If you're looking for Texas-style barbecue, Jack's BBQ is worth a try. Overall, everything was pretty solid and reasonably priced. They offer different combo options to choose from. For the brisket, they give you one fattier slice and another leaner slice. It was tender, though I wish it was a bit juicier. The ribs had great flavor, and the BBQ sauce was solid. The mac and cheese and cornbread were both really good, though I wasn't much of a fan of the coleslaw. Other than that, everything was enjoyable. Service was great and everyone was very friendly.

Came by and ate lunch today! Went to the bar and had great service and just chilling. Ate the chopped pork sandwich and it was great with collard greens to take home for later. Definitely had a Texas road house feel, served on metal trays with some extra jalapeño pepper slices.

Jack's BBQ has everything I want from a BBQ place - a hearty, meat-heavy meal with a large variety of sides to complement. I came here with 3 friends the day after the Seahawks beat the 49ers in the divisional playoff. We had seen on their IG that the day after a Seahawks win, their "Jackson Smith N-brisket" burrito would be 50% off so we came by. We ordered the nachos, loaded fries, cornbread, and burrito. The nachos were crunchy, had good flavor, and paired well with both the salsa and queso provided. The fries were crispy, and the toppings complemented the base well. We devoured both of them quickly. The burrito was meaty as expected, but very flavorful. The brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage were both prevalent and the queso helped tie it all together. Lastly, I loved the cornbread. The honey butter on top was the perfect touch. I really enjoyed the service and ambiance here as well. Typical rustic barbecue establishment with very friendly staff.

We walked in and were welcomed by a guy with a big hat and boots! Looks like we're in the right spot! Everything looked good so we just went with a couple Picnics for the family. That comes with Brisket, ribs, sausage and your choice of 2 sides. Brisket (4): Pretty tender. The smoke flavor was just okay. You can taste it and it was there, but it wasn't that strong. I like it strong. It was good though. Sausage (5): I was impressed with this. Smoke flavor came through well and the casing had a good pop to it. Ribs (3): Good flavors, but too much bite. I like more of a tender rib. Good smoke flavors though. They served all kinds of drinks from IPA's to whisky. Pick your poison to go with your meat. They give you a plate of pickles, onions, and jalapenos to pair with your meat along with some texas toast. Their sides were decent. I was surprised I liked their collard greens. I generally don't like that stuff. Overall, decent BBQ joint. They even have a large mirror over the slicing table so you can watch them slice up your brisket. I want to come when they have Beef ribs.

Jack's is one of our favorites. We go a little crazy and order way too much food, but our son is thankful when we bring the leftovers home after our date night. The service can be a bit hit or miss, but when it's good, it's fantastic. We recently mentioned that we always wanted to try the Pecan pie but are always too full to order a slice. Our waitress gave us a piece to go on the house! She also mentioned the coupon on the to-go bag that customers always forget about which gives you a free order of hush puppies. Wish we got her name for this review. She's always so nice. Anyway, the hush puppies are pretty tasty and big! $9.00 for 9, but even better when they're free! The tarter sauce is especially good and goes well with them. The BBQ class is also pretty amazing if you ever have a chance to so it. It comes with free drinks and a large sampling of various meats. Only one thing left to try on the menu and that the beef rib. It's 1.5 to 2lb and I don't think it comes with a side for $69.00. I hear it's well worth it, but wish it did come with a side.

Normally the breakfast burritos are good!!!! Today I ordered 2 brisket breakfast burritos and the brisket tastes like 2 day old brisket. Very very very dry and tough

Stopped by on a Wednesday around 1pm. Parking lot, good atmosphere, friendly staff. We started with hushpuppies, then moved onto brisket, pulled pork, and pork ribs. Hushpuppies were fine, seemed pre-made and flash fried to reheat. We really enjoyed the 1/2 lb pork ribs, tender meat, which unfortunately solidified once it cooled (inevitable). Brisket wasn't toooo juicy or fatty, but possibly just the cut we got. Pulled pork was fine, pretty standard. Had leftovers between the two of us, but $70ish pre-tip seemed a bit steep for what we ordered. If we were to revisit, would not order the pulled pork, get pork ribs, and hope for fatty pieces of brisket.

