    Chimichurri Steak Sandwich
    Niki L.

Trendy, popular lunch time spot during the week. The line moved fairly quickly for the line. I had the chimichurri steak sandwich, which was flavorful albeit a bit tough to chew. The onion helped balance the heaviness of the meat, but needed the side pickle to round it out. I can't say I could find the chimichurri part of the sandwich. My husband had the brisket plate with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. He found his brisket too dry, but the mashed potatoes were more redeeming.

Got a steak bowl here today for to go. And as soon an I'm about to take my 2nd bite I hear my fork moving hit something and I pull this out. A piece of plastic. Please be cautious when ordering food from here.

Arrived around 430 on a weekday and the place was pretty empty. Walked right up to order, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was good. They have so many salad options and I love you can build your own, you can pick 6 different toppings, the possibilities are endless! Would definitely go back and try a sandwich

Delicious turkey sandwich and tomato soup. Clean restaurant. Clean bathrooms. This is a chain restaurant, as many know, but I appreciate the upkeep and high food standards.

Here we go again. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. It came with no thousand island (Russian) dressing, no swiss cheese(!), minuscule amount of sauerkraut, tons of whole grain mustard. I was least looking forward to the rye bread but it was the best part, very fresh and not like store bought. They DID remember the corned beef but sheesh, customers, check inside your sandwich before you take a bite. The servers were trying their best to be helpful but it took 2 of them to figure out what Russian dressing is. They are busy too so it takes a while for them to acknowledge you at the counter when you want ask for something. The ambience today was nice. Not too crowded. Clean except I almost slipped on a napkin on the floor.

Ordered a 20$ tri tip plate and got the 3 driest smallest pieces of steak I have ever seen. Also ordered it for here and got a to go box for some reason while seated outside.

The meatballs were tender and flavorful. But I prefer a softer meatball personally. The mushroom risotto was creamy. For the main dish, I went with the Frutti di Mare al Forno. It was packed with seafood and paired beautifully with the pasta.

Some food memories stick with you. Not just the "that was good" kind... I'm talking about the kind…read morethat randomly pops into your head weeks later like, "man... those meatballs though." That was exactly what happened after my first visit here. Those meatballs lived rent-free in my brain, so coming back was an easy call. Earlier in the day we took a nice walk around Folsom Lake with some friends. Fresh air, good conversation, and by the time we wrapped up everyone had that universal look of "okay... where are we eating?" As we drove back and passed Dominick's it was one of those moments where the decision basically made itself. I was like yep... this is happening. Pulling up I noticed the line was out the door, which honestly is the Italian restaurant version of a five-star Yelp wink. A line like that usually means something good is happening inside. The place itself has a great vibe and you can tell people genuinely love this spot. While waiting I looked around the shop area and noticed they have wines available for purchase. One bottle caught my eye immediately... a 100-point rated wine. For anyone who knows wine, that's basically the culinary equivalent of a mic drop. A perfect score from top critics is rare air. Naturally I did what any responsible food lover would do... I snagged it. A 2020 Super Tuscan that felt like finding hidden treasure on a shelf. The young lady behind the counter was an absolute delight. Super friendly, welcoming, and she even laughed at one of my dad jokes... which means either it was actually funny or she deserves an Oscar. Either way, great hospitality all around. The food came out and the table looked like a proper Italian feast. We had the meatballs, calzones, a chicken panini, and the coleslaw salad. My friends were loving everything. Plates were disappearing fast which is always a good sign. Now for the moment I had been waiting for... the meatballs. They were still good, but they didn't quite pop the way they did in my memory. You know that nostalgic flavor that takes you right back to the first bite you ever had? That lightning bolt moment? I was hoping for that same flavor encore. This time it felt more like the band playing an acoustic version of the hit song. Still enjoyable... just missing a little of that original fireworks. But hey, every great restaurant gets an off day, and honestly the overall experience was still a great stop. Good food, great hospitality, and a place that clearly has a loyal following. And those meatballs? I'm confident they'll make their comeback tour. When they do... best believe I'll be back for the encore.

This is a perfect spot for a quick lunch with the colleagues…read more Came here on a Friday lunch rush. It was decently backed, which I thought would delay us getting our food but within 10 minutes, our food was out. Portions were generous. I chose the Shark Bite, hot sandwich, as a regular and boy was that a hefty and saucy sando. I was pushing my stomach limit, but succeeded in devouring it. I also indulged with their nachos, but of course shared with my coworkers. It was addicting - cheesy goodness with a nice kick if you snagged a jalapeño. I appreciated the employee energy and the patrons this location attracts. I need to come back for their $2 beer days!

Ok, so you have to love cream cheese (which I do) because that's what makes this behemoth of a sandwich so good. It's turkey, avocado, and bacon with the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, greek peppers, and mayo and mustard. Everything I've had there over the years at BHD has always been consistently delicious and stacked. I tried the hot pastrami for the first time, as it comes, and it was yummy. It has avocado, cheese, and mayo. For a pastrami sandwich purist, it might not sound good, but it was so flavorful, and even my husband loved it, and he's one of the pastrami purist and not a fan of mayo. That says a lot. We also tried the hot roast beef with cheddar cheese that came with an au jus for dipping. So dang good! I love the beach and Hawaii theme, of course. The staff (2 ladies) at this location were wonderful and sweet. Skip those other sandwich chains. If you want a real deal, awesome sandwich, go straight to Beach Hut Deli!
