Service 10/10. Ordered at the kiosk, no issues. Was nicely greeted by staff. Food delicious. The beans are full of flavor, served just right. I loved their Mac, and the brisket was so good with the classic tangy sauce. Must stop spot, food was refreshing and filling.

Rib tips, collard greens and mac n cheese

It was okay. This place is strictly takeout. I've been wanting to try them since they opened. I was the only person ordering and I was looking at the menu for ten minutes. The staff was there , two people and they didn't even come out to greet me. This was a no for me. As a noon business, you should interact with your customers, if you're not busy and clearly they were. The rib tips were okay, the collard greens were a little salty for my taste and the smoked Mac n cheese was okay. I doubt that I'll be back here as there are other options locally. I really wanted to like it and give a good review

The pulled pork without sauce is full a flavor. You get to choose between 6 sauces (approx) to enhance the flavor even more. The staff is kind and I received my order within a few minutes. Give it a try.

Gees BBQ in Santa Ana is officially my new go-to for smoked barbecue! The brisket is the…read morebest--tender, juicy, flavorful, and honestly better than the one I used to get in Garden Grove. The picanha is tasty without being overly salty, the ribs are awesome, and the ribeye is so tender that everything practically melts in your mouth. I gave the Garden Grove BBQ place three chances, but every time I ordered, the bald-headed host made me feel rushed. With so many choices on the menu, customers should be given a little time to decide without feeling pressured. At Gees, the experience is completely different. Staff is patient, welcoming, and the customer service is excellent. Great barbecue is not just about the smoke, it's also about how you treat your customers. Gees BBQ is the true king of smoked barbecue in Orange County--royalty food fit for a king!

I lived in Texas for many years and this ain't no Texas bbq at all . Fried rice - very salty Mac n cheese - really good Fatty brisket - so they slice it up really thin and cut it into small pieces too make it look like they gave you a lot of amount . But it wasn't tender at all and too much seasoning very peppery . Dyno rib - no meat , a lot of bone . $46 for a bone and very salty and over seasoned very peppery and some parts very chewy Chicken - very very let me tell you very very dry . Each bite I would have to take a sip of my drink so it can go down . Overall worst $80.84 cents spent.

I feel like a yelper that's been living under rocks. Can't believe I never heard of this place…read moreuntil I recently saw my fellow yelper Van D's review. This is western BBQ with an Asian flair. I think the flavor is better and slightly less heavy than a traditional American BBQ. Everything was so packed with flavor, can't really pick a favorite among so many great proteins. Smoked Brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a nice smokey taste. Green Curry Sausage was definitely unique with a really nice Thai infused flavors. Was slightly spicy with strong green curry and lemongrass flavors. Canton Bowl, which comes with smoked pork belly char siu, siu yuk (pork belly with super crispy skin), and coconut rice, was excellent as well. The siu yuk was really good with super crispy/crunchy skin. House-made BBQ sauces were quite good. I really like the gochujang bbq sauce. It has decent amount of heat with a sweet & spicy taste. The regular house BBQ sauce has a tangy, sweet taste with a very subtle heat. It's located at Cottage Industries. Not exactly sure what to call it. It's somewhat like a small community of restaurants and shops with a garden and a play area for kids. Parking is very limited so will most likely need to park on the streets along residential area. Service is minimal. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Seating is only available outside in the covered patio area but you can also pick any of the community tables and chairs within Cottage Industries.

I've heard about their Asian and Texas-style BBQ fusion, so we were excited to finally give them a try. Walking in, the place immediately reminded me of some of the BBQ joints I've been to in the South. It has that casual BBQ patio vibe where the focus is really on the meats and sides. We ordered the 4 Meats + 4 Sides so we could sample a little bit of everything. For our meats, we got 1/2 lb brisket, 1/2 rack of pork ribs, 1/2 lb pork belly (siu yuk), and 1/2 lb char siu. I also added a sausage because I wanted to give that a try. Our favorites were definitely the brisket and sausage. The brisket had good flavor and was the standout meat for us. The sausage was also really good and something I would order again. The siu yuk had a really nice crunch from the crackling skin, but unfortunately the meat itself lacked flavor. The pork ribs were well seasoned, but ours were pretty dry and didn't have much meat on the bones. The char siu was interesting because it's definitely different from the traditional Chinese BBQ char siu you would get from a place like Sam Woo. I can appreciate their take on it, but it wasn't one of our favorites. For our four sides, we chose the tallow fries, shells and cheese, spicy cucumber, and cornbread. Honestly, the sides were all a hit. We enjoyed every one of them and would order all four again. The sides might have actually been the most consistent part of our meal. Service was good. The staff were helpful, friendly, and made the experience easy. The ambiance has that casual BBQ joint and patio feel, which fits the food perfectly. Parking is probably something to keep in mind. They have a small parking lot along with street parking nearby. We came on a Friday for lunch, but I can easily see parking becoming challenging on weekends when they're busy. Overall, Smoke Queen BBQ was an interesting experience. It wasn't the best BBQ my family and I have had, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. What makes this place stand out is the unique combination of Asian flavors with Texas-style BBQ. I'm glad we gave it a try, but for my family and me, this is probably a one-and-done spot.

We ordered the trio appetizer for starters and both got Modela Negra beers since it was happy hour. The appetizer was fantastic. Loved the deep fried pickles and the burnt ends. The guacamole for the chips was great. This is a large appetizer so plan accordingly. For our main course my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of bacon Brussel sprouts. She really enjoyed this. I ordered the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, ribs and brisket with two sides. Mac & cheese and bacon Brussel sprouts. It was delicious. I couldn't finish my meal because of the large appetizer we got. The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I would recommend this for anyone looking for good BBQ and beer.