Attending an event where Jack BBQ had all their catering items displayed and for us to try it out. Love the ambiance and the dj they hired for this tasting event. The food was delicious (the meats were juicy and flavorful), the display was unique, the service was friendly, and there was plenty of space to move around. Overall I had a wonderful time. Please check them out if you are looking for bbq.

We come to Jack's pretty often on Sundays. I usually get the Hush Puppies and sausage plate with a side of Texas chili or the Mac and cheese! So delicious!

My husband and I got some takeout from there on Sunday night (Aug 30, 2026). We probably should have gotten different entrées in order to try each other's dish. But we were both craving the brisket bowl, which serves the meat on top of their smoky jalapeño mac & cheese. It was very tasty! And actually very generous portions too. We were talking about it later and in future may just get one order and split it, because it was plenty for two. We had enough leftovers that we had a second dinner. We also tried their coleslaw, which was good, but nothing unique. The fellow who was doing all the work in the truck was named Brad, and he was very friendly and helpful. I had asked how spicy the mac & cheese was, and he kindly gave me a small taste of it to try. I'm a little bit wimpy when it comes to highly spiced food, but this was not overly spiced at all. Depending on when you go, there may or may not be street parking. When we went on a Sunday at 6pm, there was no problem. They are open every day from 11 to 8. And there are two picnic tables in front of the truck, in case you want to eat there. FYI, I don't remember seeing any beverages on the menu. Maybe they have a pitcher of water or something, I don't know. But you might want to check, and maybe bring a beverage with you. All in all, we really enjoyed our experience and the food. The only minor thing i didn't like about this place is the hype of Wagyu beef. I ordered the menu with wagyu and when i ate from the wagyu menu, it was ok, it wasn't the best. One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

