Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel and the house omelette for breakfast and we sat outside. Even on a Monday morning, inside was completely full but sitting outside with the gorgeous weather and perfectly in the shade was even better! Great start to the week

Jack's place was absolutely hidden gem. I got the avocado toast with one egg and bacon. It was truly delish! And the staff were super friendly. Loved the food and people. Our new brunch spot!

I was down in Old Town Alexandria one day and just needed a good but quick breakfast. I looked up from where my car was parked and saw Jack's Place. So, I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I called my order in so I could wait in the car. My food was ready when I walked in the door 10 minutes later. The staff member at the register was nice, friendly, and made sure to ask if there was anything else I needed before I left (any condiments, etc.) So, the customer service gets a 10 out of 10. I ended up getting their Sausage and Cheese Omelette. It came with Breakfast Potatoes. The Omelette was okay...your typical run of the mill Sausage Omelette, nothing special but good overall. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. The Breakfast Potatoes didn't have much flavor, other than the herbs they put on top. I'd give those a 6.5 out of 10. Well, the customer service was great, the food could use a little extra something to it, but it did its job by being a fast breakfast when I needed it in Old Town. Overall, I'd give them a 7.5 out of 10. I still might give them a shot again and try something else. Maybe their Breakfast Sandwiches are better.

Nice quaint neighborhood joint. Three bar stools. 4 tables. One seats 4. The others seat 2 each. When we arrived on a Wednesday late morning there were two tables open. A couple or three came in for togo orders. We decided to split the house omelette. Nice sized portions but if you're looking for super sized portions then you'll be disappointed. I would visit again the next time I'm in Alexandria

Breakfast order and grill chef. Clean little restaurant with great food.

This tiny restaurant in Alexandria VA, has very good food and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great local spot, not touristy. The price are good and the service great.

This a very small restaurant that seats maybe 13 people. We wanted a cheap breakfast so we chose Jack's. The service was great. It appeared to be a 2 person show. A guy on the flat top and a woman taking orders, serving and assisting with food prep. We ordered the veggie omelet and it came with toast and home fries. All for $9.99. The food was very good especially for the price. They use glass plates but plastic utensils. If we lived in the area this place would be a staple for us; we love good, cheap food!

Among the fancy restaurants and trendy cafes of Old Town is Jack's Place, a local mom and pop shop serving all day breakfast along with lunch. With 2 high top tables and limited counter seating, it is definitely what I would consider a hole in the wall, a gem that one could easily walk past without noticing. However, don't walk past this place without stopping in. It is a local favorite and with good reason. Pricing is modest with a "humble" menu, food is served up quickly and service is friendly. It is the type of place where you can become a regular without breaking the bank. If I lived just a bit closer, I would make breakfast here a weekly activity just to experience the vibe of a stress-free neighborhood hangout. Anyway, support small business and stop by Jack's Place for some good cookin'!

Bar to sit at to eat, there are 4 tables. Limited seating but so quaint! It's adorable!

He was in the mood for Lahmacun (sounds like Lahamajoun) super thin, crispy pizza topped with a mixture of minced meat with peppers, tomato, herbs, and spices. More fine, light, and delicate than the typical American thin pizza. The service, drinks, and food were beyond stellar in Narman. We felt like the only customers there and were waited on by many staff. The highlight of the day there was their pizza and their beverage presentation and flavors. We came on a weekday night and were the only people there in the end. My husband was impressed at how upscale the restaurant was and it was the finest Turkish restaurant he ever visited. He said it was similar to the hotel dining place he lived at in Turkey. This was our first restaurant in downtown Alexandria and one of our best experiences in Alexandria. The Lahmacun was the finest Turkish pizza my husband ever had. He ordered three of them! Each pizza was served on a large wood board with extra toppings on the side like lemon wedges, cilantro, and onions. They are so fine and thin that you can roll them up to eat. We had to put some of the last pizza aside for take out. I ate the takeout piece and was very impressed how delicious it was after being in the fridge overnight & re-heated. I loved the flavors of the Lahmacun and I don't even care for pizza that much. It is my most preferred pizza in my life ever next to the Crazy Ex in The Thirsty Goat in Clarksville, Tennessee. I ordered a Turkish dish with a rich and ancient history, Hunkar Begendi, or "Sultan's Delight." It dates back several centuries, and it was prepared for the sultans and high-ranking officials, and was served during special occasions and celebrations. The Hunkar Begendi had lamb and velvet soft eggplant with spices. I ordered it with a side of rice. It was very delicious and unique. Yet the Lahmacun despite its simplicity stole the show and cost 1/3 of the price of the Hunkar Begendi. For my beverage, I ordered The Elma. It has a stunning presentation in a smoke filled glass box. The Elma is a beverage with Bourbon, Peach liquor, vanilla maple, Apple butter,Lemon juice, and Apple cider. You have to watch the videos of how it is presented at the table. At the end of our dinner, they played happy birthday and surprised my husband with an ice cream and pumpkin dessert with a candle. So wonderful & heartfelt. It was a fascinating and flavorful dish. The pumpkin tasted like sweet potato & was different. This is a must see place for Turkish cuisine and the finest restaurant service. Prices are low to fair for such high quality food and service. Five Stars.

The place can get quite busy so I would highly recommend making a reservation first. We ordered some cocktails which all tasted amazing, I enjoyed the espresso martini the most. The tuna tarate was refreshing and tasted really good as well. I highly recommend ordering the fish curry or their scallop entree. My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!
