Stone dead. I returned a week later to sign cancellation papers for their useless add-ons, yet 8 weeks later, they have completely ghosted me. No updated contract, no confirmation of final costs, and zero response to calls or texts. I wouldn't trust these people to sell me a used 1998 Corolla, let alone a high-performance vehicle. A Disgrace to the Tata Legacy It is baffling that Jaguar Land Rover trusts the Niello family with their reputation. These dealerships are an extension of the Tata Group--a proud Indian brand built on global respect. By treating customers with such blatant disregard, Niello is failing a world-class organization that deserves better than this level of incompetence. Niello claims to "embrace change." Apparently, that means changing from a respected family business into a corporate ghost-town that hides from its customers. I purchased a vehicle from them in 2002 new , S-Type. My vehicle has been serviced only them for the past 22 years. I made an appointment to service my vehicle. They called me and emailed me canceling my appointment, and telling me they would give me the names of other providers that could service my vehicle. I have used this Dealership for over 14 years and have always been beyond satisfied with the service and treatment I received. That is until recently. They Did a few services on my Jaguar S Type R. It Ended coming with no oil in it and a blown motor. After having my car for over a year and 3 trips and keeping my car another 4 months the motor they replaced mine with lasted under 500 miles. The paint from my car sitting outside has become faded and stained. The tires have flat spotted and found out the rear brakes were gone. They are now just ignoring my calls. After the Tens of thousands of dollars i have spent and the many customers I have sent them as well as having all my cars serviced at Niello dealships. This treatment is very sad. Today I purchased a used 2016 FIAT 500 Abarth convertible. I originally was looking for Fiat on CarGurus and was sent to this dealership where the car was. I spoke to Roger who was able to get my trade-in for a better price and also guide me through the features and what the car has to offer. It didn't feel pushy and it was very convenient because the car is going to be delivered to SF from Sacramento- which he included for buying it. I felt safe too because I can Return the car if I don't like it up to 700 miles. He also did FaceTime , so that I could look at the car from his view. I got a warranty and a couple other features that didn't cost that much more - $5 more on the monthly payments and more than half off for the tire replacement program offered. Overall, I would recommend buying your car from further away online with them because they made it easy and feel safe. Now we shall see how it all goes when the car gets delivered soon! This is the absolute worst dealer service department I have ever dealt with. Their lack of customer service and poor quality of workmanship was a major contributing factor in my selling my wonderful Jaguar. I will never purchase another car that would necessitate my dealing with this company. During one visit as soon as I got in my car after "service" the tire warning light came on. Long story short, one of the service techs ran over a bolt in the parking lot, inbedding it in my tire, and they wanted to charge me to replace the tire. When the no charge issue was resolved, it took over six months to get a tire, and still, they argued about it. I never felt appreciated as a customer there. I've had nothing but bad experiences with this dealership: high prices, no negotiation, and arrogant salespeople make this dealership and its entire Niello brand a skip. First for a Porsche Taycan that they listed for thousands over competitors and then an F-Type. If you want a car from them, just wait it out. I track their prices and they decrease them on a biweekly basis until the car sells. Why they do this and waste time allowing cars to collect dust on their lots instead of just taking a market value offer to clear inventory is the most puzzling business decision to me. Additionally, they spam the crap out of you via repeated emails, phone calls, and automated messages if you inquire about a car. I had been looking at Jaguars on-line and found the exact model, color, etc. at Sacramento Jaguar. Since Sacramento is about 10 hours south of me, I thought it would be challenging to get my current (leased) car sold/returned/traded in and get me down there to pick up the new car. Abe helped me organize the whole thing - it was great working with him. It ended up that Sac Jaguar made a generous offer on my trade-in without even seeing it in person. They arranged the financing at a great rate. They arranged for one of their staff to drive the Jag up to Oregon and meet me about half way. We met and traded cars there, I signed a bunch of papers and was able to enjoy my new Jag all the way home. I am ridiculously happy with this car. The lady on the phone didn't let me finish my enter sentence before cutting me off to tell me no I can't reschedule because "my advisor" closed his schedule. She didn't verify none of my information, she assumed I called already when I didn't I was in the facility the morning of. Called the service department three times over the course of two weeks. Also engaged in an online chat for nearly 20 minutes off of their website and was told that a service person would call me. I inquired if they would call same day, next day, or same week. Their response "when