Their claim to fame is that "BBQ Sauce isn't needed - the meat is amazingly delicious!" However, they always provide BBQ sauce at the table and sell bottles of their BBQ sauce to take home, so not entirely sure how much they believe in their saying... On my most recent visit to the SLU location, a large group of co-workers and I went out for a celebratory occasion and ordered the: - SMOKED SWEET TEA ($4.50) - smoked brown sugar, simple syrup, and iced tea. This also comes as a cocktail with vodka ($14.50). This drink was honestly just alright and I probably wouldn't get it again personally. It had a slightly savory and smoky after taste, but kind of tasted like you just put a few drops of liquid smoke in the drink. - BUTTERMILK HUSHPUPPIES ($9) - golden brown and piping hot (like literally straight out of the fryer!) served with tartar sauce and honey butter. While they were super fresh and hot hot hot, they were a bit too dense for my preference. It was worth a try, but I would just stick with the regular buttermilk cornbread instead. - LONESTAR FRIES LOADED WITH QUESO AND BEEF BACON ($14.50) - french fries coated in velveta cheese with crumbles of bacon on top. One of my co-workers wanted to give this a try, so wasn't my choice or pick, but this appetizer was also pretty rich and dense. I also would not order this again as I found it too salty. - PICNIC ($98 - enough for four or more people to share!) - brisket, ribs, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, white bread, homemade pickles, jalapeños, and four sides. For sides, we chose the REMOULADE COLESLAW, BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD, QUESO MAC N CHEESE, and SWEET CORN PUDDING. Because there were 8+ of us, we upgraded the side sizes to 12-oz for $8, as part of the picnic deal. We additionally got a side of WAGYU BRISKET (a Wednesday-only special). - BRISKET/ WAGYU BRISKET - tasty, but surprisingly was on the drier side. I don't know if I really could tell the difference between the Wagyu and their normal brisket. I was expecting a much more moist piece of meat, but seemed kind of lean. - RIBS - these were my favorite in the basket. Sweet, juicy, and falls right off the bone! - SAUSAGE - they give you two types to try - spicy and cheese-filled. The spicy has jalapeño in it and definitely has a small kick. The cheese-filled is mild and slightly saltier. - PULLED PORK - also on the saltier side, but at least it's relatively moist and pre-shredded. - CHICKEN - mostly dark meat (which is my preference), but can't say there's really anything special about their marinade. Nothing to write home about here. - REMOULADE COLESLAW - your standard shredded cabbage coated in a sweet and slightly peppery and tangy mayonaise dressing. No complaints here. - BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD - this side is an ABSOLUTE MUST. My co-workers and I were blown away by how good the cornbread was here. It comes with a dollop (more like a scoop) of butter drizzled with honey, but even on it's own, it was absolutely amazing. It was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, like a good cake. - QUESO MAC N CHEESE - This side was evidently rich, but less rich than the Lonestar fries. It was creamy, savory, and came with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top. I liked that they used spiral macaroni as opposed to your typical half tube macaroni as it gave more texture and chew to the dish. - SWEET CORN PUDDING - I thought I would've liked this one more, but similar to the hush puppies, this dish was also too dense for my liking. However, it was a nice and sweet complement to the mostly savory dishes otherwise. **TLDR- for mains sides (as I've basically tried them all at both locations), I would recommend the ribs, buttermilk cornbread, remoulade coleslaw, Gramma's collard greens, and mustardy potato salad.** For dessert, we ordered one of everything off the menu and honestly, dessert was 10/10!: - PEACH COBBLER & ICE CREAM FOR TWO ($12) - this cobbler was fantastic. It was moist, gooey, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was served warm and the ice cream just melted right into it! - PECAN PIE -1996 TEXAS STATE FAIR CHAMP, ALA MODE ($9.50) - this pie was fantastic too. It was sticky, chewy, buttery, and everything a good pecan pie should be. No wonder it was a prize-winning dessert! - BANANA PUDDING WITH NILLA WAFERS ($6.50) - this pudding was creamy, rich, and full of bananas and whipped cream with strong notes of vanilla. The nilla wafers offered a nice crunch and love how they crumbled some on top of the pudding too! Service was wonderful and we got our food within 20 minutes after ordering. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

I'll admit, I'm a tough critic when it comes to BBQ because I make my own, while my wife handles…read morethe sides and desserts. So we definitely have our preferences when it comes to good BBQ. I ordered the Double Trouble ($35.99) with brisket and ribs. We received three pork ribs and about 2 1/2 slices of brisket. The brisket had a nice smoke ring, but unfortunately it was dry. Since we ordered later in the evening, it may have simply been toward the end of the night and the brisket had been sitting for a while. The ribs were just okay. They weren't fall-off-the-bone tender, which doesn't bother me, but they were missing some flavor. The BBQ sauce actually saved the meats. It added some much-needed moisture to the brisket and gave the ribs a better flavor. The combo came with your choice of 2 sides, my wife picked collard greens and cornbread. I also added another order of collard greens ($6.49), ranch beans ($6.49), and the bread mix with white bread, pickled onions, homemade pickles, and jalapeños. The collard greens and ranch beans were both good, and I really liked the pickled onions and homemade pickles. My wife wasn't a fan of the cornbread because it was extremely sweet, she said it was more like cake than cornbread. For dessert, we ordered the Peach Cobbler ($13.99). It came baked in its own individual tin, but it wasn't what we expected. The flavor was okay, but the center was very doughy and seemed like it may have needed more time in the oven. Overall, the sides were the strongest part of the meal. Unfortunately, when I'm ordering BBQ, the meat has to be the star, and the brisket and ribs just didn't do it for us. Not terrible by any means, but based on this meal, it wouldn't be at the top of my list for BBQ.
