They have a little fun with the numbers displayed on a photo of a record albums. We chose the Ramons. Had the Lemon-Thyme Chicken which is a half breast grilled. The season is just right - not over powering and the balance with the chicken flavor was perfect. The meat was compressed which made it easy to cut and eat. Love it! My two side dishes were mashed potatoes and baked cheese bread. Both well seasoned. Not my first time with the chain, but first at this location. I was visiting friends and we ate at the Folsom location of this restaurant and it was FABULOUS! I love salads and their menu allows you to pick all the ingredients you want in the salad. I visited this location a couple of years ago and wad disappointed with the wilted tasteless Caesar salad that was quite soggy and skimpy for the price I paid. I didn't visit this location until recently hoping that the quality of their food had changed. Again, I ordered the Caesar salad and this time, it was obvious they changed the dressing to much cheaper ingredients in that the dressing was watery, tasteless and obviously did not contain many of the ingredients in a Caesar dressing. I come here often and I probably still will just cause I like salad but let's talk about a few things: Inconsistency sometimes your salad is huge with lots of toppings other times the lettuce is old and soggy and the fruit is mushy. I've been to a few different Jacks Urban Eats locations over the years and never left feeling full or fully satisfied. If you or someone in your group wants a salad they have lots of different options, as well as different types of sandwiches. Unfortunately they aren't big enough to fill you up, despite the prices. It might take you a while to decide what to order as the menu is pretty large. I went here recently with some coworkers and got the California Cheese Steak. I love a good cheese steak and this one wasn't bad but wasn't outstanding. Rather than cooking all the ingredients together with the cheese like some places do, they had slices of tri tip on a sandwich with cheese, peppers/onions, and a sauce. It was decent and other than the size, my biggest complaint was that the ciabatta roll was dry and "bready" which isn't what you want with a cheese steak. When macaroni and cheese is on a menu I have a hard time not ordering it, but unfortunately that was a mistake. For $4.50 I got a bowl of flavorless pasta. It had no seasoning to speak of and no flavors resembling cheese. I should have saved money and just gotten the fries instead. Jack's Urban Eats was busy during the lunch rush so presumably most people had better experiences than I did. I am so-so on this restaurant. The prices are a bit high, and the sandwiches are often a bit thin on meat. So I don't like the value for the money here. You can see from the Reuben here where there is bread that is left naked of goods. The salads are probably your best bet on value here from the many times I have been here. 7/28 Ordered Korean BBQ Steak salad with extra beef. There was very little meat, cucumbers were bitter - not edible, rice was clumpy and I couldn't tell it was rice at first. My son ordered turkey and gravy. it was more like jerky, it was so dry. and the garlic fries, were completely soggy. No attempt to make even those stand out. This $52 takeout was a complete waste of money. I picked up there because my son had major surgery and the day before and he wanted turkey with gravy. It was terrible. I love jacks but my goodness what happened to this place? They never get my (very simple) order right. As soon as I pick up my order I always go back to my car and check to make sure all the salad ingredients are there. They forget the blue cheese crumbles every single time. I remember when this Location first opened up and I was a student at FLC, it was extremely nice to have this location so close to my studies. The service has always been top tier, and the food quality is as fresh as it gets. You can watch it all being made right in front of you. The salads are the best you will find , in fact I am not sure if I know of any other place like Jacks that will make the salad exactly as you ask for it. Sure you can order a typical salad, or you can get creative and build your own, I like to substitute broccoli for lettuce. The sandwiches are all amazing , and the Jacks Urban Fries are basically life changing as in you'll change your habits to have some more. I have never had a bad experience at this location and I would say that it has kept current, clean, fresh and consistently excellent in the many years they have been here, always an A+ from me. read more

Everyone seems to love the BBQ tri tip sandwich, but I opted for the Jack's classic tri-tip sandwich since I'm not a huge fan of oversauced meat. Most tri-tip sandwiches I've eaten are filled with meat and nothing else. Jack's classic tri-tip sandwich goes above and beyond by adding caramelized onions, lettuce and tomatoes. The meat was tender, which is a huge plus. The sweet potato fries are average. On retrospect, I should have gone with the garlic fries. The urban fries since they were pretty good considering how I don't like blue cheese or spicy flavors. I'd highly recommend it! This place is self-seating, which was perfect for my large group.
