The peel when we first noticed it
    Diane M.

Until recently I would have called myself a reasonably satisfied customer but now will not consider the Acura or Honda brand for another purchase, ever. In fall 2022 we noticed peeling paint on the roof of my 2014 MDX; ironically a warranty to cover the manufacturer defect expired a few months prior (and we never got the recall notice). After seven months of back and forth between Jackson Acura (our dealer), Acura and Honda, the companies made the decision to NOT honor the warranty and I am stuck with a used car that requires $2000 worth of paint repair FOR THEIR MANUFACTURER DEFECT. So, if you're considering the brand, I highly suggest you beware. And if you're considering the dealership, be warned they will not go to bat for you should you find yourself in a similar predicament.

First message when the car was dropped off 10/16/24, 2nd message 12/13/24

This whole process started back on 10/16/24 when I had my 2020 RDX towed into Acura for a transmission related issue, right from the beginning it took everything to get them on the phone. I did not receive a phone call from Acura regarding them working on my car until 10/23 which is almost a week after it had been dropped off. It started with a transmission warmer and after another week of hearing nothing needed a new transmission. They submitted a warranty claim to Honda which was denied, and explained the cost of the repairs out of pocket, to which I asked if there was any help I could get with cost reduction. In between these exchanges I had reached out to the service manager Rodney Jones a couple different times and left voicemails but never heard back. The adviser actually rolled his eyes and almost scoffed when I told him I had reached out to his manager at the time of pickup. He was the person I intended on speaking with about such reduction in costs but my adviser let me know that he had spoken with Rodney himself and he okayed a 10% discount on a $9,000...which boils down to taxes. So, Acura's district manager of Jackson, the general manager, and the adviser couldn't find a transmission for more than a month which ended up being settled officially on 12/13/24 when they texted me the new transmission was in and would be installed asap. The biggest kicker is when I walked into Acura after waiting for 2 months for my car to be fixed, and was made to feel like an ungrateful human being for asking for more help financially instead of financing on some ridiculous interest rate a reduction in cost would've been nice for my time, but instead I had a loaner car for a month which was only half the time we were waiting and minimal communication. So I should be grateful for that, but the adviser lost his temper when I reminded him that I also was the one who established any kind of communication in the first place and was the one paying the bill, not Acura. To which he asked me are you freaking kidding me? No sir, I'm not I'm paying your busted ass service department $9,000 to sit on my car for 2 months on a job that took you a week total to finish diagnostics, repair and all. He even went as far as slamming his hands down on the desk to establish some kind of relevance to anger. He also managed to accuse me of "messing up my own car," to establish his point. I didn't ask who's fault it was asshole, I asked for your to change the price because it took your company 2 months to find a "common part." To make a long story short, if you plan on spending real money these people don't care. Asking for a bigger discount was the biggest slap in the face to this adviser who was charging me $9,000 for a service that took 2 months to complete. When a service adviser makes a comparison like he had to pay $5k for his new engine and he wasn't happy as a means of leverage over me being unhappy paying $9k for a transmission that took 2 months to replace, I think he might've taken it a little personal. Sir, your engine has nothing to do with my transmission taking 2 months to be finished. Time is money, and if you don't value my time I don't give a shit about your money. Don't let me forget to mention I paid for this without financing a single bit of the parts or labor, I will not be returning to this dealership regardless of who owns or operates it.

I take my Acura here often and the service department is pretty good. They will try and match prices too of other dealerships! I don't think they are the cheapest for tires though as I was able to find cheaper tires at Costco but still pretty good experience Lowering the stars as the advisor that used to be there isn't there anymore and the guys now are pretty rude and only care about adding services

