    Inside glory wine shelves
    Sabrina L.

The front sign "jade tea garden ", actually the Chinese name is " jade Xiang yue ". The dishes here present two major Chinese cuisine-- Xiang and Yue. The atmosphere is great, luxurious golden glory wine shelves really light up the room. And crystal dragons and clean wall and up to date touch ups. The waitress welcomed us right away when we walked in. By 7pm on Tuesday, there are ten tables. Meanwhile discovered one private room for bigger party like 10people size. I tried two Xiang dishes, two Yue dishes ( attached in the photos). Except the fish belly soup lack of the Yue cuisine essential flavor , need little more cooking time. Impressive roasted duck skin, crispy and crunchy, meat is juicy. The two stirred fried Xiang dishes are good. And the dessert , so far the best I tried in the Bay Area-- brown sugar sticky rice roll. Be cautious about the inside hot running brown sugar soup. This is fancy place for friends and family gatherings, personally don't think its options are kid's favorites. Price wise, really reasonable align with the quality and value, also the convenience.

Stopped here for a quick bite after grocery shopping (LOL) and ended up with a feast. We ordered the roast duck, chicken and the cauliflower. Timing of food delivery was off with the cauliflower coming out a good 15 min before everything else, but everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. The ambiance reminds me of a cruise ship food hall but they had some pretty elements to make it nice and the bathroom is clean and spacious which I appreciated. Would definitely eat here again. I also noticed they had a lot of large private rooms for group events.

Second visit and this time is for dinner. We were tempted by the 4th of July special of Peking Duck set $39.99 (menu price is $59.99!) or Lobster E Noodle ($29.99). Dinner service was much better, more attenuative. Tea was free and once we showed the city coupon, we were able to enjoy the Peking Duck set at the discounted price. Food came in on a reasonable time and the portions are big. The house special seafood fried rice is pan fried with enough wok heat. The Peking Duck came with scallion threads and a sauce and a basket of steamed buns. The duck meat under the skin were cooked to perfection, soft and juicy, the drums were slightly dry. But overall it's quite tasty. We had better dining experience during dinner than dim sum and we felt confident at their food quality.

    Crispy pork stomach

This is a relatively new restaurant that has two sections. There is the main restaurant section and a more "fast food" section on the other side. Both sections share the restroom that is in the corridor that connects the two sections. My review is mostly regarding the main restaurant section. The Chinese name of the restaurant means a combination of Hunan and Cantonese cuisine. I have a feeling the Cantonese part is mainly the leftover of the previous restaurants on the same premise before the current ownership/name change. The Hunan cuisine here is pretty good to be in the top enchelon. Food is spicy and flavorful correctly. I wouldn't say it's the best there is but it's way better than your average Hunan food. My only complaint would be the portion could be bigger. I think they did a good job with stir fried pork with peppers even when you choose the non spicy version. As I said the dishes are very flavorful. The frogs are very tender but portion is tiny for the price you pay. I love the crunchy pork stomach. It's different from other hunan restaurants I've had but wouldn't say it's worse. What came as delightful surprise is the actual roasted duck. This totally falls into the Cantonese part of the food menu but it's very very well done. The duck skin is crispy properly almost as good as an authentic peking duck skin. The meat is tender juicy and very flavorful. I'd say it's the best Cantonese roast duck I've had in the whole Bay Area. It's pricy for the original price but for the sale price it's a must have. The service is decent and attentive and the place itself is smaller than what the outside would suggest. The decorations can be cheesy but I don't really care and the tables are arranged in a functional way that works well enough. They wanted but give a higher class feel but somewhat fails due to open dining area arrangements of the tables. Overall I think it's a solid 4.5 but due to lack of choices in the Bay Area, I've decided to give it 5 stars instead of 4.

To me, the food was very good. It is a mix of Hunan and Guangdong cuisine. Service was pretty standard and waiters were nice. Flavors were great, authentic, and aromatic. I'd come back. I really liked this sizzling pot we got with the short ribs. This fried glutinous rice cake thing we got was also really good and had some date-like syrup on the inside. The inside of the restaurant looks quite nice as well.

Love the interior design and the service, but the food didn't excite me despite the unique presentation. Probably should order their cute animal steamed buns instead. The service from the host and servers were great and friendly to talk while serving food and cleaning our table. Expect to have a long wait during the holidays and weekends by getting a number.

Really great dim sum spot! Came here on a Saturday for brunch and really liked it! We were seated quickly and they even gave us a large table to make sure we had enough space. There's tons of menu diversity and we were able to order quickly. Some highlights include the fried pork intestine, the congee, and the pork dishes! They also have interesting desserts, which were fun and novel but weren't the best in my opinion. In all, I definitely enjoyed coming here and would come back again!

