The service was outstanding. We shared 3 dishes that were all cooked just right. The sesame chicken was full of nice chunks of with meat. The fried rice had a very generous amount of chicken and excellent flavor. The vegetable dumplings were not my favorite but they were still good. The place has a very positive vibe to it.

dan dan noodles were too spicy despite ordering mild spice. Fried rice had an unpleasant amount of smokey flavoring to it. Soup dumplings were good but again, lots of chili spice. General Tso (?) chicken came in big hunks and not pleasant to eat, had to order the rice separately. Service was gruff. Been here before and it was better then, so i don't j know what happened.

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and decided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services

Ordered the spicy soup dumplings cause you don't see that very often. Not even in China. The texture is good. Skin is thin. Very juicy. Just wish the spicy has more complexity Dry pot has legit Chinese flavor but a bit too spicy. Remember to ask for mild next time. Also pretty big portion

I really like Mapo Tofu... and make it at home often. But occasionally when I get lazy, I will eat it at a restaurant. First time for Mapo at Jade Dumpling, and it was good! I ordered it with Sichuan Peppercorn (apparently you have to ask for it?) and medium spice. It was excellent... more flavor than some of the other local restaurants I have tried. This is a vegetarian version, although the traditional version has ground pork in it. Portion size was great too... got two meals out of it with my takeout. I would definitely order it again!

Not gonna lie, Eugene, Oregon does not have the greatest food scene. When I walked by this little dumpling shop, I knew I had to give it a shot, but I was definitely nervous. I love dumplings so much, and I am very picky with them. This place ended up exceeding every expectation. Everything was delicious and tasted genuinely authentic. The soup dumplings were perfect, steamy and full of flavor. The orange chicken was honestly the best orange chicken I have ever had. The fried rice did not need any sauce at all. The dumplings with the spicy sauce were incredible, and the dandan noodles were rich, flavorful and so satisfying. The inside is super cool, quaint and cozy. It has such a fun little atmosphere. Overall, I had a really yummy dinner here, and it is probably the best restaurant I have tried in Eugene so far. If you are in town and craving dim sum or noodles, this spot is a must. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. Like the service is so so quick it's amazing

Delicious food and huge portions for the price at Jade Dumpling & Noodle House. We ordered the sesame chicken, shrimp pork xiao long bao, pork shrimp & chive dumplings, chicken dumplings, and spicy pork xiao long bao. Everything was good. My husband said the spicy pork was definitely spicy, but really delicious. The dining area is pretty small, so coming on a Wednesday around 5:30 was perfect before the crowd picked up. We could definitely see ourselves doing takeout on busier weekends because this is absolutely going on our regular pickup list. Only minor downside was that once food was served, staff really didn't check back in until bringing the bill. We even saw people grabbing their own to-go boxes, which wasn't a huge deal, just a little unusual. Overall though, really good food and great value.

Fried rice. Dumpling, green beans short ribs fumbling I can get the same mean at Chinns for 1/2 the price.

Very pretty but the serve was poor the employees were robotic no smiles. I felt unwelcome. Fried rice was soul foodish. It's there opening month. Perhaps they were nervous. Go see for yourself I give 5 stars because they are new

A group of us went for a birthday celebration dinner and couldn't have been happier. The service was awesome, friendly and truly made the experience. Food came out quickly and was flavorful, hot and portions were great for sharing. If it's a birthday you just let them know...the birthday song is delightful and sure to bring attention.

Good option for solid Chinese food in Eugene. We ordered the following: House Noodle with Tomato and Egg - Hearty and classic dish reminding you of home - Noodles were very bouncy with the right amount of chew. Definitely tasted hand made in a good way - A LOT of eggs were used for sure, probably 3-4. They did NOT skimp General Tso's Chicken - Nice and crispy - Chicken inside the breading was a little on the smaller side - Decent portion size Port Wontons with Spicey Sauce - The spicey sauce was basically their chili oil - Wonton wrappers were not too thick or thin, perfect amount of chew - Very well handmade and did not fall apart - Pork filling had a bit of soup in it which was a nice surprise - A bit on the salty side Dan Dan Noodles - Smaller portion but to be expected for $8 - works as a good appetizer - Good spice level - Moist/oily noodles - not dry at all Overall, this is a solid place for some handmade quality noodles and dumplings. Big fan of the tomato egg house noodles. Excited to return to try the soup dumplings.

Put our names on the wait list... seemed crowded but we didn't have to wait long. Food was delicious! We ordered dumplings, egg rolls, steamed buns, and braised beef noodle soup. Nicely priced for a family of 4. And we ordered a lot. We only paid $109! Service was awesome also. Our waitress was Chi-chi! She offered her recommendations and answered all our questions. There are 2 parking lots just for this Market District. They offer free 3 hour parking. We will definitely visit again when we are back in town.

This will be a regular stop every time I'm in Eugene. We had spicy pork dumplings, cold cucumbers, pork dan dan noodles, and green beans. Very busy. Worth the wait which isn't that bad.

I was about to drive out to Portland area to find it but Yelp help me find this place that was only 6 mins away. Thank goodness! On the outside, I wasn't sure if this place was open, but as soon as I opened the door, I see there were people dining and the hostess greeted me right away. I informed her I wanted to do take out, so she handed me the menu. I was impressed that they had some dim sum items to choose from and was thinking this will be the best surprise for my daughter! I ordered some basics and the century egg and pork jook (congee). The wait wasn't long and the items were packed nicely. I wish they added some yellow mustard and shoyu to dip but maybe it's something I should have asked for. Overall, I'm am glad this place exists. The food is good, the flavors are there but be aware, price point is pretty steep but hey, it's probably the only place in Eugene that serves legit Cantonese dim sum and congee.

They use medium/smallish shrimp instead of the large, high-quality stuff. The intestine tract is left on some of the shrimp, leaving a muddy flavor that I just don't like. The chow fun was just okay. It is passable if you cook it longer and add more sauce at home.

The menu threw us a little at first, but the staff more than made up for it. They walked us through the options, suggested dishes, and helped us figure out the right portions for our group instead of just letting us over-order. That kind of attentiveness at midnight says a lot. The space is small and clean with a handful of indoor seats -- not somewhere you'd linger, but exactly what we needed. And the food was genuinely good, especially considering we were ordering from a limited late-night selection. If you're passing through and hungry after hours, this is a solid stop.

Not sure what to expect and with zero people in the restaurant, we trusted the Yelp reviews and proceeded to order a takeout meal. I'll just say that the food has a depth and complexity not found in most American Chinese restaurants (Jade Dumpling excepted). The dishes are still American style (to my uninformed mind), but ELEVATED, as they like to say on TV cooking competitions. Prices are reasonable if not very fair. I don't think anyone could be disappointed. Give them a go.