On December 16, 2025 Carl, the manager and owner, or so I thought, called me and said my car was involved in an accident on his property while under his care. He said the brakes had failed after being repaired and the tech backed the car into another. He kept apologizing and assured me the car would be repaired to the same mint condition as I brought it in. He even gave me his personal cell number so I could be kept updated on the repair progress. The car was brought to Sun Valley Collision , where Carl said he gets all his personal work done. Six weeks later the car was declared a total loss. At that point Carl basically ghosted me. When it first declared a total loss, I went to the shop and he told to me deal with the insurance company. After two months of fighting with the insurance company I was forced to accept a lower offer than my car was worth ( the insurance company informed that they would stop paying for my rental and storage fees on February 1,2026). I purchased a used vehicle for more than I received from the insurance company. All I want is for Roswell Auto to make up the difference and make me whole. To this point, crickets. Carl doesn't answer his phone and ignores my text. My wife even went to talk to him and he basically said it's up to the owner. The owner happens to be his Dad. I could never and would never recommend this place for any kind of repair because of their terrible customer service and obviously poor mechanical skills. I just read Phil Hughes response to my first review. Phil, shame on you. You know that is not what happened. I was the one who called the Roswell Police to make sure a report was filled out on the destruction of my car that happened at your facility. I never threatened anyone or any employee. I admit I was very angry but I never threatened anyone. I said I could severely damage your business with an honest review of what happened. I happen to have the Police report and there is no mention of me threatening anyone. I did in fact provide your insurance company with a comparable car, same year, same make, same model with the same low mileage. They only raised the settlement amount a few hundred dollars. I wanted to hold out for more but was told by your insurance company that as of February 1, they would no longer pay for the care rental and that the storage fees at Sun Valley Collision would be my responsibility. So I settled for less than I should have. As a business owner you should know better than anyone one that nothing is more important than your reputation. I owned a business for thirty years and I never allowed anyone to walk out unhappy. There is an old saying. It takes 10 customers talking good about you to undo one customer talking bad. You can still do the right thing and pay the $ 2860 price difference. You know it's the right thing to do.

One thing I especially love about Roswell Auto is the camaraderie. Sitting in their waiting room feels like stepping onto the set of The Andy Griffith Show. I dropped my car off at 9:00 a.m. and initially had a great experience with the service and communication. After inspecting my vehicle, I was informed that additional repairs were needed beyond what was originally anticipated. The repairs were explained to me, and I agreed to move forward. Unfortunately, that positive experience quickly changed. No one communicated that the required part was not in stock and had to be ordered. I only found out when I called around 5:45 p.m., just before they closed at 6:00 p.m., to request the shuttle and pick up my car, assuming it was nearly finished. Instead, I was told for the first time that my vehicle would not be ready until the following morning. The next morning, I called and was told it would be another two hours. I had an 8:00 a.m. doctor's appointment, so they shuttled me there with the understanding they would pick me back up afterward. After my appointment, I called for the shuttle and then waited for an hour. When I finally called to see where the driver was, I was asked, "What time do you need it?" as if I hadn't already requested the pickup and been waiting. At that point, my mom had to leave work and come get me. When we arrived back at the shop, I was then informed that the repairs still had not fixed the issue and that they needed to perform yet another repair. After everything that had already happened, they finally offered me a rental vehicle. In total, my vehicle required three different repairs and became ready for pickup around 2pm the following day, bringing the total cost to over $2,000 after a small discount was applied. While I appreciate that the manager ultimately discounted the bill and that my A/C is finally working, that does not erase the overall experience. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication throughout the process. Every update came because I called them, not because they kept me informed. My service advisor, Anthony, was also very short with me and seemed irritated that I had concerns about the delays rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or offering an apology for the repeated miscommunication. To make matters worse, after having my vehicle for over 24 hours, I picked it up to find that it had been driven enough for my gas light to be on. While I understand test driving may be necessary after repairs, returning a customer's vehicle with the fuel warning light illuminated without even mentioning it was frustrating. I chose this location because it is close to my home, and I genuinely hoped it would become my regular shop. Unfortunately, based on how this situation was handled, I will not be returning. Delays happen, and unexpected repairs happen. What shouldn't happen is a complete lack of communication, poor customer service, and customers having to chase down updates on their own.
