    Lemon chicken -
    Boyet R.

These people are in the wrong business! I hardly care about the ambiance because the staff is more than half of that. There was this Asian woman dressed in a t-shirt and leggings with her socks over leggings up to her shins. Slippers was the choice of footwear. Very uninspired attitude and it's obvious that she hates being there. Kinda "I'm trapped in this dump of a restaurant" look and demeanor. Very well English and sounds like she grew up in the U. S. , but damn she was rude AF!! Breakdown on the food: 1. Miso soup - luke warm 2. Lemon chicken - breaded fried chicken chunks with a disgusting sweet sauce with a hint of lemon peel. 3. Scorpion Roll - might as well be eating a real scorpion because the fried shrimp in this roll was just glad yo get out of the freezer. Not good at all and the sauce that they smeared on the plate was had a vague taste that did not complement the roll. 4. The sushi- was offensive..not so fresh, most likely edible enough but we couldn't get out of this restaurant quick enough. I had to take a bite of the sucky lemon chicken just to get the taste of the super salty eel sushi. No, I did not dip it in anything. I only eat ginger with eel..a perdonal preference. Need I say more? DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Oregon has no tax on food but I still felt robbed of my $66.00. Shame..

I really only ever get takeout from here, I eat from here very often. I always get the same dishes usually, shrimp chowmein and shrimp fried rice, never have complaints. These are signature dishes for me, I like the portions and I think they're delicious. Their lunch specials are about $9, depends what you get, I do the mongolian chicken and I've tried the beef and broccoli and shrimp with vegetables. You pick the main dish and get a side of steamed rice or pork fried rice and get a soup to pick from, I do miso. These specials are m-f, from 11-3pm. In terms of service, it's usually friendly but I can't speak to the service you receive when you sit down and eat as I only do takeout. However the many many times I've been in, the atmosphere has been pretty quiet.

First timers and ordered thru DoorDash. Both dishes were really good and hot when delivered. Looks like this will be our go to restaurant for authentic Chinese food.

Its a quiet and low-key spot.. I love the mt fuji roll. Been here a handful of times and will continue coming back.

Service and food are fine. Fair priced food and the equivalent in quality. I had the 3 sushi combo, it came with miso. The green tea was good. I also bought a melon Ramune because i had never heard of it. Photo is attached.

I am highly sensitive to MSG and had no adverse reaction to my meal. If you are allergic to it, it would be prudent to ask the staff. I understand that some foods may contain small amounts of MSG that occur naturally.

The food was incredible--like the kind where you take a bite and just stop for a second because it's that good. You can tell there's real skill and intention behind every dish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable without feeling overdone or pretentious. It felt like the kind of place you actually want to sit, relax, and actually enjoy your time. Chef Billy was a highlight--super personable, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about what he does. That personal touch made the whole experience even better. And honestly, this place set the bar so high that when we went to another restaurant the following week and paid more for our meal, it didn't even come close. We literally left wishing we had just gone back here instead. That says everything. If you're considering trying Dueling Spoons--do it. This place is something special, and I'll absolutely be back.

The inside was pretty but it REEKED of used kitty litter the second we walked in. I have no idea why it smelled like that but that's what my entire family described it as and it got even stronger when you walked by the end of the bar. We ordered drinks and I did really like mine so that was a plus. We then ordered a couple appetizers as we had a fairly big party. The sourdough trio and the beef carpaccio were okay. We loved the scallop esquites though which were delicious. The bathroom was really weird, you go through a back door down a hallway and once you get to the all gender bathroom it's closed off by plywood doors for each individual stall which was really weird and felt cheap in a restaurant that looks nicer. Our waitress sucked (a middle aged blonde woman). She took forever to take our orders because she for some reason assumed we were just getting appetizers even though we never said that. When taking our orders my stepdad said "oh you're starting with me?" Just because I think he wasn't ready and in a rude tone she says "well you're sitting in seat number one so I'm just going by order". She was rarely at our table and spent more time talking with the bartender and who I assume are regulars who were sitting at the bar. When our food came out she said "you also ordered the teres major right?" While setting it in front of me before I said no. She then said "oh yeah, I knew that was wrong before I even said anything" and that she had put my order in wrong. She said she'd have the cooks put a rush on it but you can't really put a rush on a steak. She brought out the sides that go with my dish so I wouldn't be without food but the green beans were incredibly salty and the mashed potatoes were dry and almost cold. When my mom offered to let me have some of her steak for the time being the waitress butted in to say "she does have food coming". When my steak finally came out everyone else was already finished eating but she did bring it out with fresh sides and the mashed potatoes were much better! Granted the texture and appearance was so different from the first ones it really made me wonder just how old those first potatoes were which grossed me out a bit. My steak was delicious and I did get a side of chimichurri which was the best chimichurri I've had in a long time. My sister said the sauce for her seafood linguini was pretty bland but she otherwise enjoyed her dish. My mom also mentioned the teres major was really good. So there were some pluses but we all decided the negatives outweighed the positives. Would not recommend.

This isn't the place to bring a group. Inside is tight-there are two small low tables close by together and a narrow bar at one end with maybe 5 stools. There is an outdoor seating area but it was full today. Menu is fairly small. They have fish & chips, fish sandwiches, fish/shrimp salads and 3 types of grilled fish with rice. There are a few sides. There are also daily specials. We had a salmon sandwich with a side of fries and grilled yellowtail with rice which was the special for the day. The salmon sandwich (ordered no sauce or shredded cabbage) was good but nothing special. I'm sure the cabbage and tartar sauce would have given it a bit of zip. The fries were ok. The yellowtail didn't have much flavor until you out what tasted like a light teriyaki. It had brown rice which was nice & chewy and the sauce gave it flavor. You really have to cook fish with flavors like garlic, lemon or something to give it flavor. Service was really good. They were very willing to put things on the side or remove them. I don't think I'd go back. If it's nothing special, I'm not going to pay for a meal out.

Hint, don't eat too much of the bread at the beginning . Overall the ambiance of the place was nice but a bit pretentious.
