    Chinese chicken salad
    Jeff C.

We ended up at Jack's for a dinner on the way home after a day at Apple Hill. It's tucked inside a shopping center and has a casual vibe where you order up front then they bring it out to your seat. Good menu selection- salads, sandwiches, and comfort food. Wanting something lighter, I ordered the Chinese chicken salad. Overall a good salad and good portions but I wish the chicken and oranges were cut up into smaller pieces. The rest of the family seemed to enjoy their food.

I'm not sure why Jack's quality of food has gone downhill in the last few years. This is some of the lettuce in my salad.

This is some of the lettuce in my Chinese chicken salad today. Jack's quality is going downhill! I've ordered this salad several times and either the lettuce is yucky or the oranges taste on the verge of fermenting.

I've been to this location a couple of times and the service and food has been on point. Today I ordered the Superfood Salad and the Jacks Urban Fries well done. The Salad tasted fresh and I like how they gave me half an avocado! This salad could be served as an entree or split between 2-3 people. The fries also tasted great! Fresh and hot! Overall I would recommend this place. I came on a Sunday lunch and it was busy, yet the service was fast!

I enjoy visiting jack's for a quick & simple salad, and it's been a go to spot on my list for years now. +Build Your Own Salads which comes with greens of choice, 6 toppings, 2 dressings, & optional protein. For a standard rate of about $13 plus protein price ($3-6) is a little steep but they do give a generous amount of toppings. I can usually get 1.5-2 meals out of it, but I have definitely noticed they skimped the past few visits. +A must order are the urban fries!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crispy thin fries covered with red pepper flakes, chili oil, & blue cheese. $5-7 depending on size. It's so creamy and tasty with a hint of spice, highly recommend. +spicy buffalo sandiwxh $14 was unimpressive. Bread was dry and not enough sauce. Would not opt for it As for the location itself, huuuuge parking lot shared with other complexes. Service is friendly and fast. They got my salad dressing incorrect and offered to remake the whole thing. Not the cleanest Jack's I've been too but they tend to be pretty busy so can't blame them

I had the Chinese Chicken salad. The plumb vinaigrette is weak and the specialty salad place doesn't have miso. The salad was fresh, service was prompt. Just weak on their salad dressing choices.

Yummy for my large tummy. Lol

Always a pleasure to eat well prepared food. The staff is genuinely very friendly, and the restaurant is clean.

Came here for the first time for dinner. The experience was ok, open and bright, good selection of items...they are a little on the higher end for a semi-fast food/ self-serve eatery. We ordered four things: 1. Reuben sandwich 2. Mac n cheese 3. Chicken sandwich 4. Potato salad 5. His beer The food except for 1 was tasty especially my chicken sandwich. However, the Mac and cheese was dry and bland. Also customer service was ok, some of the staff looked busy and unavailable. Lastly, (bc I believe every sandwich should have mustard), they actually don't carry regular or spicy mustard. They have several sandwiches on the menu but don't have condiments...one employee said they have honey mustard only. The place looked somewhat clean except got several flies inside the restaurant buzzzzzzing around. Maybe getting some insect repellent for the inside would help. Ample parking space out front and different juices available. Overall, I'd try this again maybe at another location too.

Excellent food. Good Sandwiches, salads, hot food. Weird ordering process. Sometimes food quality is inconsistent.

Phenomenal food and exceptional dining experience!!…read more I came here on a Saturday night with 0 expectations. I had Burmese food once years ago and I wasn't too fond of it but thought I'd give it another chance and I'm so glad I did! This ambience of this spot was super moody with dimmed lighting and plenty of seating including booths. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our waiter was extremely kind and accommodating to our many questions and inquiries. He checked up on us several times during our dinner and made sure we were happy with everything. Now onto the food!!!! We ordered the Burmese pad Thai with chicken, the coconut rice, and basil and dried chili beef, all medium spicy. The noodles in the pad Thai were cooked perfectly with a tangy sauce and the added peanuts gave a nice textural crunch. The sweetness of the coconut rice paired PERFECTLY with the spicy beef. The beef itself was so delicious, unlike anything I've ever had before! Made with chillies, basil, and tamarind powder, it was packed with flavor and spice while being extremely juicy. I can't wait to be back here and try other items on the menu!!

I would eat these two dishes everyday if I could! We have tried various dishes each time we come from the black pepper chicken, garlic noodles, Burmese pad thai, and chicken curry, and everything has been tasty. The service has always been great and the place is clean. We make the drive out from Elk Grove whenever we crave Burmese food since we know this place will always leave us satisfied!

I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

They actually ran out nothing sauce and used an aioli sauce that paired very well. Mahi fish is like the steak of the fish to me, so it was very filling. Coconut rice has coconut shavings in it and made it ten times better. The Hawaiian bbq was sooooo much better fresh in person. I had it as a take out and it was good, but so much better fresh. Kids chicken and rice was so crappy. It was literally chicken thighs boiled in watered down teriyaki & soy sauce. Sorry but my 5-year old eats food that tastes good, not just anything on the table. We ordered the roasted wings, the chicken tacos and the Hawaiian bbq plate with the kalbi beef upgrade. The fire roasted wings were cold, saucy and dis not even have one char mark on them to show that they were fire roasted. And they tasted horrible. The chicken tacos were subpar. The same chicken meat from the kids meal. One of the 2 tacos did not even have cheese and they had gotten so soggy that you couldn't even pick it up. The Hawaiian bbq plate was disappointing. Same boiled chicken from the kids meal, 4 pieces of shrimp and small pieces of beef. The 36 dollar price tag on this was a joke. How can you have 4 plates and all 4 were so shitty? The only good thing was the drinks. So disappointed with the overall below average tasting food. One of the worst foods I ever had. Never going back here again.

Both of the avocado toast were tasty. They weren't anything special but they were good enough. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was spending almost $50 for two coffees and avocado toast.