a service agent is available". It's been two weeks since that interaction and I have still not received a call. During that time my Jaguar I-Pace sat dead in my driveway. Completely unresponsive service department. I had to have my car towed to Walnut Creek for service. Very disappointed in Sacramento Jag. STILL SMILING ABOUT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE Often when people write reviews they just talk about how good someone was to them or how terrible it was. It's not often that you get a chance to really write something great about people who you had no idea about until you met them. I'm old enough now, and set along my career path and I had finally made up my mind that I was going to indulge myself and make one of my boyhood dreams happen. When I was younger a friend of mine's, dad or mom's boyfriend had this beautiful car and took some of the neighborhood kids out for a ride. I remember this car having a long front end, brown leather seats and this really kewl wood trim, finish inside. I thought this car was the most awesome thing beyond a hot wheel, that I had ever seem. I remember telling all my friends, "When I grow up I'm going to get one of these". My friends laughed and razzed me of course, I had no idea how much or really knew what I was saying, but I remember I was impressed. So much that image stayed in the back of my mind to my adulthood. This year I decided that it was time for me to finally reward myself with a nice ride something special for me. After researching everything I could, I was ready to go after a Jaguar F Pace S. I went to Sacramento Jaguar Land Rover and met Jessica. Due to Covid, Jessica had switched to from selling Volvos for the Neillo Grp to selling Land Rovers and Jags. This was only her third day on the lot. She was attentive and patient. She took me on my first test drive of the Jag and I knew I was hooked. Not all on the car right away, but her. She was very upfront and made my wife and I feel important. There was no push for a sale and she must have walked that lot back and forth with me at least 6 times on that 100+ degree day. None of the cars had exactly what I wanted so I had to walk away. I figured if I'm going to spend X amount of money for a nice car, I'm not going to settle. A few days later I recontacted Jessica to ask about cars in other locations. She got her manager Paul C. involved. He told me to take a look anywhere in the US at dealerships and see if I could find the car with all the features I wanted. Of course I thought to myself, there is no way this guy is going ship a car across the US just for me or the cost is going to add so much more to the car that it wont be feasible. Needless to say I decided to try anyway and found my car in the southern US. Paul asked me just three words, "are you sure?" And when I said yes, it arrived just 4 days later. The car, my deal, the people, just all of it make this dealership a cut above anything I have experience in any retail environment. I know that not everyone will be in the market for a Land Rover or Jaguar, but if you are GO HERE! It will be a miserable future follow up for my next vehicle sales person I'm sure, because Jessica and Paul have set the bar so high. What can I say... My car decided to stop in the middle of the road, steering wheel started locking and I barely was able to avoid a car crash, found out from the shop it was towed to that $3,500 "might" fix the issue and that $8,000 would definitely fix the issue. So, I started car shopping.Then the very next morning, we discovered something was seriously wrong with our five month old which lead to an extended stay at "hotel" hospital. I reached out to many dealerships, one in particular stuck out to me. That was this dealership, specifically Laura. At the hospital my phone reception was absolutely horrible, but we were able to text back and forth, eventually finding the perfect car, at a manageable monthly payment amount, and reasonable terms. I was so happy to get approval for a vehicle (especially since I don't have spectacular credit, and some lenders see me as a high risk) .The next step was to try and arrange for someone to be at the hospital with the baby so my husband can go drive me to pick up my new car.Before I could even lift a figure to phone a friend to start making those arrangements, I received a text from Laura saying if I can't make it to the dealership to sign all of the documents, that the dealership can deliver the new car to me!!! The lousy non-responsive service department is bad and why a nearby competitor exists and why I did not buy my XK from this dealer. I have called the service manager and as always he promises they will do better but never do. What is the problem? You can never ever get a person on the phone. I have left messages threatening to all the General Manager and still no call back. They always seem overwhelmed and under staffed. If you are selling a high end car and charge upward of $200 per hour I would think picking up the phone and returning calls would be important. Not this with this crew. Sales folk seemed decent enough although a while back I did encounter a gal who thought I must have been kidding and refused to unlock and let me inspect the inside of a car. (Over weight gal who I suspect is not there anymore.) This despite the fact I have two Jaguars and had purchased a new S-type there. Frankly, I have ended up going to the Bay Area for purchases and when my cars are out of warranty going to the nearby competitor Stewarts for repair. read more
