I really only ever get takeout from here, I eat from here very often. I always get the same dishes usually, shrimp chowmein and shrimp fried rice, never have complaints. These are signature dishes for me, I like the portions and I think they're delicious. Their lunch specials are about $9, depends what you get, I do the mongolian chicken and I've tried the beef and broccoli and shrimp with vegetables. You pick the main dish and get a side of steamed rice or pork fried rice and get a soup to pick from, I do miso. These specials are m-f, from 11-3pm. In terms of service, it's usually friendly but I can't speak to the service you receive when you sit down and eat as I only do takeout. However the many many times I've been in, the atmosphere has been pretty quiet.

First timers and ordered thru DoorDash. Both dishes were really good and hot when delivered. Looks like this will be our go to restaurant for authentic Chinese food.

Service and food are fine. Fair priced food and the equivalent in quality. I had the 3 sushi combo, it came with miso. The green tea was good. I also bought a melon Ramune because i had never heard of it. Photo is attached.

Do they use MSG? I'm allergic.

I am highly sensitive to MSG and had no adverse reaction to my meal. If you are allergic to it, it would be prudent to ask the staff. I understand that some foods may contain small amounts of MSG that occur naturally.

Right across the street was a parking lot that offered 3 hours free parking for customers. The food: House Noodle with Chopped Pork - my favorite dish. Their noodles are made in-house so the chew on them are great. Good flavors, salt level, and a ton of meat. Pork, Shrimp, & Chive Dumplings - big on filling, no skimping on shrimp. Scallion Pancakes - very thin and crispy. A bit on the greasy side but tasty. Braised Beef Noodle soup - same awesome in-house noodles with bits of beef, an egg, boy choy, and a good amount of bean sprouts. I'm used to these soups being packed with five spice and other ingredients - this one is pretty mildly flavored. Pork Xiao Long Bao - they have some soup, skin is on the thicker side and flavor was reasonable. It can serve as your XLB fix, but this was just ok. Other Yelpers wrote about service, but we didn't have any issues flagging people down. They also offered us sharing bowls without us asking for them. Overall, we were really happy with this meal.

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and…read moredecided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services

I have eaten at Far Man with my family since the 1980s and it's always been good food and service, but two nights ago I ordered a meal to go, and what I got was just garbage. The fried meat was not golden and delicious, And by this time the place was closed, and so I waited till the next day to call, expecting an apology and an offer for a replacement meal...instead what I got was a very rude woman who would not let me speak to an owner, she sounded disgusted that I was calling. There was NO APOLOGY, NO EMPATHY, and after a deep exhale was told I could come back and get the meat from the combo I had ordered. WHAT? My combo meal dinner that I paid for was not edible and you're not going to replace it? No compassion, or care for the customer? "Lady, who ever you are, if you don't like your job, QUIT! Go somewhere else where you don't interact with customers" I am pretty sure they don't take it out of your check, and I certainly was not blaming her, but she left an impression and it's too bad, because I will not be going back again. *The bar tender is awesome

I always find that Asian food hits the spot when I'm really hungry, so I looked online for a place that "the locals" rated highly and I came across "Jade Dumpling and Noodles" on Willamette. Let me just say that the fine people of Eugene didn't steer me wrong! My oldest son loves dumplings and I love noodles (really any type of Asian food), so this place was a gem! We ordered 3 different kinds of dumplings, shrimp, pork and a spicy pork and they were All Delicious! These "soup dumplings" were small and bite sized but were packed with huge savory flavors! They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable, all in all, a Great dining experience! Try them out and you'll be hooked on them, just like I am now!!!

What surprised me was that most of the customers were Westerners--it's hard to imagine that everyone can handle such bold, heavy flavors, but I decided to give it a try. Environment: The overall lighting is quite dim, with black tables and black chairs. The ambiance is also on the darker side. Taste: We ordered shrimp wontons, dan dan noodles, and a bowl of maocai (a type of spicy boiled dish). The maocai was quite watery, not at all like the rich, thick broth of boiled beef in chili sauce--the ingredients weren't very flavorful. The shrimp wontons were very fresh. The dan dan noodles were delicious. Service: The restaurant is run by a Chinese couple who moved to Eugene about 10 years ago. You can tell they really love this place and run the restaurant with great care. When I was paying, for some reason my card kept getting declined, but the owner actively helped me figure out a solution, which eventually eased the awkwardness.
