We decided to try Jaime's for a friend's birthday a couple of months back. I was part of a party of 8 with potential of an amazing tip. It took the waitstaff almost 30 minutes to acknowledge us another 30 min to get our drinks, another hour before our order was taken, then a good hour for the food to arrive. My meal looked like it had been sitting for awhile, my husband's was great, and one of my friend's had not one but 2 long black hairs in her burger!! Went in on an extremely slow Friday afternoon at 2:40. Maybe one other table was seated ordered extremely fast due to it being so slow and proceeded to wait a half hour for two sandwiches one of which was only a tomato, mozzarella panini and a salad. No one made any effort to explain the hold up and instead were more busy with what was going on outside then there few paying customers inside. This is my 1st time for food my 2nd time overall. Drinks are great our bartender Amanda is good. We ordered 3 apps: coconut shrimp, spring rolls and the Mac n cheese. Spring rolls were spicy yet good well seasoned. The Mac n cheese was a large order yet it was bland no seasonings whatsoever. The shrimp was tasty BUT it was 4 regular sized shrimp for $14!! Not jumbo only 4. We called Wally over the manager and he was NOT helpful at all . Gave us some excuse that it was market price. Normally on the menu it says market price right on there. Can't say enough of this place. Every date night, it's our spot. Recently had the Beef Raviolis Marsala and it was AMAZING. Also recommend the Steak Tips for lunch. Also has the best bartenders and the best selection of drafts in the area. read more

Appetizers and food were absolutely delicious. Portions were large. Service was right on. Martini's and margarita's yummy! We sat in the outside dining space and it was so comfy! I have been going here since it opened and continue to go on a weekly basis The food is Great and so is the atmosphere. The bar is spacious and they kept the historical ambieance of the former textile mill. If you like the 99 which I do not this is a great alternative as the food is consistently good and they mix it up with great specials unlike the 99 which is inconsistent and boring. I have never had a bad meal here or cold food unlike the 99. The bartenders and waitresses are phenomenol and the prices are very reasonable. Jamie is a Great owner that knows what the people want and caters to that I highly recommend this place. read more

I've been to Jamie's a few times and it's consistently mediocre. The menu isn't inspired, just mildly upscale American bar food. It's interesting they charge a $1 upcharge for a Morning Star Farm veggie burger. That must say something about the quality of their hamburger meat if it costs them more for a $.75 frozen veggie patty. read more

The atmosphere and staff are cool and laid back. It's got good lighting and doesn't feel like your neighbor can hear every swear out of your mouth ;) they have a patio open I. Something wonderful has happened at Jaime's - went for dinner on Friday, March 18th and the food was awesome! The calamari was delish (although I prefer the dipping sauce they serve with the homemade potato chips rather than what they come with), three seafood dishes cooked to perfection - I suggest the Mahi Mahi tacos! The service has always been great but Jaime and his staff went above and beyond when the battery on my niece's insulin pump died and Jaime made a trip to the store for batteries during our meal! Prior to this past visit I agreed with the food reviews that preceed my review today, but this visit changed my mind. I hope it stays changed. read more

My first time here was Saturday. This place was excellent right down to the waitress. I got the haddock my wife got the Sam Adams beer fried haddock my other buddy got the Haddock his wife got the muscles the lettuce everything was fantastic. We are going there again probably this Friday it's a definite new hangout choice for me. Also I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I found the bar to be huge. My favorite was the espresso martini. Not great. Tenderloin tips were partly inedible (tough) for $23. Avocado tacos ($17) had one piece of avocado in each of three tacos, with a sprinkle of corn, a bunch of napa cabbage, a few tomato bits, and a drizzle of ranch dressing on each taco. Overpriced and mediocre. read more

