacks and we've had problems with all of them. AND they're less than 5 years old. No help from the staff, won't return our calls. Make promises of new appliances then after a 2 year wait, they literally hide from us when we go to the store to inquire about said appliances. Not kidding.... The guy we worked with originally, HIDES from us when we seek him out. Let this be a warning... do not use Jacks Appliances. You're better off with a big box store. read more

We were needing to purchase new kitchen appliances. We looked at the big box stores but was not convinced that was the right direction. My sister had purchased her appliances from one of those stores and had a horrible experience. I stopped into Jack's Appliance in Hilliard, OH to see what they had and how expensive they were. To my delight and surprise they were comparable to the box stores. But they provided the additional level of Customer Service that is not seen from the box stores. We purchased all 5 kitchen appliances from Jack's. It has been a couple of months and we love them and they are working great. We recommend Jack's Appliance in Hilliard OH without hesitation. I read all the other comments on delivery problem along with installations. My wife and I visited Jacks Appliance and was greeted by Mike the sales guy. He was professional and courteous as we looked around his show room. He spent a lot of time with us measuring certain appliances to see what would work. We purchased a Fridge and cooking stove. After he priced them both out I hit him with the delivery and installation problems people on yelp reported. He gave me his personal guarantee that it would run smooth. IT DID. WE ARE HAPPY WITH EVERY ASPECT ON BUYING DELIVERING AND INSTALLATION. Mike was called and told everything ran as planned. Great job to you Mike and your team. read more

Our first meeting started well, they called me and fit me into their appointment schedule so we could look at built in refrigerators but then it went south. If a couple walk Into an appliance store and say they need a new 48 inch built-in refrigerator, the salesman should think wow that's at least $10,000. We looked around and saw two we liked, then we went home and measured our space and my husband called the sales man Monday morning with the dimensions. I called after that to order and pay for it but got a voicemail. After a day I called back and left another voicemail. It's been two weeks and they have never called me back. How strange is that! So I went to Custom Distributors in Worthington and they have a beautiful selection and a sales woman that emails and calls you and it only took two days to order a SubZero$$$. I recommend custom Distributors highly for customer service. read more

I have a mixed review if Jack's. The selection is great. The salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly. He also helped me find the best deal for the appliance group I needed. The cost is significantly better than other appliance stores in columbus. However, they dropped the ball on the delivery and installation. They delivered the appliances to my garage. Then when the installer came back days later, he couldn't install bc the appliances weren't in my house but in the garage. So he left without telling anyone he was leaving. The only remedy was to have another set of delivery men scheduled to come out to move things into the kitchen. I couldn't wait any longer on their installer to be rescheduled a week later and found my own. So overall, I am happy with the product and price. Not happy that I did not have my built in refrigerator nor any of the other appliances installed by them. But this could just be a one time mistake. I would still recommend them to others. Just try to micromanage the delivery. read more

We have always gone to Jack's in the past when we needed a new appliance, as we love working with a local business and have always found the sales people knowledgeable and helpful. We needed a new refrigerator, ordered and paid for it and scheduled delivery. Several days later our dishwasher broke and so we were able to get one at Jack's. While we were told on our first visit that they don't do repairs any longer, we were ok with that. But, when the dishwasher was delivered, the kind and helpful delivery men (who did a great job getting the refrigerator set up) said that they do not know how to install the dishwasher. I wondered what I would do with an uninstalled dishwasher! When I called Jack's (after the delivery people had already left and it was too late to send it back) I was reminded that I had been told they don't repair appliances. I never knew installation was considered a repair. Plus, their phone system, if a live person doesn't answer, does not allow for a message to be left, just boots you off the phone. I guess an "I am so sorry for the misunderstanding" but nothing, the man I talked to just hung up. I am so sad, as I have sent a number of people to Jack's, and now I am not comfortable at all returning. Now I have to pay $250 to have it installed...days later. read more

I would give them a 0 star but that is not an option. I purchased an wall oven from this store with their recommendation of how great and reputable the Bosch Wall Oven was. Turns out I purchased a lemon with the wall oven and it has been nothing but trouble first bottom oven didn't work then the top microwave/oven stopped working basically they took turns not working if it wasn't for the Bosch warranty for a year I would have been completely out the 5000.00. Don't buy from here I tried to help local store instead of big box store I would have gotten much more help at the big box store after multiple phone calls to Doug I was told to continue to call for service (7 times already for multiple problems) I requested a return of the product for any other product from different company and I was basically laughed at and told to call for service. Will never purchase from here again very little assistance and they do not care just want your money. read more

Ordered 3 Kitchenaid appliances 3 months ago and paid in full at time of order. Scheduled Delivery 3 weeks out. Delivery driver showed with no refrigerator and no explanation. Called Their horrible phone service and finally got to Tom our salesperson. He stated he wasn't sure what happened and would call me back. No calls for a day so I called back the following day where he said that it was a popular item and they also had some damaged ones. Told me he would go to the warehouse and check and call me back. Waited another day with no call. Called him back and he offered to install a loaner? No explanation on what happened to our refrigerator which was obviously sold even thou we paid 3 months prior. Called him again and found out Kitchenaid won't have any available for a few weeks. I am beyond disappointed in this company! read more

Although I'd like to give one star, I'll give two because I FINALLY got a refrigerator that worked. If you purchase from Jack's Appliances informed them you'd require the delivery person to stay while you make sure the appliance delivered is working. I enrolled in a program for low income families called Home Weatherization Assistance Program. While in the program I was informed my refrigerator was not energy-efficient and a replacement would be provided at no cost to me. Refrigerator that was delivered had a broken compressor and everything went bad. Several conversations later a repair person was sent 6 days after the broken fridge was sent. Was informed to send receipts for food that went bad. Informed I'd only be compensated for $150 of the refrigerator/freezer content. (Went shopping for a family if 5 the day before they dropped off fridge) Jack's appliances suggested I tell the Job and Family Services my food went bad because they would give me more stamps. WHAT?! We absolutely love Jack's. We've purchased several appliances from them, including an Asko dishwasher to replace one with a custom face. Their service is outstanding. They saved us a ton of money helping us to identify a model that would fit in the existing space and take the existing face. They give great advice, sometimes recommending repair and foregoing a sale, which speaks volumes. Their installers are experienced, friendly and do very high quality work--always people I feel extremely comfortable having in my home. Their products are of higher quality than you would find in a big box store and definitely worth the investment for the quality and service that you get. read more