We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Most of the tables are empty . The ambiance was very nice . Good customer service . I came here for dim sum twice . I must say that dinner is delicious. All the dishes taste great, portion is generous and the waiter was very helpful, We have ordered 10 different dishes . I like the dinner dishes more than their dim sum ! I have enclosed a list of the items we ordered . My favorite ones are the lamb brisket clay pot , lobster yee noodles and stir fry beef with choy sum ( veggies ) . They have a separate menu for dinner dishes and not just seafood . Will come back soon to try other items .

Restaurant used to be a Cantonese restaurant, therefore, they do offer some typical Cantonese dishes. Ordered spicy green beans, it was spicy but bland, asked for extra spicy assuming more peppers lol not chili powder. Dry pot was the only thing that I thought was good. Frog was expensive and it was just aright, took a long time to come out and I just don't find it worth it. The fried mochi with red sugar inside is not that glutinous at all. I personally wouldn't order it again. Nothing was bad? But it wasn't like super good either? Wasn't really the Hunan cuisine taste that I expected. But do have to give to them that the food was spicy. Bring your own napkins as theirs are super tiny and thin.

    - beautifully designed space! service was attentive as well - food was solid - good large sharing portion, each dish had great flavor - would recommend the beijing style duck - skin was crispy, and so yummy in the bao, duck itself had good flavor too

I was truly impressed by this Chinese restaurant!the environment is exceptionally clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated.it exudes a sense of refined luxury -very tasteful and classy from the moment you walk in. The food was absolutely top-notch.every dish was beautifully presented, made with fresh ingredients, and bursting with flavor. The quality is definitely -end, yet the price are very reasonable and fair. Excellent value for the quality you receive. I especially want to thank the owner We arrived quite late, close to closing time, but the owner still warmly welcomed us and even went out of their way to prepare a special table for us. We were truly touched by their kindness. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine Chinese cuisine. This place offers more than just a meal -It's a delightful dining experience.

    Egg yolk buns

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years- when it was Joy Luck Palace, Dynasty Restaurant temporarily, and now. They've done a lot of improvements to the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, it feels very modern and upscale now. The service was also a lot better than previously, though that may be because I went at an off, less busy hour (2pm ish on a Saturday). I had the baked BBQ pork bun, shrimp rice roll, seafood pan fried rice noodle, egg yolk buns, sui mai, and pork ribs. The pork ribs were a little too fatty for my taste, and I wish that the buns had come out a little warmer/fresher tasting, but I was satisfied with the taste and quality of the food otherwise. This was my first time having pan fried rice noodles like this, and I loved having the mix of crispy and non crispy noodles as well as the generous portion of seafood and veggies!

Jade Tea Garden is an upscale Chinese restaurant in the heart of the Cupertino Village Plaza with its impressive newly renovated interior, projection logos scattered throughout the restaurant, and intricate ceiling details. The menu is a booklet with many photos of the dishes however, the selection is not comparable to a lot of other upscale Chinese restaurants. They offer a selection of typical Chinese dishes like kung pao chicken, walnut shrimp, fried rice, and chow fun. *Lobster e fu noodles - This dish is incredibly aromatic. Lobster meat was a lot of work but each bite was sweet and meaty. The noodles were sweet and buttery with an eggy finish, pairing well with most of the other dishes we ordered. *Pork jowl with bell pepper - The pork jowl was so good. Each cut was fatty with a nice snappy texture. The bell peppers were interlaced with jalapeños so it was like playing russian roulette heat edition. Its difficult to tell the jalapeno cuts from the bell peppers so it truly did feel like a gamble each bite. I dislike how this wasn't disclosed on the menu to warn you ahead of time. *Salted egg yolk prawn with pumpkin - perfectly fried to a crisp, although greasy. Pumpkin is tender and goes great with the salted egg seasoning. This dish is truly a guilty pleasure. * rock cod fillet tofu clay pot - Rock cod is incredibly soft and melts in your mouth. The braised tofu is seasoned well and soaks up the soy based sauce beautifully. * beef short rib with mushroom & bamboo shots - firstly, it was asparagus not bamboo. I'm disappointed because the dish wasn't as described and I'm not so much an asparagus fan. Other than that, the dish itself was so flavorful. The sauce was so tasty and bold while the beef was melty soft and tender. The mushrooms were juicy and cooked perfectly. * Red bean dessert - this is a complimentary dish so I wouldn't expect too much. Beans and tapioca pearls were soft but the red bean liquid was really watered down and thin in consistency. * corn mango pudding - Flavor is just ok, just a novel cool dessert item to order. I wouldn't order it again honestly. Food quality is a solid 4. We ordered 12 items and found 10 of them to be high quality in both taste and texture. Portion sizes were great for sharing family style. Service is a 3 because for a restaurant that is 30% full on a Saturday night, it was so slow and the waiters seem to be hiding somewhere at all times. Our meal took 2 hours to complete with perhaps the longest part being tracking down a waiter for boxes and the check. Our waiter was constantly shouting at us when speaking to us which may be a cultural practice but can be perceived as rude and unprofessional. One thing I didn't like was how the dishes were mismatched with the utensils. For example, a stringy vegetable dish was paired with a large serving spoon making it impossible to effectively serve. A lot of the dishes didn't make sense for the silverware provided. At least give one spoon and fork for each dish so we can use it like makeshift tongs. I wanted to give this place a 3.5 but the food quality was actually good so I just rounded to a 4 instead. This review is strictly based on dinner so dim sum experience may be significantly different.

