I came here for a birthday dinner and it was perfect for a large group. This restaurant is beautiful inside and large. There was plenty of seating outside and in. The service was also very attentive. As for the food I really enjoyed the KING CRAB RANGOON for the appetizer. The spring rolls were delicious as well. For the entree I ordered chicken and broccoli with rice. A good friend of mine suggested Jade for dinner during the COVID pandemic. We were just starting to get comfortable eating indoors again, and Jade certainly did it right! Luckily I came across a Groupon deal for $80 worth of southeast cuisine and speciality cocktails valid Tuesday-Friday. Reservations is required but I am sure walk in's are welcome as well. Parking can be a hassle during rush hours as majority of the streets are private meaning you must have a permit to park. But luckily there's street parking for everyone by the Forest Hills stadium. Please note no valet parking is available anymore after renovation of Jade Eatery and Lounge. Food-I'll give 5 out of 5!! We ordered Vegetables spring rolls and Guru rolls for appetizer. Jaded passion special cocktail and seltzer water. For entree we chose drunken noodles and crispy thai beef. All their main course dishes come with either brown or white rice. Ask them about their spice level when you see a chili next to an item on the menu. Food was delicious; we loved every bite. Though I was told drunken noodles are very spicy but no I have eaten even spicier food this was definitely mild in my opinion. But nevertheless I enjoyed it and even packed some to bring home as I wasn't able to finish it. Prices are fair and portions are huge. I hate it when restaurants give you few bites to eat especially when you are paying over $15. My friend whose extremely a picky eater loved their sushi rolls. The do have a good selection of sushi rolls. Decor- it's a pretty place I like the decor especially the Buddha statue with the pond that has many Koi fish. You can totally feed them just ask the host to give you some food for them. Overall ambiance is awesome! Customer service-5 out of 5! Everyone was attentive and nice except for 1 hostess. Unfortunately I don't recall her name but she had an attitude. The host for our table was attentive, talkative, and nice. He surely talked a lot which is fine we didn't mind as he told us some funny jokes. Lounge- For a Friday night I honestly expected the lounge to be more lively but it wasn't. Came here last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. I am not a fan of Asian food but I actually seen this place due to a review from Instagram so decided to check it out. Pros: Great ambiance, everyone was pleasant, food and drinks was good, the wait to be seated was not long and it was a good amount of patrons and not overly crowded Cons: The only con is I made a reservation and when I was greeted I advised them of my reservation time but it wasn't acknowledged. I don't know if it's because we got there about 45 mins before the kitchen closed. The reason why I am pointing this out is because on the reservation I advised it was a birthday event so they can be aware but I still had to point it out to my waiter. Overall my experience was good I have no major complaints. It was my first time as well as for my friend so it was a new experience for us. Overall, this place was good. The food was pretty good, the portions were nice and big as well. It is a bit pricy, they didn't have a lychee martini when I went but I did get a tequila based drink which was delicious. We got the Calcutta chicken, veggie lo mein, crab Rangoon, lamb chops and a sushi roll. The parking here is definitely a pain in the neck. The interior is a very romantic dim light type of vibe. We did come on a weekday, so I'm not sure how the vibe is on weekends. They offer an array of indo/asian cuisine which is delicious. The only food we were able to try was the "rock shrimp" which just fried shrimp tempura with some spicy mayo on top. We set a reservation for 8:30pm on a Saturday. There were about 5 or more other parties who were waiting to be seated not a good sign and were well past their reservation time. The hostess also was waitressing and you could see the distress on her face trying to manage everything. It seemed the manager or owner was there but looked just as defeated in trying to wrangle everything. Finally we sat down to eat, food came fast. Drinks were not mixed well and had to be sent back. Food was mediocre. The atmosphere was great and the pond was cool but that's about it. I will not be returning or recommending this place. Greetings Foodie Friends I have held off eating at Jade for some time in hopes that since the new owners had taken over it would get better. Sadly it hasn't. I have been a patron pre and post ownership, spanning 13 years for home delivery and dine-in. I loved this place wholly through it past, epic brunches that at one time included a Jazz trio. Its been tough for restaurant owners, even moreso during COVID and totally sympathic to their challenges. The energy and love that was once there isn't. Didn't feel welcomed on entry, although mid-to- late afternoon staff looked tired and disheartened. My food, an appetizer and main, arrived timely and as ordered. The food although well plated tasted lifeless. I can't find a better word to describe it. My drink, a cocktail, was strong but flavors weren't balanced. Also, to mention while seated by a window to enjoy the picturesque, fairytale like views, for the full hour I was seated, outdoor seated patrons were vaping at two tables. As a non-smoker, it's a problem and yes, second hand vape smoke is damaging to others. I advised the waiter and he acknowledged it but didn't do a darn thing. It was at least 10 mins before he asked if I wanted to close the floor-to-ceiling windows which made absolutely no sense considering other indoor patrons seated by these windows. To add, what may have been a staffer or perhaps a guest, stepped out to spit in bushes near the walkway outside the restaurant's door and yes, in patrons views. I hope the owners read these reviews and don't take for granted the location and ambiance of the restaurant as its only draw. The little details do matter.