Always have a good time here when I'm in town, they have burgers that rotate as a special that are great! Kinda sad that they change the menu what seems like once every six months because you think your going to get something only to find out they're being innovative. I have been to Jaime's twice for lunch and each time it was good. Our waitress, Amanda recognized us right away and asked if I wanted club soda again to drink. It was nice to be remembered. You don't get that too many places. Had the California Burger, which was very good, tasted like it had just come off the grill and it was so juicy even though I like my burger cooked medium well. Most places either under cook it or burn it, the chef cooked it to perfection! Amanda also remembered that i liked the sweet potato fries from my visit the week before and asked if I wanted those this time. I had the fudge sundae desert and it was soooo good! and BIG! I had to share it, too much for just one person but perfect for two. The atmosphere is nice, simple but classy with black table clothes and white cloth napkins, they don't distract from the old mill brick and the machinery left in the ceiling from the days when it was a working mill. I like that it is not fussy. Amanda was very attentive but did not hover and I liked that the owner was changing table clothes and talking to customers. It shows me he is dedicated and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. The first time I was in he was working the bar. How many owners do you see at other restaurants??? How many of them would bus a table or greet you? They also have a lunch club and if you purchase 5 lunches you get your 6th one for free! How cool is that?! Love it. First off let me start by saying there are multiple reviews below that are totally bogus. I love how the ones from Todd C. and C.P. are the only reviews they've ever done on yelp. Coincidence? I think not. If your like me and want to go to a place where the owner cares, values customers and continues to work on improving the menu then Jamie's is a place for you. I've been to Jamie's probably 10+ times and Jamie is there every time. (yeah there really is a guy named Jamie who owns and works in the place daily). Anyone who knows Jamie knows that he will succeed and continue to make his restaurant a great one for patrons of Merrimack Valley. Is the restaurant perfect? No. Is the food better than the reviews below will tell you? Absolutely. Will the owner remember you by name after you've been there a couple of times and also look for your opinion on how to improve the restaurant (because it genuinely matters to him)? Absolutely. I love how people knock a restaurant right after they open and condemn it to fail. Get real people this isn't a Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds. It's a local owned and operated restaurant, not some chain restaurant or assembly line. Go to Jamie's. Get a beer and the steak tips. What to say about Jamies other than that it's a potential gem that misses the mark, ever so slightly. Atmosphere - Great decor that incorporates elements of the original mill building. Nice lighting and comfortable seating. Service - Quite good actually. On the several occassions we've been in the hostess & waitstaff have been attentive and accomodating (though not always as knowledgeable about their food items or bar offerings as you might like.) Minor special requests have been handled without a hassle as well. Bar, Drinks, Beer List - Fun atmosphere around the bar (though always crowded when we are in.....good problem to have I suppose) with a decent beer list that strikes a good balance between the domestic standards and some very worthwhile micro-brews and imports (including a few Belgians). The mixed coctails we've tried have been up to par as well. And finally.....the FOOD - This is where Jamies falls a bit short I'm afraid. We've had a few decent burgers with fries and the steak tips have been okay but all our adventures into anything more elaborate on their dinnner menu has left us feeling disappointed. Recently tried the stuffed pork tenderloin and had the distinct impression (from the flavor) that it was probably a pre-made frozen affair. Same goes for the slice of cheescake that was brought out at the end of the meal....it was either previously frozen or their walk-in needs a thorough cleaning. Similar story on a previous visit in which the Cajun Scallops were simply too tough and too freezer burned tasting to have been brought in fresh, no wonder the "cajun" preparation I guess. Jamies "could" be a real gem and it's perfectly nice if you are in the mood for just someplace close to home where you can get a decent burger and a good micro on draft.....but the rest of their menu needs a "freshness" upgrade if it's ever to rise above mediocre and become a real "dinner out" sort of place. read more

The decor is good, there are plenty of TV's in the bar. The bathrooms are so far away and in a public building apart from the restaurant that you should bring a friend for safety reasons. We got a turkey club and fries and 2 beers. The turkey was dry, the fries were bland and the beer was fine. The bartenders were rude and the regulars were the only people who seemed to be their priority. Looks to me like Jamie took all of his idea's from his previous employer, even including the "catch phrases" his staff uses. We will not be returning. read more

This place is so much fun! My husband and I really enjoy going there. They even have a patio with live music in the warmer months. The chef makes incredibly good food. My wife and I eat here quite often. We usually sit at a high top or in the section separated by glass. We have been her more than 20 times, and each time has been sufficient for a great review. They recently made some additions to the menu, which gave it a more creative spin. I think there was a new burger, an Asian noodle dish, and maybe a new app. One of the best aspects of Jaime's is its management and staff. The waitstaff is young, but has matured with time. I hate when I go into a place and I know more about the menu then the waiter. this does not happen here. I usually make a few changes to what I order, and they are always accommodating. The owner/manager is ALWAYS available, should there be an issue- I have yet to speak to him about anything negative. GARBAGE. This was one of the worst places I've ever had the displeasure of eating in. But let's keep it fair and stick with the Pro/Con approach. Pros: There are none. I'd say the lighting was good, but honestly it just revealed how much dirt and grime were everywhere. Cons: 1.Bathroom odor: Even though the bathroom isn't two feet away from the dining area, I could smell the worst, putrid aura down the hallway. I had to step outside a few times to just get away from it. 2.Cigarettes. How many cigarette butts does it take before you clean them up? I mean they were all over the place(outdoors at least). There were a few on the ground (and I don't mind that) but in the immediate area out of plain site were TONS. 3. The food. Possibly one of the worst wings I've ever eaten in my life. I heard they were halfway decent and let's be honest it's pretty hard to mess up fried chicken wings. Somehow they were able to. The texture was off and the taste was like someone left them in the fish fryalator for 25 minutes too long. All around - I wouldn't go back again. read more

I absolutely love it here, my friend got me hooked. I don't know where to begin, but here it goes. The food is amazing, excellent service, reasonable prices, great menu selection, very spacious, and I love the ambiance in the restaurant. It is not too dark but not too bright, just perfect. Unlike other restaurants, they have different seating accommodations to suit your needs whether it be in the bar area, the lounge, outside with their warming fireplace, or a separate room in the back which is ideal for private meetings. Last time I was there, I had the pleasure of meeting Wally, one of the managing partners. If you are going on the weekend, definitely get there early as it gets very crowded.