Had a great experience prior to this with a friend so I wanted to bring my mom to try. My experience from the service however was a little uncomfortable. When I went with my mom there was no customers. The server seated us at the bench closest to the wall (the table was pushed into the bench against the wall so we had to move it.) Apparently a lot of the legs on some of the tables and benches are wobbly so they put things under to balance it. The servers told us to move it back under the table since we pushed the table out to sit into the bench. My mom is older and she has a hard time walking, she asked to switch to another table where the benches and tables were already spaced out properly because it is hard for her to bend down and move the things under the table legs. The server gave my mom an attitude and asked why two people couldn't fit into our current table.

Although the new Cupertino location is smaller than their previous spot, the food hasn't missed a beat. We started with the Taiwanese kimchi and century egg tofu with pork floss! both great appetizers that set the tone for the meal. For mains, we ordered the tendon beef soup, dry mixed noodles, and the peanut-braised pork feet. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and reminiscent of classic Taiwanese home-style cooking. The dishes leaned slightly on the sweeter side, which added to the nostalgic feel. The standout for me was the beef tendon braised soup! The soup was hearty with picked mustard elevating the natural flavor of the beef, super satisfying, perfect for me to order because I usually don't eat the noodles. The tendon so soft and melts in your mouth! W texture Service was impressively fast; our food arrived within five minutes of ordering. The interior, however, feels more like a commercial kitchen and retail space than a traditional restaurant, with shelves stocked with Liang's Village frozen foods and sauces available for purchase. It's not the most atmospheric dining experience, but the food more than makes up for it. If you're craving authentic Taiwanese comfort food in the South Bay, Liang's Village is definitely worth a visit.

After placing our order, the food came out relatively quick. We ordered 2 beef noodle soups, the works, and 2 beef rolls. Starting off with the beef rolls, these came out cold. Please tell me how the pancake look brown and crispy on the outside and still comes out cold and not crispy at all. My nephew even said they weren't crispy and he's 3. The lady told us that the sauce on the inside was salty and that's why they don't give extra and man was she right. 1/5* The beef noodles soup itself flavor wise was good and portion wise it was good for $21, but my noodles had no chew to them at all. I was attempting to pick them up with chopsticks and they would just break into pieces. They do give a decent amount of beef though in this. 2.5/5* for the flavor but don't expect much from the noodles. Same thing went for the works, it was a peanut buttery sauce that the lady claimed wasn't spicy, but my parents noticed that it had a kick to it even though they asked for it not to be spicy. The egg is a nice touch but not too sure if it's worth the price. Noodle consistency was the same as the beef noodle soup. 2.5/5*

Service was minimal- we weren't even sure presented with 2 cups and a carafe of water to start. Our order arrived and we got a complimentary seaweed miso soup. Soup was quite good with real seaweed - not the dehydrated stuff in some Japanese restaurants. Surprisingly the food was delicious! The ma po tofu was very authentic. There's schezwan peppers or Mala in it but it was not overpowering that it numbs your tastebuds! The tofu was soft and silky. The beef had good flavor and balanced the meal out. Beef was tender. The name is also really misleading because many Taiwanese restaurant use Grandma as the name. As a foodie this restaurant is legit. It's in a small plaza shared with another Taiwanese restaurant so parking can be difficult but there are plenty of street parking right next to the restaurant. The interior is clean and well organized. The service is prompt and good enough. They ask for reviews but didn't promise some freebie for a semi fake 5 star review which is great. I never leave a good review just for a freebie because my integrity is way more expensive than freebies. The food is phenomenal and authentic in every way. The frogs are tender and the spices are not overwhelming and brings out the flavor of the frog meat just right. The cured pork (pig face meat) is very rare in the states. It's also cured properly to give the authentic hunan flavor. They also mix it with raddish slices which is also rare in most Chinese restaurants here in the states. Even the conch with bamboo shots surprised me in how thin the slices of the conches are. It's also flavored without being too spicy nor too salty. Everything is on point. I do wish they used better white rice but that alone is not enough for me to take off any stars. This is just a wonderful restaurant that's on par with my favorite hunan restaurant in San Gabriel and I'm so glad I found it because I'm sure going to go back every week now.
